Park Slope

My experience at Spear Park Slope was very positive-- I worked with Fraidy who is such a caring,…read morerespectful, and skilled provider. She was a great listener and adapted the exercises as time went by, always mindful of how I was feeling that week. All of my interactions with Spear staff (e.g., checking in at front desk, working with other providers in Fraidy's absence) were positive and professional. Highly recommend this practice to all and would return if needed!

I am beyond frustrated with the level of incompetence and lack of professionalism with Spear and…read morespecifically this location. I arrived at exactly 9:05 for my appointment today, paid my co-pay, and sat in the waiting area as instructed. After 15 minutes of sitting right in front of the desk, I received an automated email stating I was a "no-show." When I flagged this, the receptionist tried to claim I was "late" and that my therapist, Anushka, needed to reschedule me. This is completely false. I was on time and waiting in the lobby the entire time. To make matters worse, they then suggested I could still be seen 20 minutes into my time slot, which is totally unacceptable and unfair to any patient. I am 32 weeks pregnant and do not have the energy to deal with this kind of run-around. Between the clerical errors and the attempt to blame the patient for their own mistake, I will not be returning. I'd highly recommend looking elsewhere if you value your time and expect basic professional courtesy.

Prospect Heights

I spent several months visiting this office almost weekly for a running injury and had a lovely…read moreexperience. From the therapists to the desk staff, everyone in the office seems ... genuinely happy to be there? And like they actually care about their patients? Crazy, but this isn't always the case in medical settings! Martin was incredibly kind and patient with me, even when I was stubborn and disobedient (!), and by the end of our time, he had completely reframed how I thought of exercise, strength, and recovery. Can't recommend enough!!!

I went to Hima Gandhi for a back injury and she helped SOOOO much. I will sing her praise forever…read more I've had a herniated disc in my lower back+neuropathy for the past 6 years and I've done PT before, but it only kind of helped...Hima's care ACTUALLY made a difference. Hima is extremely kind and optimistic and knowledgeable. She gave me the tools to handle flair ups when they inevitably happen, but from the time I started seeing her to finishing I went from not being able to walk very much and feeling pain every day, to exercising again with minimal pain and anxiety of reinjury. At one point I even strained something in my hip while I was out of town, and she responded to my panicked email immediately, giving me guidance. She even helped me prepare physically for moving apartments. Treatment from her is very personal and I appreciated it so much. Especially when an injury-that you feel is ruining your quality of life-can be so emotional. The facility is kind of small and can feel chaotic when it's busy, but I didn't mind too much. The windows and high ceilings were nice, plus all the equipment looked new. I will definitely be coming back here if I have any future issues. 1000/10 stars for Hima Gandhi
