Lately, however, I've been very disappointed over the rude treatment I've tolerated from one particular cashier. In my first encounter with her, she refused to apply a discount coupon toward an item I paid with a gift card. She stated that I couldn't use both. I called a manager later who confirmed that the cashier was indeed mistaken. Her attitude on subsequent shopping visits has been snarky. I recently endured another unpleasant experience with her when she flat out told me I couldn't use my $10 coupon on the items I wanted to buy. Turns out again she was mistaken. And the items were on sale but she argued with me that they weren't. This cashier needs some serious customer service training or perhaps should be moved to a position where she isn't dealing with the public. I dread seeing her when I shop.

First time I went I found my favorite shoes and a great buy on a Dooney & Burke hand bag. Nice bag under $100 which is almost unheard of. I love Ross and their great prices. Second trip was in late January and they hardly had any handbags. One thing about this Ross they're always orderly and easy to browse. There are many of Ross stores that are a mess. It was in the sale section and originally marked for $55, but that number was crossed out and $30 was listed below it. I tried it on and said "I love it, and I'll definitely buy it as that is such a good price," and placed it outside of the dressing room while I tried on another item. After I finished trying on the second item, owner then pointed to the jacket's price tag and said "That's a 3, not a 5 - I couldn't possibly let a piece like this go for less than $50." Considering there was a 5 written right above the contested number, it seemed odd that she was claiming the number below was a 3. I was surprised she blatantly had changed the price on me, and said "ok I would have bought it for $30 but $50 is a little more than I was willing to pay today. I'll think about it and come back tomorrow." The next day, I came back and she told me she still had it but it was no longer for sale as she now thinks it's more valuable than the (raised) price she told me Friday. I, confused, asked why she would be unwilling to sell it to me today if she was willing yesterday, and she said she believes it may be vintage Halston despite the sewn tag on the coat saying "Nordstrom." I said fine and asked if I could take a photo as I liked the fit of the item. She then said "absolutely not, we do not allow pictures." Also worth noting that the owner followed around after me while I was browsing as if she was watching me. The prices in the store are also quite high.

Originally a women's boutique in the 40s, the current owner (a former actress) has the racks and shelves filled with vintage treasures. (And I do mean, racks and racks) The best part?
