The builder, Ken, comes out and TOTALLY nails it. This guy was amazing not only in his craftsmanship but also his thoughtfulness in customer service. This has got to be one of the best customer service experiences I've ever received. He went above and beyond expectation....So my wife and I recently had a mold issue due to a water leak in our bathroom so she's been extra vigilant in looking out for mold. Some of the 2x4's on the frame had these gray streaks on it and she was concerned - turns out it's nothing to worry about as it's just a natural effect of the wood (blue beetle pine). But Ken! He rebuilds the frame with unmarked wood anyway just so my wife would have not a single doubt. Incredible. He also cut out some of the baseboard he removed to give us a design idea we hadn't thought of which was to put it around the base of the fireplace. We initially were neutral to the idea but he cut them anyway and placed it so we could see what it looks like and we love it! We never would've done it this way if he hadn't suggested it. I'm including some pics - we still have to finish painting it and stuff but you can get an idea. This company is professional, experienced, and thoughtful

We got the inspection scheduled just as fast. On the day of the inspection, Chris called me to keep me updated throughout the day. The only thing I would slightly ding them for is that they arrived pretty much at the end of the appointment window. However, Chris kept me updated on his status. As promised, he sent me the photos, inspection report and the quote for suggested repairs the next morning. All around pleased with the experience! Which is probably why the original owners attempted to convert it to gas. We wanted wood, not gas, and we wanted to get the 26% federal income tax credit. So we visited A Fireplace Store and More and spoke to the woman working there. She set up a date for Rony to come out and give us an estimate. Rony showed up on time and we settled on a modern high efficiency biomass fireplace insert that qualifies for the credit. Parts and labor was not cheap, but we wanted a quality appliance and this business has decades of experience, which we also wanted. We put down a deposit and set the installation day, which was today. Rony and his team showed up on time, worked quickly, did good quality work and cleaned up afterwards. Rony explained how to use the new fireplace and was all done in a matter of 3-4 hours. Very happy with our purchase and service and we can't wait until we can use it this winter.

They said they could have one made and shipped in 2 weeks. Interesting. We declined because they should have known that the order was 4 weeks late. They have been in business for a very long time so someone dropped the ball and the customer who paid in full 8 weeks ago, shouldn't be chasing down their order. Disappointing R&P C
