Aldi is pretty cool. Don't forget a quarter for the cart! It's like a small warehouse, but with groceries. The place is pretty clean although the items are a bit scattered and the staff doesn't seem concerned with putting them back in the right place. This just means you need to dig a bit if you don't see what you're looking for. The produce is both fresh and not so fresh. You can choose for yourself which one to get but it's a little discouraging that they have some bad looking ones mixed in with the good ones. At checkout the staff is super friendly and polite, but trying to find help before checkout is a bit more difficult. I love the Aldi finds! They're limited items so if you like it, buy a lot. Because they aren't joking about limited, they'll be gone the next day if you wait. read more

I was at this Aldi in Hesperia in search for watermelon last year. Yes, I know this review is way past overdue. Better late than never LOL. Well, I didn't know we needed a quarter in order to rent a cart for use. Hence, I didn't bring a quarter. Instead of driving home to get a quarter, I ended up carrying the two watermelons in whatever box I found in the store. It was not easy, but I managed. I wasn't able to buy anything else because I had watermelons to handle LOL. Nevertheless, I did peruse the store to see what they sell before getting the watermelons at a very low price. They mainly carry non-well known brands similar to Trader Joe's. Prices were okay. Atmosphere was okay. After shopping, I was curious about Aldi and its origin. I found out that Aldi is somehow related to Trader Joe's... both owned by the same people. You'll have to read all about it on your own. Honestly, I have not been back to this store. I don't know if I ever will. I did not resonate with Aldi whatsoever. The quarter requirement to use a cart is already a turn off (j/k) LOL. I know I'm not here to date Aldi, but being a potentiel future customer of Aldi begins with first impression and its initial relationship. I'm sure they have their reason for the quarter requirement and I think I know why, but still... I wonder if they now have a change machine for those who have bills and no quarters... just a thought! Aldi comes in clutch! You can literally get meals for the whole week for like $80. I love budget shopping at Aldi. The lines can get a little crazy if you go at a peak time but it's definitely worth the wait when trying to save some money. read more

Super clean, perhaps a bit small but with a pretty good layout. They have a quarter based system for their shopping carts (a quarter to use the cart and you get it back when you put the cart back) making it a cart free parking lot. The prices are good, brand names that I've never seen before but willing to try out for the price. Millville brand seems to be a good choice. All cashier's at Aldi always give the impression that they HATE their job, never really greet the customers or say thank you. Their typical comment is "need a bag?" Some very good prices. We tried some white cheddar cheese it was real good and tried deli ham and deli provolone cheese also very good. We've only been to this Aldi twice prices are good especially on the cheese, eggs and milk but we almost didn't come back because of the checking out experience. Tried Aldi for the first time. I was Leary due to Covid. They don't make it easy. You have to have a quarter even during the coin shortage to get a basket. Insert the quarter, touch a gross strap to unhook your basket. Then I'm walking into the store and look down and there is baby poop all over the area of the basket where a child sits. I almost threw up and it still grosses me out when I get a basket anywhere now. Then the store only has mostly their brands and I get it because of covid we're out of a lot of things. Because if my experience I will never go back and wouldn't recommend this store to anyone. read more

The low reviews are from people who have never been to Aldi before nor now how it works. To get a cart, you have to insert a quarter this helps keep the carts out of the driveways and parking spaces and avoids having to pay someone to bring the carts in its also the reason for low prices in the store. The cashiers have to scan certain items per time and are paid by it. This makes the wait lines shorter and services fast. All the Aldis I have been the cashiers are quick but also thoughtful and careful when placing certain items in the cart. I love Aldi, I love how the carts are never in the parking area, and I gladly put them back to get my quarter back even with two toddlers. I love that the carts have spaces for both my kids. I love how the store is small, and I don't have to walk a lot to find what I beed. I love all the new Aldi Finds that are for the home. I love the double guarantee that the items have. If I don't like something, I can return it with no fuss and get my money back and or replacement. Cashier ADRIAN was RUDE and throws all your groceries in the cart. Like she's trying to bruise or ruin your produce on purpose. This isn't the first time I've had this encounter with her and she has done the same before. She has no customer service skills whatsoever. She over charged me for my broccoli. It had a bar code and she manually entered the price. She entered it wrong and I didn't notice until I was home. I first discovered this store in Fontana and I love it. In a grocery store, the most important thing to me is price. I love the prices and their brand has worked really well for me. I don't mind the $.25 for the carts/it gets windy and I personally have had my car dinged by a cart at another store. The cashiers have been organized and caring when putting my things in the cart. I am thrilled they can sit. This allows Aldi to accommodate employees with varied needs a job!!! If they're comfortable they will be happier because they are less inclined for back or foot problems. The store hasn't been busy when I have gone. Store is spotless especially the restrooms. Parking is abundant. Overall. Give it a shot, you may just like it as much as I do. read more

I went in with the curiosity of having this great new supermarket close by, and left disappointed. They should really give new customers a heads up. I went in with no pocket change just a debit card not knowing I had to pay for a cart. This place is amazing. The Aldi brand wine is cheap and delicious. They have an always changing selection of interesting beer too. Their prices are great and the often have great things like produce or home goods on special. The special aisle has a strange mix of things from spices to toys for kids. I love shopping at Aldi. The store is comfortable, clean, well stocked and wide enough for two carts. The management, staff and checkers are helpful and pleasant. The food is delicious and meats are the best in the high desert. Does it seem like I love this store, well I do. I can feed my family of (2) 21 meals and 14 snacks a week for under $100. I used to pay $250-300 a week shopping at other local markets, and I dreaded shopping and cooking. An added benefit, because we live in Spring Valley Lake and it's a little drive, we tie in a date and have breakfast or lunch out too. Interesting bargain supermarket! The goods vary week to week, but the sale prices brought me in. The weekly ad that comes to my mailbox definitely spreads the word about the savings to be had here. Be warned - come early if you see something you like. Things DO sell out. I was disappointed to see the 10 pound bag of potatoes for a dollar all gone... But it taught me an invaluable lesson about shopping here. The staff were friendly and they take all manners of credit cards, debit cards, and yes, even cash. I love the fact that this great little store is literally right down the street from me - very convenient. It's clean, small, no-frills, and extremely easy on the wallet. What's not to love? And, they have DUCK! It's hard to find duck anywhere. I also like their selection of cookies, they have the German speculoos cookies and the Canadian maple leaf (yum) cookies.
