Came for a birthday party. Very cute establishment. Lots pretend play sections. A Slide with small ball pit. A section for younger toddlers. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are kid-friendly.

Very cute cafe, my 2.5 year old had a blast! I found the open play pricing to be appropriate for 2 hours of fun. I enjoyed a delicious southwest chicken wrap and latte, while my daughter picked on a few snacks they had available for purchase. The facility was clean, a bit on the smaller side. Our visit was 12-2 on a Thursday (some schools on spring break). The first hour was VERY busy, the second hour was slower & more relaxing for the parents. It seems that they allow 20 spots for each 15-minute time interval. Considering that all children require 1 parent, most children had 2 parents, and there are some babies that aren't included as one of the 20 spots, the place can feel very crowded. I do wish the maximum capacity was lower, but I will just keep this in mind when planning my next visit and shoot for later in the day. Overall, my toddler and I both enjoyed our time!

Annette and Francesco feel that schiacchiata is a perfect example of foods that connects Italian foods and it's culture. Schiacchiata means smashed or flat and is a very old peasant bread from before the Middle Ages. Soft on the inside crisp outside with extra virgin olive oil and sea salt sprinkled on top with no set recipe each baker has their own. They serve amazing coffees, sweets, sandwiches, soups, sandwiches can be with meat, vegetarian, vegan, there is burrata salad, vegan salad and more, vegan Cipillollina sandwich and so much more, Buonamici vegetarian sandwich and many more, Prosciutto cotto and fontina cheese sandwich and many more cured meat sandwiches. Sweets such as Crostatina al pistachio, bombolini and so much more. The menu is unique and wonderful. The restaurant I describe as chic, relaxed, upscale casual and worth your attention. There is street parking…read moreand a few parking lots in the area so we just parked at one, wanted about, and also made a stop here. As a nod to the name (Kirshenbaum is German for cherry tree), there are little cherries everywhere inside from signs to wallpaper. Ample seats, natural light, friendly staff, plus delectable treats make this place a good one to stop at. They also serve light bites but as we were sort of hopping from one place to another on a Sunday, I only ordered a few sweet treats. BLACK FOREST: my daughter picked this, likely because she thought it was a chocolate cake. But it was not your average chocolate cake. A good sized slice with moist cake, cherries, and dark chocolate bits throughout, I highly enjoyed this one. It's perfectly sweet - though I admit my daughter finished the exterior layer of frosting so the thin layered in between the cake were ideal for my taste buds. It was a bit too elevated for my daughter who only really wanted your regular chocolate cake. MATCHA CRUFFIN: This is a croissant-muffin filled with matcha cream, rolled in sugar. The laminated dough was packed so not like your airy-but-crispy-exterior croissant, nor was it noticeable buttery, but it did do its job by keeping its shape and the layers helped give its name. It was lovely to pull apart, with a nice, chewy texture. The filling wasn't exactly in the center (I shared this with my husband) so I dipped a little into the filling (borderline reminded me of pastry cream) that my husband got. It's light but also has a very nice matcha flavor that comes through. RASPBERRY LYCHEE PIE: I love pie and I was happy to find a uniquely flavored one here especially since it reminded me of my favorite ice cream flavor in Europe at Haagen Dazs years back (rose raspberry lychee) so I pounced on it. First off, this is definitely a mousse pie. We're vegetarian so a part of me wonders if gelatin was used to make this so I likely won't get this a second time without me asking the necessary questions - but it is good. As with most mousse confections, this is light and delicate in a way. Airy. Still substantial that I didn't feel cheated out of my money but not too filling. Nothing overpowered each other and the flavors and textures worked together beautifully. There were chunks of raspberries but I don't recall actual bits of lychee fruit in there, though you do get the flavor of it in there. I absolutely love the interesting flavors here and the items I got. I especially am a fan of how everything is perfectly sweet. I have a sweet tooth, but only for things that aren't too sweet and this is completely up my alley. They do have gluten free options but nothing extensive. And I'm pretty sure they include eggs. I have a kid with multiple food allergies and he couldn't have anything here so I got him a bottle of apple juice and he was content with it. I'll definitely stop by again to try more items and get a drink to go with. Maybe get my daughter a cookie since I hear they're pretty good.
