The company then quoted me $2200 as the cost to replace it and reiterated that this did not include the $99 that they already charged me. So yes, had I gone with that company, it would have cost me $2300. Armed with this information, I posted pictures and exactly what the "diagnosis" said and asked for emailed quotes...to be clear I said EMAIL only. I then got no less than 10 phone calls saying "please give us a call so we can talk about your situation. Some called more than once. Lakeland Heating and Cooling (Jason) was nothing like that... $1270 flat rate to replace the water heater. Yes, thats how he replied in his email.. as I requested. He came in.. with the water heater... replaced it... and went on his way. Other companies, that followed directions, also came in higher than $2000. I am EXTREMELY satisfied with Jason and Lakeland! They replied back quickly, was at my house the next day. I have done business with A&Y plumbing for some time now. I have had several issues from leaking pipes, water heater replacement, to leaking toilets, most recently kitchen faucet leaking badly. Each and every time I contact Juan, they are really quick to respond. They do very high quality work and are very reasonable with their prices. Claims the burners would not work correctly whatever that means. Offered up a replacement furnace for $5K. Dad needs heat because after all he is 90. I set up an additional service provider as anyone would to get a competitive price and additional opinion. After their review they concluded that Polar's tech did a very poor job of cleaning and even worse job diagnosing the issue. It needed a thermostat...a G D thermostat and not a new furnace. Well the new company replaced the thermostat and all is well. Except for the epic miss for a seasoned veteran HVAC tech from Polar....one that should not occur. Makes me wonder if he was trying to take advantage of my 90 year old veteran father. That could never happen could it??? Seems odd though. This just reinforces my belief that there are very few service providers that can be trusted. Beware and stay clear of this hot mess of a company.

I can say without a doubt that this is the best. Scott and Eric are great to work with. They are extremely professional and what I appreciated the most is that I was notified about the plumber arriving just a little late. DO NOT HIRE, WE LITERALLY COULD'VE DIED! We hired people to remove and install a new water heater…read morein November 2023 and they scratched and dented up our floor very badly (see a few pics I attached which are worse in person than they look in the pics); which we only saw after the installer left. They are deep and very obvious/noticeable scratches that cannot be fixed without fixing the entire floor in the house, as it's all the same wood and style. I emailed them, called more than 3 times leaving a voicemail and messages with whomever answered the phone. I was told they would let the manager know, but I never received a response from anyone. At that point I figured it wasn't worth it. Then, fast forward to a few weeks, (now 2.5 years later), we find out we had a gas leak. The People's Gas repairmen came quickly and said they were shocked at how loosely the pipes for the water heater were put together! He showed me how he didn't even need a tool to take them apart! In two small twists the pipes were off! So apparently, for 2.5 years, we have had a gas leak and didn't know and are very lucky to be alive at this point. We have a child and have many family members and friends over! We are appalled! So, not only did this company permanently destroy our floor and act extremely unprofessional by totally ignoring us, but they almost killed us due to their negligence! Literally ANY company would be a better choice.
