On a whim, I tried the other Smalls in Ocala. My last experience at the one further South on Rt 200 wasn't that great, but I thought perhaps it was just the location, and not the general setup of the chain. I was sadly mistaken, and the problems stem from how the chain is setup, and not from a single location having issues. The burgers are alright, but too expensive for how much you get. The fries are alright as well, but all of it seems to be your typical corporate food distribution to the masses, and the food just isn't that good. Two stars for this one as well... not because the folks working there are bad, or even because the place itself is bad place to eat... they are not. It is just that the food is just not very good, and from what I have experienced no matter what the employees do the food is still going to be mediocre. read more

I drove by this interesting looking restaurant a few times before my curiosity got the best of me and I decided to stop. As far as I could tell, it was drive-thru only. So I pulled up and ordered the Combo 2, which was two cheeseburger sliders, their signature seasoned waffle fries, and a medium drink. The sliders had perfectly toasted buns and melted cheese. Small and interesting would be the best way to slide into this as that's exactly what our experience was. Coming here was a random stumbling across it by hey sometimes that makes for the best way and let's just say that it makes sense that way. So we ordered the 4 slider pack meal with bacon on the burgers and let's just say that adding this to it gave it the edge that it needed to be yummy as the burgers were cooked perfectly the bacon was yummy and the cheese and pickles added the zest to make it all that more yummy but when we dunked it into the queso and added some of their sauce to it it sent the burger goodness into a whole spin of flavor as each of us then just totally liked what we had gotten. The queso was standard as it comes with a bit of pepper flakes in it not hot but just perfect for the added zest to whatever we dipped in it. Their cris cut fries were the seasoned ones that were similar to the ones I've gotten elsewhere but still super yummy we asked for them tier special way but we were informed that they don't do it anymore and that's how the cheese and sauce on the side came about which in my opinion was better because then we just put it on everything! Overall it's a drive-thru you can't go wrong the staff was nice the food was yummy and it was burger goodness so if your in the area looking for something quick and small you found the right place by saying small I'm referring to the burgers which were a good size for being called a slider! read more

Based on the reviews, I was a bit a skeptical however I was so intrigued by this place knowing that it was one of Drew Brees' investments - and I had a pretty good experience at Walk On's, another one of his investments. So this place is a little tricky to get into depending the direction you are coming from, but anytime I'm in Ocala - there's always a line. Also you can't miss Smalls as the building is bright orange and as it's the Christmas season, it was decorated in Christmas decor and lights. I decided to go to the walk up window and browsed over the menu quickly. I ordered one slider, an order of waffle fries, and a side of their sauce for my fries. It took about 5 -7 minutes for my food and they call your name over an intercom and then come out to hand it to you. The one slider is actually larger than I expected. I was expecting it to be the size of White Castle. However, it was not dry at all. It was pretty flavorful and moist and thick patty. The slider had cheese, pickle, and some of the signature and everything paired very well and very fresh as it just came off the grill. I do wish I could've added some caramelized onions to balance the melty cheese and creamy sauce. The sauce kinda reminds me of a chipotle tartar sauce as it was that dill and herb consistency. I don't like that they charge you for it but a lot of burger places are doing that now. did enjoy it as my dipping sauce with the fries. My fries were fresh and pretty crispy, I couldn't eat all of them with the slider. I look forward to stopping by Smalls whenever I'm craving a burger or something that's an easy handheld meal. read more

First time trying these after stumbling upon them on Instagram and was not disappointed. The sliders are great. I am not the biggest burger fan but these were really good. It's simple, burger, cheese, pickle and their house sauce in a bun. I got the sauce on the side which was perfect for me to dip my burger in. The container is oval which makes for easy dipping. Subtle genius there. The waffle fries were delicious. Again, I don't seek out waffle fries but these I would! The queso is bomb. Dip that thing in the cheese and you are set. Was driving by, on the way to the mall, and saw this place. Once finished in the mall we decided to come back by. I love a slider, so it seemed like a perfect place to stop. I got the three sliders, with fries, and my mom got the two sliders and fries. The menu is basically just burgers and fries, like back in the day. They don't have a kids menu and I couldn't upgrade one of my burgers, although the menu makes it seem as if you can. There's no inside, so you sit outside. The food didn't take long at all. The total was almost $30, but get this! They placed a coupon for a free car wash, at the car wash across the street, and that was worth $30! So, after we ate we got the car washed. The burgers (sliders) were fantastic and I loved the waffle fries. I added a little mayo on my fries. The sliders come with cheese and a pickle. If you like mustard and/or ketchup, you need to ask for it. Sliders were juicy and tasty. The weather was perfect so sitting outside was fine, but when it's hot weather in Florida and you ride a motorcycle, you want to sit in air conditioning. No inside seating here. There are a lot of negative reviews on here already. These people need just smile once in a while. Also as I have said in the past, only strongly consider reviews from ELITE Yelpers. First time today!!! I'll definitely go back again. I am not a fast food guy much anymore but had to try the new place in town. I ate my burger so fast I forgot to take a picture. Menu is simple and to the point. This is a small burger, not a smash burger and not really a slider, in my opinion. Perfect size if you aren't trying to eat a million calories. Service was very friendly and efficient. Drive thru line moved fast and order was correct. Fries are awesome. They are a cross between old school Checkers and a Chickfila Waffle. I just don't understand how the drive through takes so long when the menu basically consists of three items - sliders, waffle fries, and shakes. That's it. Those are your choices! Biting into the slider was pretty disappointing as well, no flavor, no seasoning, and if there was seasoning, it wasn't enough to overpower the taste of the grease soaked bun. Sliders are simple but delightful, toasted bun, perfectly cooked meat, great pickle and sauce topping with a pickle in there. Perfection. Went to the drive through. Thursday 6pm no one in line. She took out order. Very friendly. Order 1 meal 4 sliders with sauce on the side pulled up and paid and got our drink. Wife and I are sharing the meal. After 8 mins of sitting at the window there is now a line of cars behind us. Can't see the single order window on the other side. Finally get our food. And the food was great. Service needs lots of work. They only make sliders and fries. It should not take that long. When we left 4 people were waiting at the window just to order. Seating is outside only. If they could get organized and learn how to prioritize the orders it would be better. read more

Drive up employee was rude and didn't offer any catsup, handed us cokes that were overfilled and spilled in the car while they were being handed to and then it was a mission to get extra napkins. As for the food, burgers were dry and over cooked. These kind of issues are more common at 2 pm because it's not lunch and not dinner and chances are there's a lapse in supervision. That means a restaurant that is located in Florida has outdoor seating for Floridians who live in a state that has high temperatures and humidity half the year. So drive thru and eat in your car. That said, don't bother. The food is meh. The food is bland and tasteless. They have waffle fries that have seasoning but my taste buds couldn't find the flavor. The burgers were hot. It's easy to hype up the new place which has been marketed very well, the food was tasty, but not amazing by any means. I won't comment about how long I waited in line since it's opening day, because that was pretty much expected. I got a few things on the menu, fries, queso, the special sauce, regular sliders and a double biggie smalls with bacon. It's a very simplistic menu, so there's not a lot of choices. I felt that the slider with bacon on it was a lot better than without. The meat is a little bit too lean and doesn't seem to be seasoned, but the bread is certainly good. Missing was a classic slider ingredient: dehydrated onions. It included a pickle and the special sauce. There was very little of the sauce on my sliders so I didn't notice it much. I dunked a slider in the sauce and it meshed pretty well. The fries were very enjoyable , crispy, seasoned and with good flavor. I dipped them in the queso sauce and it was a nice touch. Back to the sliders: they're much bigger than White Castle's, and I felt like the biggie smalls(double) was a bit too heavy. I'd go for 2 singles with bacon next time. Ugh where to start. Ordered from the app for pick up ASAP. I was given a 11:35am pick up. As it was my first visit I had trouble locating an online order pickup. Because they don't apparently have one. All cones led to their two "slide throughs with looong lines. There is a small parking area before the lines start but the one way arrows indicate that the only exit was through the "slidethrough". So finding myself trapped I figured the handy dandy employee manning the "slidethrough" would retrieve my order. NOPE! Not allowed. I had to work my way through the "slidethrough", exit the parking lot, park in the neighbor's lot, stand in another loooong line (only order window in the "can", to receive my meal late. To say the least it was cold, greasy fries, and a "free" $1.49 2 oz Queso. Who would pay the equivalent of $11.92 for a 16 oz cold Queso!! read more
