We are happy with the final product and our kitchen looks great. A few items to note: 1. Mike is an awesome designer and nice guy but we needed to chase multiple times to get our plans after our deposit was paid. Mike had to personally drive over to get plans to us for a meeting with our general contractor which added additional stress. Communication and follow up could be improved. 2. Get installation costs in writing in your contract to avoid the actual cost being over what was verbally communicated. We ultimately arrived in a good place but the back and forth on this added stress. Would recommend HK&B.

My husband and I are a firm believer in "you get what you pay for", so we decided to go with the higher end cabinet quote from the owner, Tom. He stated the cabinets come with a lifetime warranty free from any defects in material or workmanship. We paid for quality cabinets and a lifetime warranty, but this business owner fell short. Instead, we received many excuses, substandard work and lack of follow-up. From the early construction of the kitchen there were many issues, the kitchen dimensions were measured incorrectly, the kitchen island was 12 inches shorter than originally agreed upon( I was told a company error), and the cabinet doors were delivered with many defects in material and craftsmanship. I had to remind the owner that we paid for cabinets rollouts and that they needed to be installed. When the rollouts arrived, the owner sent over his "unskilled" worker to install them and they were installed incorrectly. My husband had to take them all out and fix them himself. A few months later our cabinet pantry door had some warping due to poor design. The pantry is situated over a heating element which blows hot air to heat the kitchen in the winter time. This pantry was never insulated, as it should have been, and heats up all the food in the cabinet in the winter months. I have to be careful as to what kind of food is put in the cabinet. I informed Tom of this issue and he stated he designs kitchens like this all the time and it's usually not an issue. Regardless I asked the owner if he could come and look at the door and possibly replace it. He came out and agreed to order a replacement for the pantry door. After almost 6 months later, many text messages and follow-up reminder emails the cabinet door was delivered. The owner again sent over his "unskilled" worker to replace the door. His worker installed the door but incorrectly measured the placement of the handle. The handle is noticeably malaligned when compared to the adjacent door. I asked the owner to replace the door, he agreed to reorder it and admitted to the mistake. One month later the door was delivered but it was the wrong size. The owner said it was the company's error and would reorder the door. Another 4 months have passed, and we still do not have the replacement or even a response as to when it would arrive. The owner has not responded to my emails, text messages or phone calls. To date it has been over a year and we still do not have the replacement pantry door. I would not recommend Tom from T & M Kitchens. We paid for quality cabinets with a lifetime warranty from what we thought was a reputable company but we were very disappointed.

I had…read morethe misfortune of selecting this company to do renovations in my condo that had experienced a devastating flood. Thinking there would be some economy of scale to the work, I had LA Design undertake a kitchen and master bath remodel with the remediation. The only thing this company does promptly is issue invoices. The work took 7 months to complete -- 4 more months than promised. The remediation and renovation work was terrible. Most of the kitchen cabinets were measured incorrectly and had to be re-ordered and re-installed. The brand new flooring throughout the 900 sq ft apartment was the first project completed and was, despite my repeated pleas to protect the flooring, significantly damaged with deep gouges, chips and paint splatter after being exposed to months of exposure to tools, appliances, trash and careless laborers. The living room was painted in 3 different shades of white as every day laborer and painter would just buy the white paint that was most convenient for them to pick up in the morning on their way to the job. The kitchen cabinets were never "finished" -- trim was left raw and unpainted. The plumbing work was performed with a degree of outstanding incompetence. All of the walls and ceilings that needed to be replaced due to the flood were installed with a staggering degree of sloppiness. The building maintenance team at Riva Pointe was staggered by the monumental incompetence of this company. Worst experience with a contractor -- EVER.

Larry Sr came over the same day as we called to assess and give us a quote. Not only was it reasonable, but was able to use our original timeline to get everything done. Not to mention it was all done faster than the original contractor told us too. The original team was 2 guys, told us it would take 15K over our budget and over 6+ weeks. LA came in just on budget and got everything done in 13 business days. The guys they have are incredibly attentive to detail and were willing to go back in and fix up anything that was slightly off too. We also had to pivot a few minor things because the original floor plan ended up not being ideal and Larry's guys made it all happen, listening to us, making sure we felt heard and were not stressed. We are absolutely in love with the final result. While construction is definitely always stressful, LA helped reduce that as much as possible and we can't wait to use them again soon.
