Thank GOD for for Wesleigh at Anubis. She was amazing and so helpful. My sister had Neptune Society…read moreoriginally pick up our auntie's body from the hospice center. After the pickup we were told that a representative would reach out to us the following day so we could start making arrangements. They didn't call till 3 days later even after leaving them multiple messages! Imagine not knowing what's happening to your loved one or where they are located after they died. Our assigned rep only called AFTER I switched to Anubis Cremations and had arrangements for the body to be brought to their facilities. Wesleigh was so easy to work with. She picked up my call right away and took care of everything. She communicated every step of the way. I told her that my uncle who is a priest will be arriving in 2 weeks and we would like for the cremation and memorial service to happen while he was here. She mentioned that it's a very tight schedule but she would try to make it happen. And she 100% delivered!!! Within an hour of my initial call she had my auntie's body arranged for pickup, she sent paperwork to us and the doctor so she could start the process of filing the death certificate. The church where we wanted the memorial service wouldn't let us reserve a time till they had a cremation date. We were able to get the cremation date within a few days. We opted for a private open viewing at the crematory in Van Nuys. The crematory only does night time viewing which worked well for us since our family is busy working during the day. Wesleigh's coworker Jonathan took great care of us at the viewing. The place had a room for up to 15 people where family members could sit with the casket prior to the cremation. They dressed our auntie in her formal barong and jewelry. We were allowed to provide flowers, letters, and mementoes in the cardboard casket. Jonathan gave us sharpies so we could write notes on the casket. There were aslo tissues and an easel for our use. Although the viewing was technically 15 minutes, we were not rushed and were given about 20-25 minutes to do a prayer service and say our goodbyes. And then Jonathan and another employee wheeled her into the crematory. We watched them place her casket in the "oven" and once the door closed we left. They even allowed us to live stream the entire time we were there to our auntie's relatives back in the Philippines. The following day Wesleigh delivered the ashes to the church and she provided the letters and instructions we needed to bring the ashes back to the Philippines. We were also very happy with the urn we ordered from Anubis. It was engraved and had a photo of our auntie. It was perfect. I can't thank Wesleigh and Jonathan enough for providing an outstanding service that was stress-free, efficient, compassionate, and super professional during this difficult time of grief. I whole-heartedly recommend Annubis.

My mother passed away two months ago, and navigating everything that comes with that loss felt overwhelming. From the very beginning, their team made the entire process feel straightforward and manageable. They were incredibly respectful, responsive, and handled every detail with care and dignity. One thing that really stood out to me was their pricing. Everything was clearly laid out upfront, all-inclusive, and exactly as quoted--no hidden fees, no surprise add-ons. After dealing with other companies where costs kept creeping up, this level of transparency was such a relief. It allowed us to focus on honoring my mom instead of worrying about unexpected expenses. There was no confusion, no added stress--just clear communication and genuine support when it mattered most. Throughout our grief, my family and I could barely think straight with my stepmom's unexpected passing. However, Rigo walked us through the entire process, making it as painless and straightforward as possible. We initially went to SF Mission Cemetery because my dad had purchased his and my stepmom's burial plot years ago, so it made sense to utilize their funeral home. After we met with one of the staff members, we decided to look elsewhere since they were not able to give us a burial date until a month later. I couldn't stand to see my family suffering by having to wait a month to put my stepmom to rest. That's when a friend of my brother referred us to Rigo. He was terrific from start to finish. They quoted us half the price that SF Mission was charging us, and they were able to bury her within less than a week of my contacting them! Rigo communicated with me throughout the entire process and helped my family, and I begin our healing process by expediting my stepmom's burial. They made a beautiful tribute video and provided an obituary site with all the pertinent details of the services. Rigo treated us with dignity, respect, and compassion. Their service is better than any other funeral home I have dealt with. Thank you, Rigo and team!

The best gift in life is a Mother, and life's greatest loss is the death of one's Mother…read more My sister and I were utterly devastated by our sudden and tragic loss last month, and Ms. Margaret Velez and Mr. Martin Guerrero were a source of gentle calm and support for us. Despite the fact that Dignity is owned by a massive, profit-oriented, multi-billion dollar corporation - the largest provider of funeral services in the U.S. - both these gracious and exemplary employees were empathetic and easy to work with during this devastatingly grief-stricken time. The distinguished Mr. Martin, who arranged the funeral, was a source of grace, class, and comfort for my sister and I, and he carried out our beloved Mother's service last week with knowledge, experience, and refinement. The viewing at the quaint and beautiful Chapel with colorful stained-glass windows was artistically-inspired with her large portrait and a grand display of flowers, and our dear Mother was immaculately dressed and groomed, and looked as if she were asleep. We had arranged for a dove release at the service, and he encouraged my sister and I to each hold then release a dove before releasing the entire flock. The benevolent and soft-spoken Ms. Margaret took the time to show us around the park for possible resting places for Mom, and her gentle disposition and kindness made this process a little less taxing. Our Father was interred here over a decade ago, which brought attention and interest from our relatives and friends to this memorial park; our uncle and aunt were then interred here as well. We're most grateful to Mr. Martin and Ms. Margaret for their compassion and professionalism during the most heartbreaking and tragic time of our lives.

I wasn't part of any of the planning whatsoever and just an attendee, so I am only speaking from my experience then. I was able to make it to my grandfather's cremation. Staff was polite and sympathetic enough. We had to use the restroom and facilities were clean. At the crematorium our grandfather was in a paper casket on the other side of the "window". We had a Buddhist ceremony before his cremation with some local temple monks facilitating it. They brought their own offerings and set up for the ceremony. There is a couch and some rugs in that lobby area, but not enough for our large family. Wish I knew this ahead of time, since a lot of us had to kneel and pray on the hard tile floor. As for my uncle's cremation, I missed that completely! I don't know if it was weird lost in translation thing that happened with the family members that planned it, but I had to initially take work off on a Thursday and then when the time came, was told that this facility couldn't get some kind of health department's signature so they couldn't do it. I'm assuming not for the entire facility itself since that would delay WAY too much but for maybe my uncle in general? And then it was last minute pushed to Monday and I had to miss it completely. Sucks, but again, I don't know if it was my family that had a hand in this or the business itself. I live near giga cemeteries and funeral homes like Rose Hills and I'm not from this area, so I can't gauge what better options there may be.
