Expensive oh expensive…read more I want to start this review by saying that everyone there was very nice and kind--that is not the issue. The issue is how expensive the service was. My vehicle is a 2015 Toyota Corolla. I left it at the shop on a Saturday because the check engine light had come on. In hindsight, I should have asked about the diagnostic fee beforehand. I didn't have an appointment; I simply dropped off the car and left the keys. Again, everyone at the shop was very friendly and professional. After dropping off the car at 8:15 a.m., I called around 12:45 p.m. and was told they had been trying to contact me. In the end, they quoted me approximately $1,400 for a complete gas canister replacement and fuel induction service. When I tried to negotiate the price, they lowered it to about $1,350, but the parts had to be ordered and the repair would not be completed until Monday. The diagnostic fee came to $258.35 if paid in cash. If you pay with a debit or credit card, there is an additional 3% charge. I wish I had known about the diagnostic fee beforehand because it felt like a punch in the gut. I earned less than $800 that week, so every dollar matters in my budget. I paid the fee, but unfortunately, I would not return. I simply cannot afford their prices

They are open only on weekdays and can take a few hours depending on business. They do get busy. It is refreshing to be a part of the few remaining family-owned auto mechanics that hold passion over profit. I trust them.

I called to have someone check and replace it while at home since the tow trucks take a long time to come to you and I didn't want to get stuck somewhere and have to wait for them . However, when he came he sprayed something on it to clean it and confirmed it wasn't good but now the terminals are rusted. He said he couldn't change it because I didn't have a receipt. I purchased the car from a friend but they didn't have the receipt. I had to call AAA again to advise what occurred. The representative said I would need to go to a AAA authorized dealer. I was given one near me which was this one. I phoned the place early and asked if they had batteries for my car. They said yes but had to wait for a delivery and would be an hour.i decided to wait at home and then go 2 hours later. I waited for a bit and inquired why taking so long for a battery . He had someone look at my car and I waited then the mechanic told me they didn't have a battery and needed to wait for one half hour. That was the reason I called ahead of time to confirm. I finally got the battery and only paid the waste fee but all of this of course could r been from home or earlier at this authorized dealer since it was already noted in the system and by my self. The place had a cute phone charger as a battery and it course the name went along as a theme with decor which was cute. They are not open in the weekends per the sign. Pretty easy to find with the location conveniently located for customers in the Boca area .

Tire Kingdom looked at it and said they don't want to touch it and there's nothing they can do to fix it as it's Jiffy Lube's responsibility. So now I'm sitting here with a car that is not operable and both shops don't know how to fix it, however, both said I should go to Japanese Auto Care to get it fixed. I came to Japanese Auto Care early Monday morning, fully expecting them to tell me to take it to a Mazda dealership or that they would be too busy to take me. To my pleasant surprise, that was not the case at all. Jimmy immediately said he would be able to get it taken care of and get me up and running same day. Jimmy called around to make sure that someone was able to provide the studs that were specific to my car, and kept me updated along the way. More importantly, while I sat there waiting for my car to be done (in a very clean and comfortable waiting room might I add), lots and lots of people filtered in and out, either picking up or dropping off, speaking to Jimmy as if they were family, considering they have been coming here for so long. Jimmy answered every single phone call that came through no matter how busy he was, and had such a kind and professional demeanor with each individual person he spoke to. Within a few hours I was finally headed home, thanks to Jimmy and team. They were able to do what other "popular" and corporate auto body shops couldn't. I know one thing that I have struggled with for the 11 years I've had my car, is finding a trustworthy, dependable mechanic, and I think I have finally found the one.

The Tires Plus had a low 2.6 rating with 45/93 one star reviews which is horrific but seems to be common at vehicle repair shops with an array of customer experiences in the reviews. So called each of the three repair shops and spoke with a mechanic or manager from each place. The Tires Plus price quote was provided by Brian and at the lower end and he provided discounts with an appointment time slot today that we chose. Dropped my daughter's car off at the location. The service of an oil change, new battery and tire rotation would take only 1.5 hours. Brian notified me of a few other maintenance concerns including the engine filter and cabin filter that would be completed by me. Somehow every repair shop does this upsell and I hate it. My engine filter had plenty of life left on it which was also confirmed later at an auto parts store. Also, the tire air pressure light was on and drove back to the Tires Plus where they immediately checked all the tire pressure which was perfect although he could not figure out how to reset the digital Tire Pressure alert. My smart wife pulled up YouTube and we reset the Tire Pressure notice in about one minute. Not really sure why so many 1 star ratings here - clean job, repairs in timely manner and price quote honored/cost efficient. Maybe would have eeked out 4 stars if a discount coupon was given for the next oil change and the tire pressure light was taken care of at the first visit.

My husband's Nissan Leaf was experiencing AC issues and we were quoted an astronomical amount of money by the dealership to fix a what we thought was a small repair. Majority, if not all all of the non-dealership repair shops refused to work on a full EV's as they do not have the required qualifications. Reece from Vertical was super nice and very reassuring on my first phone call that they not only have the certification with the experience to do so. It was very easy to bring in and drop it off our vehicle. All of the staff we encountered was very friendly. They took about 2 to 3 days to diagnose the issue. It turns out that there really wasn't an issue to begin with, even though the dealership was convinced we had some sort of line leak. They ran a test that the dealership didn't even offer us to run. And determined that the AC was working normally it just needed a little bit of time to warm up ironically. Upon picking up my vehicle, the mechanic that worked on it actually recommended that we get the windows tinted, which would help with the AC since it's been so hot. He said that EV's run a little differently than gas vehicles when it comes to the AC. They even offered for us to bring the vehicle back if we were experiencing the same issue again. Overall, I highly recommend Vertical Auto. They are conveniently located on Oakland Park Boulevard and I-95. I will definitely be returning to them for our future mechanic related needs.
