Based on that information, I scheduled an appointment and took time off work to bring him in. When we arrived, however, we were met by rude and unprofessional staff and were then told that the clinic does not perform ear cropping on mixed-breed dogs. This was extremely frustrating, especially because I had already provided that information when scheduling the appointment. Because of the time that was unnecessarily lost, I am now concerned that the window for having the procedure done is closing. Regardless of anyone's personal opinion about ear cropping, the issue here is the way the situation was communicated and handled. If the clinic does not perform the procedure on mixed-breed dogs, that should have been clearly communicated when I initially inquired and scheduled the appointment. I understand that businesses have policies and limitations, but customers deserve accurate information, clear communication, and respectful treatment. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.
