Went tonight like every night and try buying a box of cilantro the lady at the register told me she can't sell the 60 count because she doesn't know at what time the truck will come tomorrow and she can't be with out cilantro on her shelf so she couldn't sell me the cilantro that I can come back tomorrow and take a box. Left and went to food for less got what I needed and won't be back tomorrow. read more

OH..... My God.....I left 1.5 hours ago and I'm still in shock. I've never seen anything like this. 4 homeless begging at the front of the store with no one around to chase them off. Awful smell outside and in. my older blond gal cashier may have been having a health event she was not telling anyone about. it took her 18 minutes (I timed it) to serve 2 customers in front of me. I've never experienced this. I honestly thought she was having a seizure or just was purposefully going as slow as possible as a way to cope with the 7 people in line behind me and 9 people in line at the only other cashier that was open. Another cashier was talking with 3 people the whole time I waited at a closed drawer next to us. The manager finally asked her to open and she announced that the almost 20 minutes she was with them was to ORDER A CAKE. Everyone acted like this whole charade was normal. I was in utter SHOCK. Then when I FINALLY got to the register.... the asparagus is purchased on sale for $2.99 was charged at $4.95. I said something but quickly said I would just pay to extra to avoid how long it would take the 'slow boat to China' serving me to figure the price difference out. I will Never, Ever go back to that hell hole. I'm so sad Smart and Final allows any store of theirs to be on such horrible shape. HORRENDOUS. read more

The young lady who rang me up this morning handed me a receipt without saying a word. A word like, "Thank you" or "Have a nice day". God, I hate it when cashiers hand me a receipt and say nothing. Anyhow, I purchased a 3 pack of loaf breads that had banana nut bread and blueberry in it. They were about 11 or 12 bucks for the package and they are GOD AWFUL. I can not eat them. I will try to give them away, but who would want them? They are just plain awful, so I recommend not getting anything from their bakery aisle. The store is quite cramped to walk around in, so I wanted to get what I came for and get out asap. Unfortunately, I wasted a lot of money and will need to make my own loaf breads if I want one fit to eat. How much money do I need to waste before I learn my lesson? read more

Used to be my favorite store now them going to digital coupons I'll go to Sams or costco as who has time to go on the website to download all the coupons and for older people like my mom who doesn't do computers or even text she is left out. Then when I called to ask about my over charges how I found out...the manager Lucille (or simalar) couldn't understand her hung up on me 2 times and I am a patient friendly person. Who does that if you work with public you must be nice and explain their issues. I will not be shopping there again. No longer a good store. Try to find simply lemonade there very seldom. If someone goes in the express lane, "10 items or less" and clearly doesn't have 10 items. This lady hade 2 shopping carts full. I understand it's not the cashiers fault, That the customer does not know how to read apparently.. But the cashiers should tell the customer they need to get in a different line. Because now us customers that have 2- 3 items are waiting 10 minutes Because this customer doesn't know how to follow directions like they teach him elementary school. Some people are just running in real quick for some milk for their child. The cashiers need to make these customers get out of line and go to the correct line. The store is clean, employees are friendly and the sales are great. I really liked this store a lot. This store has always had good deals, fresh meat and produce. None of that has changed. My gripes with this store is the same as Aldi's. They never stock enough for their sales. I drive two cities down when I get their ads for the great sales. When I get there it's all sold out. I would ask for a rain check and they would sometimes say that they can't give me a rain check because they have a truck coming in with sale items the next day. Really? I just drove two cities down and you want me to come back when you get restocked? I know if they sold out the first day many are coming back after it's all restocked and I'll just be taking the drive empty handed again. So I did a survey and it seems like them them lovely people in corporate agreed. So instead of stocking up for us they stopped sending us our ads. WEASELS! Lol I still shop there but only if I'm in the area. It's not worth going out of your way if you don't live close by. read more

I look around and see people wearing masks incorrectly and touching things with their dirty gloves. The clerk informs me that every store is like this- incorrect. Seriously y'all need to give your employees or at least certain ones more freaking training! Today I had a young white girl with glasses, wearing a gray sweater. I couldn't see your name tag because her gray sweater was covering it. She had blondish brownish hair pulled back in a ponytail very young looking.. she was helping a customer and couldn't scan an item took forever to just standing there not trying to find a solution like maybe go grab another of the same item or go on the speaker and get someone to bring her another item or look at the item number on another one.. instead, she calls over her supervisor or assistant supervisor and he tells her to go over the speaker to get someone to get her the number she says no for him to just go and do it.. because she didn't want to go over the speaker she even mumble that. So the assistant manager start walking over to get the item and she straight up says they always do this to me. Well he should run.... No girl you should've just listened to your boss and got over the speaker instead of making him walk all the way over there and walk all the way back because it took longer than if you would've just gone over this speaker... and word of advice from somebody that's been in customer service for a long time. Don't badmouth your supervisor to customers or in front of customers.. it's very unprofessional and just makes you look bad in our eyes especially when he didn't do anything wrong you're the one that didn't follow his directions and made him do your job. And then the customer that she was checking out when does all this incident happen? She had put an item in a bag full of raw meat, and the customer had to grab the item out and tell her she didn't want it in with raw meat... that should be common sense right there. I cannot stand how these cashiers bag raw meat with non-meat items it's disgusting and that's how you can get sick.. stop being lazy and bag your items how you would want them bags unless you don't care how your items are bagged and you don't care that raw meat is mixed in with produce, which is just downright disgusting! And one more thing I only had three items I should've been able to go to the express lane, but for some reason every time I come to your store cashiers don't tell customers that have way over 10 items that they cannot be an express lane. They still just let them be in that lane... so then us customers that come in real quick for two or three items were sitting there in the express lane having to wait because you're allowing people to come in that lane with way over what the sign says tell them to get out of your lane and go into a regular one it's posted right there. You have the right to tell them that I just I'm tired of rude and inconsiderate people and you guys not telling them to get out of your lane they would stop doing it if you guys would actually follow your own posted rule.! so yes, the young girl with glasses really need some training on how to bag, stop being lazy, stop talking crap about her supervisor when he walks away from her, and to do or dang job! I went to purchase plastic bags this morning Smart & Final price is $14.99 a Box or $11.19 if you purchase 6 or more. After I left the store I realized I was charged Full price $14.99 a box. I went back inside to tell them what happened. I was Only credited $1.80 a box it was suppose to be $3.80 a box I have to waste my time and gas and go back for my refund. now when I shop there I suggest you CHECK your receipt before you leave. read more

My mother came in here to use a check. She moved from riverside to Victorville she's also a senior citizen. Needless to say she doesn't do debit card. They would not take her check because it was not local. They pick and choose what checks they take. So if your a visitor coming to visit family please make sure you have cash when walking into this store or a debit card. read more

I love to shop here. The store always has what i need. The prices are very good and I like i can get bulk items as well. Their block cheese is always less than other stores. The store is smaller than traditional grocery stores but it has what you need not all the extra crap. The employees have always been friendly and their meats and produce are always fresh. read more

Was at this location on Monday and saw a product was covered by another. As the asst mgr when the product was coming in he said Wednesday. Came by and found the product I requested was covered by the same product again. I don't know what I would do without this store, If you own or manage a restaurant YOU WILL find yourself coming here a couple of times a month, take-out containers, massive bags of flour, sugar, salt. Even pizza boxes. All at about the same prices as our distributors. This is my go-to place if I run out of just about anything at the shop. I know restaurant owners that come here all the way from Barstow, now if we get a Restaurant Depot I would totally ditch this place but it doesn't look like that's ever gonna happen. read more

Bob, the Manager, seems indifferent. Maybe he has a lot on his mind or he's not getting enough sleep with that long commute to work every day. Eddie, the produce guy, is cool and is always friendly and helpful. Pat, the guy who runs the load crew, is always upbeat and informed. All in all, it's not too bad a place to shop. read more

Great revamp! Only gripe is with the cheese selection (or lack of). Has all of the standard types and sizes but lacks a decent selection of imports. How about some wheels/ wraps of Swiss, Blue, Gorgonzola, Limburger, Brie, Harvarti, Roquefort etc. Yeah it's the Hi-desert but Costco sells them all day long. read more
