We found what we needed, checked out fairly quickly, and parking was plentiful. Felt safe. No hassles. I ordered some hot fried chicken from the deli, easy process. The chicken was hot and had an exterior like Pop$3&'s chicken vs KFC. Crisp n crunchy, seasoned exterior. Tender, juicy meat. Yum. The grocery store interior was a bit outdated but clean and organized. The cashier was an older woman and spoke to us with genuine engagement. Stand out personality. Good ole fashion grocery store customer service.

It seems the store manager and assistant manager do not care about people and are not kind. I used to shop there regularly, but I will no longer support this store. I will recommend that my friends and others shop elsewhere. Also, the produce quality has been poor. Several times I bought fruits and vegetables that spoiled within two days and had to throw them away. I hope the company takes customer concerns seriously and improves both the quality of the products and the way people are treated.

You get a beautiful, clean, very well organized store with fresh and local( love that) organic produce and products. A really nice variety of healthy snacks, protein bars and juices. The premade sandwiches are extraordinary- we had the Veggie and the balance and the taste was phenomenal- no extra mustard or mayonnaise needed. The vegan salad with fried tofu and this divine( I forgot the name) and deadly dressing was fantastic. The quality of the ginger and the lemons bursting with juice was top notch. The manager Robin was stellar. She showed us the sandwich section , the juices; put everything in a nice box for us to go enjoy outside in their patio in the 74 degree sunshine as happy faces and healthy folks walked by. Disappointed at how their hot food has declined in value over the years. Came in today for tacos de…read moretripa, asada, and barbacoa. All tacos were surprisingly bland? Why? Wondering if they've stopped seasoning their meat in order to cater to the demographic here in Atascadero.... Especially the carne asada I mean apart from having so much fatty meat, it had no flavor. The service is always great too, just a little disappointing. When I'm talking about flavor, especially for $4 a taco, I expect a hint of garlic, salt, pepper, lime, etc. I expect the meat to be marinated and flavorful. Maybe they already do that, given they do sell amazing carne preparada, but the hot food just hasn't been the same for the last 3-4 times I've gone. I like supporting local mexican businesses so I continue to go but today might've been my last. I don't think I'll be driving from Slo to Suprema Meat Market for their hot food again. The cold and prepared meats are of high quality though so this review is strictly for the hot food. I understand that they need to stay competitive with the market, but the total for 5 bite sized tacos was $22.... That's insane. For $4 a taco, I just expect more. I hope they review this and implement some change! I see that the owner reached out and I appreciate his response. Maybe I'll give it a try again.

Brooke even tried to deny that Elliot has made rude comments like that to customers in the past even though Brian the manager himself stated that Elliot has a history of it. Elliot has worked there for years and this isn't the first time he's made rude comments. What normal person who is OK in the head jokes like that with loyal customers? Is he mental? Yes obviously. Is Brooke useless? Yes obviously. Brooke, you clearly don't care about your customers and are you're running an unprofessional establishment with employees like Elliot.
