The Beach Umbrella was a nice Tommy Bahama beach umbrella but super old and flipped out in the winds at Salt Pond Beach. The Boogie Boards were old with flaps falling off that prevented us from catching good waves at Hanalei Bay and Poipu Beach. Make sure to inspect your gear before you leave! I didn't notice the quality of the boards until we were using them and seeing the rolls royce of nice boogie boards flying by us when we were trying to catch waves and going no where. This shop is conveniently located at the hotel and reasonably priced.

My only complaint about the clothing line itself is that their spaghetti strap dresses do not contain a shelf bra, so if you are on the bigger chest side of the spectrum, this may be difficult unless you have a really good strapless bra. From the moment I walked in, I was met with some high-pressure sales which was a major turn off. I have tried on their dresses before, but they are just not flattering on my body type. I am not fond of strapless bras because they tend to smash large breasts, and are too hot to wear, especially in the humidity of Kauai. Their line is stunning, and they have beautiful shirts for men as well. The dresses come with pockets which is a plus, but their items are extremely pricey, at $239+ per dress. Once again, I left empty handed due to the high-pressure sales, high prices, and lack of shelf bra incorporated into their dresses. I therefore I opted to wear a beautiful and colorful spaghetti strap dress with pockets and a shelf bra from Marshalls for $29.99 and still looked stunning. There is a location in Kapa'a as well. I circled several times and entered the store two separate occasions while I was trying to decide if it was worth it. Nice shop to browse and if you're in need of a gift though.

On the second Sunday each month there's an arts & craft fair with food vendors and live music. Hubby enjoyed going into the Ace Hardware store. Two places we did takeout - Sandwich Isle and Lotus Garden Thai and Chinese. There's an outdoor food court and nearby a public library and a bank. Heads up - avoid going to Foodland during dinner hour. Everyone has the same idea. Long times. We liked the poke. But the prepared food was primarily fried food. Ample outdoor parking.
