We visited here on a Saturday for lunch and were seated right away. The restaurant is cute and clean on the inside. We started with soups and the potato pancakes, which ended up being the highlight of the meal. The service was friendly but very slow. It was one girl hosting, serving, running food, cleaning tables, and serving checks. At the time of our visit almost every table was filled, so you can imagine how hard she had to work. The entrees were decent. We rated them around 6/10-7/10.

Met up with some dear relatives, wanted some food we both love & miss. Found parking right in front of the restaurant! Rockstar Parking!!! The outside of the building fit into the Chicago look. Inside was very clean, modern & well lit. We were seated immediately, our Waitstaff was Kasia, very pleasant and quite accommodating. We ordered Some Zywiec Beer, soda & a Vodka Martini with Two Flags Vodka(premium Vodka). Hit the spot. The Steak Tartare was very impressive, served with hard boiled eggs, onions seasoned perfectly with plenty of rye bread. Rosołe was perfect Polish Penicillin...will cure everything; Definitely made from scratch. Ordered the Polish plate, Pork cutlet, Polish Sausage mashed potatoes with Sauer Kraut, plate of Russian Pierogi, and Meat Dumplings called Pyzy. Must say we had no room for dessert, but that's okay. Looking forward to returning with our immediate Family soon. Smacznego, Nazdrowie & Cheers!

$$: 2 ppl for about $50 Food: As a first time visitor, of course have to try the polish food assortment and traditional sour soup. It turns out not bad. I like the pork chop and cabbage roll. The pork chop tastes like tonkatsu, crispy and light breaded. Sour soup well solved my nauseous from long drive. Service: they only have 1 server, so kind of slow, and you have to ask for the bread and water, otherwise she might assume you don't need it... Ambiance: small and cozy, nice place to grab a quick lunch.

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for some time and the menu looked amazing. We arrived shortly after 1 pm and it was fairly busy with almost all table being taken. The server was very nice and found us a table. The food was incredible between the potato pancakes, beef roast, and sour soup. Great flavors and portions. There's no doubt that we will be returning. They do need to hire or add more server support though. Our server had to run all over the place and you could tell she was tired. Definitely recommended.

Happy to return after they had a sort period off close while they did renovations. The restaurant is beautifully refreshed, and the food is as delicious as ever. We're so glad to have this thriving authentic restaurant and its wonderful crew so close to home.

Food is heavy, delicious and comforting just like Grandma's cooking! The Sour soup, pierogi and potato pancakes were amazing. Very cozy and clean inside. Highly recommend for old school Polish food!

Sour Rye Soup: Not bad, but honestly, I wouldn't order it again... the fermented sourness was just too direct and intense. Polish Hunters Stew: Apparently a national dish of Poland. The first bite tasted like Italian meat sauce, with a rich tomato flavor and a slight smoky aroma; then I discovered the ingredients included sausage, cured beef brisket, minced meat, and sauerkraut, making it quite substantial and much more satisfying than Italian meat sauce. Overall, it was a rich, sweet and sour flavor, perfect with rice, pasta, or bread. Sauerkraut & Mushroom Pierogi: Dumplings, but the Polish version. The sauerkraut was only slightly sour, refreshing and delicious with the mushrooms, while the sour cream added a touch of creaminess and richness. Unfortunately, the skin was thick and sticky, as if it had been boiled for a long time. For better dumplings skin, please turn to a Northeastern Chinese. Half Duck: Strangely, it reminded me of confit de canard. The meat was incredibly tender, falling off the bone with a gentle pull; the melt-in-your-mouth texture was truly delightful. The cranberry sauce was perfectly balanced between sweet and sour, with a rich fruity and fermented aroma. The rosemary emerged in the aftertaste, enriching the flavors and cutting through the richness. The accompanying sauerkraut was even better than the duck, with a crunchy texture and a mild, pleasant sourness, enveloped in a rich buttery and creamy flavor. The accompanying fpotatoes were also soft and delicious, but the roasted pear was too overpowering in its softness and sweetness, not meeting my expectations for a palate cleanser. Table Bread: The bread itself was unremarkable, but the generous amount of butter was commendable. I cannot believe that there is only one server for all the tables.

I had the cheese and potato pierogis which were delicious and covered with grilled onions and bacon. My wife got the stuffed cabbage and enjoy equally. Service was top notch. We ate at the bar and were served promptly and with lots of courtesy.

We went before the dinner rush on a Saturday. There's a small parking lot in the back but that was full so we parked on the street. We were immediately seated and drink orders were taken as well as soup (which is included). Drinks are added separately and not inclusive of the $34 per person. I had the borscht and that was tasty and comforting. My brother in law didn't waste any time and he immediately got his first plate going. My sister and I took our time to enjoy the soup. I then started with the appetizers and tried the different salads. It was cool to see they had aspic since that's not something you see often either. When I eventually made my way to the warm food, I was overwhelmed by all the choices. I tried to take one of everything but even then it was too much so I didn't get to try it all. The meats that I did try were super tender and juicy. They definitely know what they're doing with the meats! The dessert area had so many different options. There was cake, flan and cheesecakes. So many to choose from! I think I just love Polish food in general because of the comfort food aspect. The proteins are usually simmered in gravy and you get to pair it with potatoes cooked in all sort of ways! My sister was adventurous and just started putting random stuff on her plate that I've never seen before. She found the meat spread and that was surprisingly good too. If you're ever in the area, try to go before the dinner rush. It's a great space and is deserving of the title "Largest Polish buffet in Chicagoland".
