I emailed the owner and asked for a refund for the bag 13 days after purchase. Here is her response: - the bag is stitched with one continuous leather lace. Your pictures should a clean cut to the lace. It was not cut when you purchased it. Given that you don't want a replacement- I have to assume it was cut intentionally. Thus, I am not able to return or replace the bag. Out return policy is within 7 days and item must be in new condition with tags attached. She has accused me of cutting the bag. Unreal. Avoid this shop.

I am originally from Montana, now living in Washington, and sure miss Big Sky Country! These types of items are so great for gifts or to buy for myself to wear and have to remind me of home! I placed an order for a t-shirt and a picture frame. The t-shirt is so soft and comfortable and really like the material. The picture frame is the shape of the state of Montana, rustic, and absolutely love it. What really struck me as over-the-top, was the packaging. The packaging was nicely done, with extra care taken to make sure my items didn't break or get damaged during delivery. When I opened my package, there was also the sweetest thank you card and picture of the owners and family. What a sweet and thoughtful personal touch to show their appreciation and gratitude for your business. When I saw this, I just thought what a sweet and thoughtful family they are to add this extra something special to show their thanks, and fell in love with them and the store even more. With obvious attitude, She pointed to a rack of shirts and said if the size is not there we do not have one. Needless to say, we just left. I could have known that without her taking my precious vacation time, the last time I combed through a rack of t-shirts I was at at discount store. I guess I didn't need the shirt after all. (It would have been a great impulse buy though) the shirt was very unique, it had a map of the state with the word, SHhh in the middle. Montana is a beautiful place with a very small population. They want to keep it that way. My only regret was, I did not get the label. With that kind of service, Buffalo Creek Clothing Co. will not be around for my next visit. I found this place while shopping on vacation. After I arrived home, the bracelet broke before I had a chance to wear it even once. I emailed the owner and she said she would send me a replacement or store credit but no refunds. Since I live several hours away and don't plan on returning anytime soon, I sent in the bracelet for a replacement piece. Either my package was totally lost in the mail (I would hope this days if it wasn't delivered it would be sent back to my return address) or the owner received my package and chose to not send me a replacement. I didn't invest that much in the bracelet or mailing, but I am still disappointed that I never received my package back or a replacement piece :-( I don't want to blame the boutique if this was the post office's fault, but just be careful before buying if you know you won't be returning again soon!

I was charged twice for a single transaction totaling $227.63-and the way this was handled was incredibly unprofessional. I spoke with a woman named Christina, and rather than taking ownership or even offering a basic apology, she immediately shifted the blame to the credit card processing company. She told me they were closed and the issue would be addressed the following morning. Two days later-no update on my card, no call back. So I followed up myself AGAIN. Christina did not even acknowledge she forgot both to follow up and to handle the issue. Still, no apology for the oversight. Then, to make matters worse, she told me she couldn't credit the full amount and proceeded to argue with me that the store only charged once. She said she has to call their credit card processor for the remaining amount and sounded annoyed. This mistake should have been handled promptly. It's been 6 days, and I have yet to receive my credit back. Mistakes happen, I understand that. But the complete lack of responsibility, professionalism, and customer care is what prompted this review. Make sure you receive confirmation that you were only charged once for your transaction before you leave. Christina admitted it has happened before.
