I showed the picture of the cashier and he said that there weren't barcodes on the bagel so it's hard to package them ( who barcode bagels). I emailed customer service and the manager seven days ago and have yet to hear back. Bel-Air used to have the greatest customer service. Used to. The combined age of the two clerks I talked to was under 45. Kids these days don't care. When I work grocery in the 70s, we would've replaced a bagels free of charge. Some of my favorite things from Bel Air is the deli dept. with their salads and combo meals, the bakery and the sale they have on snacks. I came recently and the Triscuit brand was on sale for $2.49 when you buy 2 or more! That's a steal! The only downside at this location was the poor customer experience I encountered in the deli department when the person behind the counter was not helpful with ordering some items. But overall, this is one location I frequent. I'd continue to come here again and I always look for deals on the pastries and salads. Their lines even in the self-check out can just be a little longer than usual.

I also dropped off some balloons I bought on Amazon to have blown up and the guy working the Floral sections was super nice and helpful - he even called and asked a couple of follow-up questions which I thought was great customer service. It's always clean and well organized. Produce, meat and seafood sections are always well stocked and fresh. I like their deli section as well - they make great sandwiches to take for a quick lunch or even a picnic. Services is always friendly and helpful as well. We'll be back next time we are in the area! I purchased clearance food items that I later realized -- without even opening them -- were clearly not fresh and not safe to eat. This is especially serious to me because I have children, and I rely on stores to sell food that is safe for families. What makes this worse is that I was told in the store that these products were "safe" and that employees buy them themselves. When I returned to request a refund, one associate initially said it would be accepted. However, the same employee who originally reassured me suddenly refused, became visibly upset, and told me "it's the law" that they cannot take the items back. That statement is misleading -- stores cannot avoid responsibility for selling food that is not safe for consumption. On top of that, during the same visit I was overcharged for other items compared to the posted prices, which added to my frustration and concern about how this business operates. This was not just poor customer service -- it raises serious concerns about food safety and consumer rights. I strongly recommend that others carefully inspect any items before purchasing here and double-check prices at checkout.

The San Merican Tomatoes were on sale for only $2.49 a can (buy 4). That's $4 less per can than my normal grocery and $3.51 cheaper than a global delivery company. Of course I had to stock up on this NYT Wirecutter best tasting canned tomato. As usual, the store was tidy, displays easy to access and the cashier's so friendly. The producing is always fresh and looks great, but it goes downhill from there. Most the items are the same price as any other grocery store probably sometimes very more for what you get. The location also isn't in the best area, there is always unsavory people harassing customers.

Love the layout of this Trader Joe's!…read more As usual there were a lot of shoppers in Trader Joe's. But it did not feel crowded even though I visited on a popular shopping day and time. If I were at my Folsom, Trader Joe's, I would be shoulder to shoulder with shoppers :-). The store was well stocked. Except for cottage cheese. I have found Folsom Trader Joe's to routinely be out of cottage cheese also. It is the best tasting cottage cheese I have ever had. I guess a lot of people feel the same. Additionally, this area, like Folsom and surrounding nearby areas, is experiencing a large population explosion. And I am sure it is a challenge to keep shelves filled. When I checked out, I asked about the seemingly different layout of this particular TJ and the chronic cottage cheese shortage. The checker said that cottage cheese disappears so fast they're only allowed to put out one pallet a day. And he confirmed that the layout is different than most Trader Joe's because they have a very creative, awesome manager who is really good at those type of things! Like my TJs in Folsom... customer service is wonderful here. And parking sucks:).
