Several birthday parties, almost all tables in use, but this wasn't a detriment. I brought my 2 year old and met his friend there, and they had a ton of fun in the toddler section. A couple of times rambunctious older kids tried to take over the ball pit in the toddlers only area, and staff actually came to redirect those children to the appropriate play structure. This was FANTASTIC! I wasn't sure that they would do that, and was in the process of moving my toddler to a different section for his safety the first time a staff came over. Another time a manager came over to redirect older kids right after they zoomed into the area, and another time a staff member redirected older kids before they entered. It was the busiest I've ever seen it there, but they were definitely well staffed and doing a great job. This did mean I didn't feel comfortable letting my toddler on the larger play structure, but that was not a problem for me. We have gone on it when there were fewer kids and it was fun, but I was especially glad he was happy in the toddler section almost the whole time. I definitely recommend this place as an activity for your family. I'm not sure of when kids age out of it being fun, but it does provide great value. When you pay for admission, you get 2 free adults per kid, free siblings under 1, and can reenter later in the day. They open at 10 am on the weekend and the second time we went, for my son's 2nd birthday, we got there just after opening and had the whole place to ourselves for a bit. It's been fun when it's busy and when it's not.

The booking process is quite simple with the waiver sign off and they quickly check you in at the front desk too. The facility is well maintained and top of all safe and "Kid friendly". My son loves this place and never wants to leave when it's time to leave. They also have a bit of space for hosting birthday party events and the rides here are fun and well constructed.

The play zone is located in a stand-alone area of a previous store, on the corner next to Nordstrom and across from Color Me Mine, and a sports memorabilia store. It has multiple areas for parents to sit, and its own bathroom equipped with a changing table. The seating is set up in a way that closes in most of the area, which helps to keep the little ones confined to the play area, and not wandering (or running) off into the mall. Under the seats there are shoe cubbies, and on the wall multiple hand sanitizer dispensers. Now for the children.... There is a small slide with a tunnel underneath. Surrounding the slide is a road themed carpet which leads to a Mickey and Minnie themed pretend sports car. A giant television in the middle of the zone I have noticed is typically playing Vampirina. The zone also has a foot stomp keyboard, next to that on one side are two computers and on the other side is a push button wall that plays sounds. The back wall has an abacus and a tic-tac-toe tile game. I know I am missing a few things but that covers most of it. Now I am well aware this ''zone" is promoting Disney, however Middlesex county lacks free indoor play areas with a park-like feel, where kids can run around with others and interact. So major kudos to Disney and Simon properties for providing a space free of charge for our little ones to do what they do. I rated this space 4/5 stars because it is truly a space for ages 5 and under. I would give an older child playing here about 5 minutes til boredom set in. Also the space is on the smaller side. Especially on a Saturday in the middle of the day in the dead of winter, you are looking at a packed house. Before I conclude I want to mention a few reviews that are already posted.... This place should not be reviewed based on rambunctious children or a lack of parental supervision. That is not a valid review of the actual establishment. It would be like giving a product a negative review because of slow shipping speed, or being sent the wrong item. The concerns noted by previous reviewers are invalid because they have nothing to do with the play zone itself. Also this zone can not be policed as it is a somewhat public space. Are parks policed? It is up to the parents to properly keep track of their own children. While it is frustrating when some parents fail to do their duty in watching their own kids, that is the way it goes, just as if it was a park. This is a FREE indoor space that is good for our children. I would recommend trying it out on a weekday or weeknight so as not to be overwhelmed by crowds. Way to go Disney and Simon!

For what they spent, it was a little ridiculous that they only got 6 pizzas total to feed over 30 people. The cotton candy machine was smoking and smelled like plastic, and the cotton candy produced from this machine tasted like plastic as well. It was very odd. For some reason, they wouldn't let us turn on the light in one of the rooms we were in. No drinks were provided for the adults, and the drinks for the kids were coming out of odd plastic jugs. Some homemade juice mixture, maybe? I imagine it was fine and mostly watered down juice to save money, but the jugs looked dirty to us. My cousin tried to give the 2 teenage girls working there a tip, but the one was in the back, so the owner said, "I'll take it." We assumed to imply to give it to the other worker, but she just stuck it in her pocket, and when the other girl came out of the backroom, she didn't give her the money. Why does the owner even need a tip? You own the place; you were paid $1100 for 2 hours of fun for the kids with watered-down juice, no drinks for the adults, and not enough pizza to feed even 10 people. Oh, and a smoking cotton candy machine whose smell made us naucious. Then to top it off, they tried to charge them extra sales tax. Who does that? -Edit Ok so I guess the very prideful and respectful business is going to argue with customers now, be condescending and call them liars. But what else can I expect from the company that I found to be completely unprofessional during my nephew's birthday party. But if you want to argue, Im game. Regardless of what the parents signed, I stated your pricing was ridiculous regardless of what the parents agreed to. $1100 for what? Honestly, that wasnt worth $700. Its a criticism of your pricing in general regardless of what the parents agreed to. I can have my opinion ma'am and they have theirs. Maybe they feel differently but I dont find the price reasonable. A dust of cotton candy? Sorry but that was a little bit more than a dust and I dont really care if it was burning actual plastic or not. It smelled odd. It surely didnt smell like blue raspberry. And you can quote me the entire safety manual but the machine looks like it was made in the 60s. Ive seen other machines that didnt create a "dust" and didnt give off that horrible smell so it was shocking to see your machine do these things. About the lights, you turned them off twice. My cousin and his wife's cousin turned them on and you turned them off. I was there ma'am, dont tell me there wasnt an issue with leaving them on. It was awkward with the lights the way they were, thats why 2 different people turned them on. You turned them off, twice. Now the tip, yes, the girls did get it. Because after you pocketed the money as if it was your own, my cousin made sure to give the other girl a tip. You did not give her the money he gave you when she came out of the backroom. Youve got nothing but 5 star ratings and Im not sure how. We could have went to Dave and Busters and got more for less and they wouldnt sit here arguing with us over a bad review. But hey, this is actually a great look for you and your company so if youd like to keep being condescending and arguing with me, Id love to continue.

Honestly, we were a bit reserved when we arrived to the location. The outside appearance of the establishment did not necessarily present any sort of grandeur, with the parking lot being a bit confusing to get to (Google Maps will put you in the parking lot of Kearny Bank which is reserved for bank customers only). We were not sure what this venue had to offer from the small outward appearance. Once we stepped inside, the entire vibe changed. The reception and front desk area were full of different party items, from decorations to toys, all of which can be purchased. This area is almost its own gift store and business within itself. We had to quickly separate ourselves from being overwhelmed in our exploration of this area. The entire venue was reserved for and catered to the guests of the birthday family (for a specific time block I would imagine). This was nice to be a part of because it definitely felt like everyone received a more private and intimate service (compared to larger, corporate venues), with nothing but the utmost dedication from the owner and workers in providing the best experience. One of the owners greeted us when we arrived, immediately making us feel welcomed. There appeared to be a formalized event agenda. This was nice because it helped corral and integrate guests together which facilitated mingling between both close friends and acquaintances (while not forcing any unwanted interactions). From start to finish, we felt that we were always doing something and never really felt that we were waiting for the party to end. This is a great reflection on the mamagement skills of the ownet and staff. If you are comparing Kidz n Kaboodle as a playspace to lets say Princeton Playspace, the venue is smaller in size. However, as a party venue, Kidz n Kaboodle is ideal. Our daughters were aged 5 and 2, and the various activities they had were appropriate for their age. There are about 10 distinct activity areas with a dining/social area. The dining/social area is a bit small (I believe there is a suggested cap on adults) and really meant for children. One of the 10 activity areas is a larger, indoor, "almost-obstacle course/playground" that offers monkey bars, some seesaws, ballpit, foosball, amongst other physical activities. The other 9 areas consist of smaller rooms and spaces, ranging from a small arcade to themed play areas. Overall, the size of the venue works out. We continued to be pleased with the friendliness of the owner and staff. They were incredibly attentive, while taking off some load of the parents (we still had to supervise, but the staff definitely helped more than required to ensure the safety of the children). This was a great bit of relief - as I am sure most, if not all, parents would appreciate. The staff was super sweet with the kids which was a nice change from the usual apathetic young adults that usually work these venues. All in all, a great venue to host your kids' birthday parties! Highly recommend, especially as a small, local business.

And that's exactly the same reason why this place is also a tight place for kids to run around. You get a feel of entering a crowded market at all times (from our experience of being here twice for a birthday party and then a play date). Sometimes you will need to run around and there is no private play time for the birthday party attending kids and they get lost amongst the regular crowd of kids. But the place is well maintained (including the washrooms) for the most part and they provide a free returning voucher for a limited time period for the kids participating in birthday parties. There's a designated baby area, a jumping area, slides, a dress-up section, a pretend play area, and even a cow the kids can milk, which was a big hit. The party room was nicely decorated by the party team and comfortably fit our group of 14 kids and 22 adults. They offer a catering menu, and we chose the pizza, which was delicious. Outside dessert is allowed at no extra cost. If you'd like to bring outside food, there's an $80 fee. They were also very accommodating with decorations. I was able to bring balloons, and since they didn't have the party theme I wanted, they allowed me to bring my own plates, cups, banner, and other party décor. The party package includes two hours total, with 90 minutes in the party room. Overall, it was a really good experience, and everyone especially my daughter had an amazing time. I would definitely recommend this place for a kids' party.

It's a pretty big playground compared to others we've been to! The ball pit area and climbing n/slide area is really nice and has lots of areas to crawl around and play, even 3 swings on the bottom area. They made great use of the whole space! They have different areas for kids to play, 2 Lego tables to play, different walls to put Lego and other wood sticks to put into the wall, a "sand" box which has small wood blocks instead of sand, lots of activity toys and overall many rides and toys to try out! They also have a supermarket and kitchen area for creative play. The other part of the play universe is arcade games and mini rides for kids from small to older. I like that they have this combines, if you have kids different ages they all have areas to play. Older kids might enjoy the arcade area more while younger kids play in the play areas. I definitely recommend the indoor playground to come and play! You get a few coins when you check in and can try out a few games. Fantastic concept!

There were also multiple staff roaming around to ensure that the environment is clean and organized; for one of the slides the padding was exposed and one of the male staff stood around to ensure he covered that area with balls in the ball pit, demonstrating consideration and really good work ethics that we all appreciated. Out of all the children play place across Staten Island, I believe this play place is by far one of the best, with ample amounts of obstacles and machines for the kiddies to enjoy. My only minor critique is that the token to dollar ratio is a bit high, with 10 bucks equating to 20 token and most rides ranges from 4-6 tokens, which is about 2-3 dollars per ride, which is often a minute or less. One of the rides also had a wheel that was broken, so the ride ended sooner due to be unable to dodge the obstacles. The claw machine also costs about 5 token each, which equates to 2.50 per try. Nonetheless, Just Kidding Universe Playground is definitely a great place for kids to have fun and spread their wings of creativity. The staffs were all amazing and I will definitely be back with our little one in the future. Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:
