So my friends and I tried this thing they have called cupcakes after dark. It is pricey tbh, but it comes with unlimited wine (at least I had a few glasses lmao) and cheese crackers and meats. Small plate nothing special. They also had a DJ playing cool music I'd dance to in a club. The class was fun I would do it again! The cake was good! But what is even better is their ice cream. Best fucking ice cream and waffle cones I tasted. Also, their cupcakes are moist but only the ones that aren't the chocolate ones lol. Those have a weird flavor I was not a fan. Every other cupcake base was delicious tho! Service was very nice! I dropped some cupcakes accidentally and they gave me a whole bunch more for free read more

First time here and it was such a comfortable establishment. I went in because I saw this spot on TT and knew I had to stop in... I went in for the banana Pudding ice cream and left with so much more. I left with a tiramisu brownie ( first thing my eyes saw in the case), a red velvet cookies n cream cookie, a biscoff cookie, a Dubai chocolate cupcake, a coconut cupcake ( I will always get a coconut cupcake) and a pint of 24 Karrot Ice Cream. Can you see my sweet teeth showing lol. They do flavors of the Month by the week and I may need to stop in everyday to try them all. Smallcakes definitely has my business going forward. read more

This bakery and creamery has been local to me for 8 years, and I never realized it until a friend recommended them to me. I was happily surprised to find out it is black owned and woman owned! I placed a custom cake order here for my daughter's second birthday, the price was fair and they were happy to accommodate! I decided to swing by the bakery to get cupcakes a few days prior to the birthday party, and was pleasantly surprised but the super cute decor. And the cupcakes were delicious Picking up our custom cake was a breeze, the cake was super cute. Tina walked it to my car, placed it on the floor of my vehicle, and gave me simple instructions. I live about a 2 miles from the shop and the drive only consists of 3 turns. I drove very carefully the whole way home, so I was disappointed to see that the cake had cracked by the time I reached home. However we didn't let that put a damper on things. We kept the cake refrigerated until about 30 minutes before we served it. When we began to cut into the cake, the frosting to cake ratio was seemed to be a bit off, and there was a very abundant about of frosting, however that could just be a personal preference thing. We received a ton of compliments on the cake, crack and all. And most importantly that cake was delicious. Overall, we had a positive experience with small cakes and were happy to support a local minority and woman owned business, and we'll definitely continue supporting in the future. read more

Ordered a custom cake for 3rd birthday and it came out exactly as requested! The cake was yummy - moist and delicious and the frosting was just the right amount of sweetness. I purchased a strawberry shortcake for a birthday party and it was absolutely amazing! The cake was also larger than I expected.

Who knew cupcakes could be so good. I came here on the recommendation from a coworker to pick up surprise birthday cupcakes for another coworker. I never even knew this place existed. I had to preorder what I wanted, which included leaving a deposit over the phone. When I got there on the day I chose, everything looked great and was ready. I even grabbed something else on the display that looked real delicious. Prices are a little high, but you will taste the difference. If I wasn't trying to be disciplined, I'd order here weekly and stuff my face w/ delicious cupcakes. Quality is great here. The employee behind the counter was very friendly. Parking is street - sometimes you have to wait for a spot to open up. All in all a great idea. Never really gave cupcakes a second thought before because I always just looked at regular cakes, but once you have some of these, you won't look at cupcakes the same way again. Yes, I will be back and my taste buds will be looking forward to it. read more

Fresh baked cupcakes AND fresh made ice cream?! Yes please! It's a tiny shop on a Main Street but don't be fooled, there's a parking lot in the back that makes it a total breeze to come in for the cupcake smash. Cookies and cream ice cream is delicious; super soft and filled with Oreo goodness. Toddler devoured her chocolate chip ice cream with sprinkles and husband wolfed down the cupcake smash. Definitely on my favorites list when we're in the area! read more

Cupcakes here are so great! Not too sweet and very creative flavors. One time they had a maple bacon cupcake. 6 cupcakes for $22 isn't bad. One thing I did not like was that I asked for a second box because I knew I'd have extra and wanted people to take them home. I was told if I got another box I would have to pay a different price for the cupcakes. That seems really weird to me but otherwise the sweets are great. read more

It's a beautiful place on a very nondescript block. It's nice to have cupcakes and ice cream in one shop. The downside is the selection is small, it's very pricey n the cupcakes r huge, I'd rather a smaller one for my daughter it's a sugar overload at this size. But beautifully done, very detailed and precise, upscale take on baked goods for sure. designer cupcakes:) Tip: they make beautiful custom cakes read more

Passed by smallcakes after walking around with my cousin. Place looks very inviting so we decided to give it a look on the inside. Of course, 10 min later we end up devouring 3 cupcakes each . The cupcake itself has a unique texture and lovely flavor to the palate that we had to try more. read more

This place has one of the best if not the best cupcakes I have ever had! The lemon drop cupcake is amazing! Reason why I think the cakes at the spot is so great is because they deliver a balance of sweetness without tasting dry. The frosting is creamy but not to sweet just delicious. The service is aways good and the shop is always clean so that is enough for me to give this place a 5/5. read more

I was looking for a nice local shop to get cupcakes for my birthday, and this place was perfect. The shop itself is super cute, the cupcakes were so pretty and once home and enjoyed- so delicious! I ordered cupcakes and "pupcakes" (for doggies) as a gift to be delivered to a friend's home. The cupcakes, I was told, were beautiful and delicious and they loved the pupcakes too!!! My only note to Smallcakes is to try and find a better way to communicate the fact that a gift was being sent. Deliveries are made through Grubhub and I put a gift message in the "Delivery instructions" box on the order I placed on Yelp - however, that message was never communicated to the recipient and she didn't know who the cupcakes were from. Your cupcakes are fabulous and more people may send them to others as gifts - so it would be great to ensure that a gift message can be delivered along with the cupcakes. I can't wait to try one myself!!!! read more

I gave in real bad. It was either go home on a rainy day and bake a boxed cake or just go all out. The Central Avenue strip in Scarsdale made way for Smallcakes, the first ever cupcake sensation up in these neck of the woods. It took me a bit to finally venture in and knew with that first step, there will be more damage after that. For the most part, cupcakes here are either Yellow or Chocolate-Cake Based (with the exception of the '24 Karrot' cupcake...I think). I settled for a Cannoli cupcake and a Chocolate w/Chocolate Shavings- to take with me. There's also a decent selection of basic and unique ice cream flavors to choose from to have as is or mix into their shakes- as I happily did. Essentially, Smallcakes has an extremely fresh arsenal. My selection wasn't horrible and know their products aren't either. I felt that the cupcake itself, was just too floury in taste-for me. And while they're entirely moist, I may have gotten spoiled by my favorite, Molly's Cupcakes' overall flavor. Would I come back? Absolutely! Smallcakes is an excellent addition to Scarsdale and these goodies, would be an excellent choice to bring to work or get-togethers. I've prevailed. read more

Me and my wife were looking for a bakeshop that sells cupcakes and we stumble to this place. The name itself is catchy and we like the branding itself. Upon entering the store we instantly liked the feel and look of it. There is a halloween display by the entrance and we were greeted by this very energetic and accommodating guy named Anthony. He explained to us each cupcakes and which one has no peanuts. We ordered 30 cupcakes, 24 of which we will bring to my daughter's school for her post-birthday celebration and the rest to be devour at home. Anthony offered us an ice cream but we declined not because we didnt like the flavors but more because of the cold weather outside. Upon payment of the yummy smallcakes we chatted with Anthony and found out that he is the co-owner of smallcakes. It is always cool to chat with business owners who possess that positive attitude. Upon reaching home we tried the cupcakes and oh wow! we like the taste and the moistness of the smallcakes. Its not overbaked nor too moist. I highly recommend this place and will definitely drop by again. read more

I've ordered Grubhub delivery twice: the cupcakes are wonderfully light, moist and flavorful. The Lemon Drop was disappointing (very faint lemon flavored vanilla frosting). The best by far is the Chocolate Cream cupcake; I also enjoyed the Red Velvet. My dog wolfed down the (tiny) Pupcake. read more

I saw Smallcakes floating around my Yelp feed a while back and bookmarked it to try. Last night I was having dinner with a colleague in Hartsdale and she started talking about how good their cupcakes are - that was enough for me to break my pre-holiday diet and have a little something for dessert. Unbeknownst to me before going, Smallcakes is a chain. I'm surprised cupcake bakeries are still a thing these days because for the most part doughnuts have taken over as the hot/trending baked good - but, I digress. Walking inside the space is pretty large with everything being very neat and organized. The display counter sits to the left and back while there are a few tables to enjoy your sweets on the right. While they have a selection of ice cream on their menu as well as a few homemade concoctions, cupcakes are obviously the star of Smallcakes. Looking through the display case they have a large selection - I chose the strawberry cream to have for myself and picked out another half-dozen to bring home. The cupcake had a vanilla cake base topped with white frosting and cream with sliced strawberries and drizzled strawberry sauce. The cake itself was good, it had a nice texture and good taste. I'm not the biggest fan of buttercream but I actually didn't mind this one too much, overall the flavors worked well together. In reality I would give Smallcakes 3.5 stars - the cupcakes are tasty but I've had better (Sprinkles probably makes the best cupcakes I've had). However, I applaud them for their creativity and customer service - if I'm in the area again I wouldn't be against returning to explore their menu more. read more

We love the cupcakes from here! They have a variety of flavors, the cake is moist, and the icing is always a good balance and not too sweet. #1 Best Cakes and Cupcakes. We order every single birthday and special occasion cake from SmallCakes. Tina and her team are the most creative, brilliant artists who do extraordinary designs. My 17 year old always asks we buy one of her cakes just to eat throughout the week. I just left this place and got the crabbiest counter person. I come here a lot and have never been treated that way. Watch out what you get charged for. This chic charged me for a BOX! Wtf am I supposed to carry my cupcakes in? My hands? When I asked for a bag for my 2 boxes of cupcakes she said they don't give bags (I've gotten them there before plenty of times). When I asked her about the bags hanging behind her at the register she rolled her eyes and gave me one. This person needs to find a new line of work. She's miserable. And if these are the people Small Cakes is hiring, they'll be out of business in a flash. Also, she wouldn't let me buy a 6pk and separate 2 in another box. If you're charging me for a box anyway, what's the problem?? Bad business! PS. Their receipts don't tell you how much you're being charged either. read more

I've been coming here for just about a year and it is my go to dessert spot. I personally have an obsession with cupcakes, however I brought my husband here because they have a variety of flavors. The cupcakes are always fresh, moist, and full of flavor. Plus - they have specialty flavors that change each month, in addition to their daily selection. I've never had a cupcake that I didn't like, even flavors that I'm not a fan of were pretty good. They also have homemade ice cream with special flavors for the month. The manager Tina, is always a delight, as is the rest of the staff. Definitely recommend trying their cupcakes and maybe even their ice cream as a treat. Just don't be like me and buy a dozen cupcakes and forget you have still have to eat real food. Lol Oh and they're black owned! read more

December 21, 2019 I'm an avid cupcake lover and I'm always on the hunt for a good cupcake to satisfy my sweet tooth. I'm happy to say the Scarsdale location of Smallcakes did just that and more! The cupcakes at Smallcakes are larger than your average cupcake but just enough to either enjoy on your own or share with someone else. When I entered Smallcakes I noticed the cute sayings on the wall, the bright colors and the selection of ice cream and cupcakes. It took some time to decide which cupcakes to pick as they all looked yummy but I settled on the Dulce de Leche Churro cupcake and the Lemon Amaretto cupcake. The dulce de leche churro cupcake had a small churro on top filled with dulce de leche and a drizzle of caramel and the lemon amaretto cupcake is an almond flavored cupcake with a lemon filling on top with slivered almonds. Both cupcakes were very moist and the flavors were amazing!!! After sharing both cupcakes with my son and brother, I was upset with myself for not purchasing more! Regardless, I look forward to visiting Smallcakes in the future to try some of there other yummy options! read more

Now I'm not a big sweets person but last night I did UberEATS and the color of this store drew me back. The two ladies who work here are so sweet like the store.
