This is my home away from home. I like coming in the morning right when they open because I feel like I can walk around without crowds.. and the aisles and shelves are fully stocked! Smart and Final's prices are competitive with the grocery stores, and this one isn't just a bulk store like it used to be. I can buy produce here cheaper than smaller stores like Henry's and there's a pretty good selection. The staff is really friendly as well and I love when they take the time to just chat with you. I shop at this Smart and Final a lot. They have a good selection and their prices are competitive. The only real problem here is that they always have a line. Unfortunately they lost a star today because of a bad experience. I asked to get $2 in quarters as cash back and the cashier refused. I understand that they sometimes don't have the change, but she said that they do not give change as cash back. I found this perplexing because I have gotten $2 in quarters back from them at least 6 times. This means that they either have a new policy that provides terrible customer service or the cashier straight up lied to me. Either way the situation is unacceptable. read more

I was in this smart and final for less than ten minutes and it was the most uncomfortable shopping experience. They had a song playing that was repeatedly saying, " the devil inside, the devil inside, every single one of us has the devil inside." That mixed with the horrible lay out an d high prices will guarantee that I don't return! read more

This Smart & Final is big and offers a lot of stuff. The meat in here is very fresh and has good quality. Cookies and dairy are good also.

The managers were very kind and helpful. I ordered food for 1,000. They helped make sure I ordered everything I needed and then helped get it all to my truck. read more

I am very upset and appalled by this store yesterday I went in to do my monthly shopping for our business with my co worker and the cashier Tony A was very rude to us asking us how we are gonna pay for our items before he even started scanning our items!! Like if we where indigent !! I come in this store once a month and spend a lot of money for the business and never in my life have I ever been treated this way I was so embarrassed and I'm going to take my business somewhere else they lost a good customer and I don't recommend anybody coming here especially to be treated that way the cashier really need to take some kind of customer service training and have better management they're very unprofessional to customers !! read more

Today is 12/22/2019 and I just left Smart and Final at 6:10 pm. While my girlfriend and I were waiting in line a female manager comes up to the female in front of us and says "One of my associates says you put something in your bag." the girl responds "Yes, I was just putting some of the stuff I got from the dollar tree in there." and shows her. After that, the manager just says "Oh, ok". No apology to the girl, she just walks off. I have never had a good experience at this store and this poor experience was the last. I live right next to this Smart and Final but from now on I will just have to find a new grocery store. read more

Nicely organized store, everythings usually stocked and in the right place, smaller than most smart and finals, but it still has the same affordable prices as all the other ones, but since it's smaller they don't carry all the brands of everything.... read more

This store always has crowded lines mabe because the only have on cash register open at the most 2 and to get one item usally takes like 20 min the only time they open a 3rd cash register is when the line is wrapping around into isle 5 or 6 they had no karts when i got to the front of the store no baskets either had to carry my items in my hands and had to skip on the water and workers that are in the front talk to each other more than they talk to customers .customer service sucks in other words they need some help up there on how to run a store read more

To truly appreciate this Smart & Final, you had to have been a customer of the old Smart and Final in the location next door. The store itself was dingy, and poorly lit. When you finally were able track down someone to help you, a feeling of relief would wash over you just because you had found another human being, sort of like in those zombie movies. Fast forward to present day where the new Smart & Final Extra caters to both the business and home customer. You can find your boxes of candy bars as well as massive packages of styrofoam clamshells. But they also carry a lot more items that are in normal convenience sizes - I don't have to buy an entire gallon of mustard that will last me through the Apocalypse. The store is brightly lit and produce has been fresh every time I have been there. There are even more people around to help you. The only peeve that I have is that there is almost always a shortage of cashiers and they don't come unless the line starts to get 5-6 deep, or the one cashier starts to pee from stress, whichever comes first. Another item to note is that the new Smart & Finals no longer sell the industrial use food prep appliances like hot dog wiener rollers, churro warming cabinets, nacho cheese dispensers, etc. read more

Store is ok. employees are nice and helpful...BUT I have been there to purchase the bag of frozen party wings on two separate occasions and they were freezer burned both times! I informed an employee because the manager was on lunch. I sure hope they get that taken care of! who wants to purchase freezer burned meat?! I ended up going to the Yorba Linda location which was very nice and alot cleaner. that store has a much more pleasant shopping experience. I will be going there from now on. read more

Very diverse, clean store with extremely friendly, cheerful cashiers and a reasonable store owner. Prices are good and can get quite low with its weekly rotating discounts. The cashiers know me as a regular here! read more

Careful shopping is the key here: There are some good deals on items like feta cheese, bagged fruit, specials on frozen dinners, and kerig cup coffee. The lines are frequently long and some of the clueless customers bring 30 items to the 10 item line. Still worth going to. read more

I like this store. Great prices. The cashiers can be really slow at times, but the manager is so nice so he makes up for that.

This place is missing the boat, BIG TIME! It's really the only convenient grocery store for quite a large area of east Fullerton and they suck!! The selection is spotty, small, and unreliable. But the biggest glaring problem is the management and staff. They're never ever nice. It's almost like they have a D list crew all the time. Even my own kids have commented on the rudeness of the staff. We have basically stopped going here, and will even resort to a 7-11 for things like coffee- just to avoid the long long lines, and rudeness (that's desperate). If you buy in bulk, like we do for our store, they have one large cart. One. And it's almost always used. For large amounts of items we go to Costco now because at least we know we can find a cart and be treated kindly on our way out the door. Someone really needs to look into this store. With it being one of the very few in the area it could be a goldmine. But it's reputation is going downhill fast. read more

This place is an asset when you need larger quantity of items. The cost for the produce although pricey the quality is great. I only shop here for the prices and walking distance. I guess for cheap prices I should expect to be treated like crap!? Went in around 9:30, they close at 10. Only one line open? Okay I get it, I'm fine to wait. Some guy came to open up a new line and instead of coming to get the next person in line, everyone behind us (who came into the store while we were in line) ran into the line and left the store before we got through checkout. I had one item of ice cream. The ice cream was MELTED by the time we checked out! I told him he should have gotten the next person in line and he responded with "oh, okay." No apology and I swear it didn't get through to him. I give my best service when I work, I expect the same when I spend my money in an establishment. read more

I am a regular at this store. The prices are competitive with 99 cent and other such stores. The staff are friendly. Jasmine has been very kind to me assisting me. They have most of the provisions I require plus they opened up a new section with nuts, grains. I don't know how other grocery chains are handling the recession, but Smart and Final is taking full advantage of their employees. My husband works at this location. He has been with the company for seven years and has been called "invaluable" by his mangers, but they keep hiring new managers from outside instead of promoting him. They have him and the crew he supervises working the minimum they can get away with- about three nights a week. They call him in to to work at midnight the nights of holidays so they don't have to pay him. Working the night shift every other night has wreaked havoc on his physical and emotional health. He gets blamed for not finishing the load because he had to take his breaks. The management is abusive and morale is terrible. They know that the job market is difficult right now especially for people with families that can't afford to take entry-level pay at a new job. If you value good business practices for the working class, do like my family and boycott this store, if not this chain. read more

We were checked out by Tony, an older mexican man (I believe this is his name), and he said we were his last customers and then placed the check stand closed sign after our items. There were people behind us who maybe couldn't read or didn't care but he was INCREDIBLY rude. He threw the sign a few people down after saying "you people can't read that there's a sign here" under his breath. We ALWAYS get our bill split and after he rang up all of our items, he says that would of had to be done before we even started ringing up anything...I have been coming to this Smart & Final for 3 years, and this was never a problem before. I believe he just did not want to take the time to half the bill. This man needs to find it in his heart to be a better worker, or just quit because customers don't deserve to be treated like trash because a worker hates their job. Really made me question whether or not I should ever come back here, I'm not spending my hard earned money on slightly overpriced food to be treated like crap. read more

Wow these people could not get it together! I had a bottle of soda and a box of cupcakes and the three lanes that were open were ALL having issues. The manager was yelling at an employee to hurry up and help a cashier and the "Express Lane" had such a long wait that I gave up and walked out. read more

There was a big changes on this store after renovation more than a month ago. It was absolutely gorgeous inside. Aisle spacing, cleanliness, lighting, items choices are competitive as well as meat section. Quality meat ever. Never have problem with staff at all.
