I called, no answer, no message service. Called again finally got someone on the phone who said my parts are back ordered for weeks; no one emailed or called to let me know . She couldn't do a refund from her desk so sent me to some else and I had leave a VM since no one answered again. Overall no one emailed or called back but they did come through and refund me. If I could give a 0 star review I would. I brought my Yamaha Vstar to Sloans in December 2024 and spent $2500 on repairs. Less than 7 months later my bike breaks down so I take it back. They call me today and tell me it is the SAME EXACT THING as before and that they only warranty their work for 3 months. Service writer tells me "well you have about another hour and a half left for your $290 diagnosis fee you paid for.. I can have the mechanic look at it deeper." I said okay just let me know what you find out. He adds in there, "oh by the way.. if you don't do the repairs that we quote you, the $290 doesn't cover reassembly of your bike.. so you will have to pay extra for us to reassemble it after we take it apart." Uh. so you are just going to give me my bike back in pieces?? INSANE. I WILL NEVER BE BACK. What a scam of a business. read more

2025 ktm 390 smcr had my new bike with 60 miles after having in service for 2 weeks for oil leak and was told when drop off they would have on rack next two days 8 days later they looked at and said oil pressure switch was bad 6 days later they replaced the oil pressure switch and got it back road 8 miles home and still had same oil leak upon inspection. There were oil fingerprints all over random places on the bike left bolt out of my front plastic and left other bolt. One turn tight, I'll give it out. Then scratched up the corner of the plastic on a brand new bike. Took bike to new shop to have the oil leak fixed properly. Very disappointed in the service department and basic mechanic 101, take out seven bolts, replace seven bolts, tighten all bolts. Was ready to pay cash for indian Ftr already had insurance coverage, and cash from bank in hand after the service incompetence IWill not be spending money with them not doing anything about the scratches on brand new plastics on a brand new bike, leaving bolts out of the same fairing then if the one turned in thread boltthen, if the one turned in thread, bolt fell out it woule fly up and potentially cause a lay down wreck or death with only 60 miles on the bike Also spoke with KTM customer service after taking my bike to a new dealer and salons did not upload pictures of the work that they did per warranty. HOPE YOU EXPRESS THE IMPORTANCE OF TIGHTENING BOLTS IN DOUBLE, CHECKING TIGHTENING OF BOLTS ON CUSTOMERS. MOTORCYCLES THAT LOOSE BOLTS, IT CAN CAUSE ACCIDENT OR EASILY CAUSE DEATH OF PARTS FLYING OFF.WE'RE PARTS WHEELING, LOOSE.Ive owned over 206 bikes in my life from the age 16 and now 44 not including the bike from 9yr to 16 yr that were sponsored motocross and my factor rides.in all this is the worst service I've ever had for living in 8 state and over 70 dealer repairs I've never seen such incompetence in service.I'ed owed and operated multiple businesses and would say if employees with the incompetence and lying ability would be in the unemployment line. Just to add an update to this review and the icing on the cake, the oil pressure sensor switch that salons replaced is the main part of the leak. Also a little from the valve cover and the head gasket. Not sure. How the part that was replaced, still leaking and leaking from 2 other places that could not be detected. Maintenance is done well. That's the five star part. But they were severely overbooked so it took two weeks before they could take my bike. Then the service was slow (seven day turnaround). Plus, I think it was a little overpriced. Definitely charges for the maximum amount of labor hours possible for a job. Wasn't impressed by labor costs vs speed of service. This place is absolutely terrible. I recently bought a motorcycle there and before I could take it home they said that they needed to put a battery in it. So I waited for that battery and after a couple days I got the bike. Less than 2 weeks after getting the bike it kept dying on me and I called 3 times and either got transferred around and never got to talk to anyone or I was told that they would call me back and they never called me back. Turns out it needed a battery so I replaced it and everything was fine. I was ok with paying for the battery myself so I didn't have to go there. Then comes the tag issue. My temp tag that they gave me expired two months after I bought the bike and they never once called me with any information about my tag. So I continued to call and eventually had to have someone else call for me to get any information out of them. They proceeded to not mail my tag out till 2 days after my temp tag expired, so now I can't ride my bike in this wonderful weather. In conclusion this place is awful and I will never go back and regret doing business with them read more

I took my 2019 r1 to them several times this month because they left my chain super lose after I bought 600$ tires. Then I bought a new chain from these scumbags and they called me 10m before they closed to say it was ready then proceeded to charge me a 25$ storage fee because they held it till the next morning when they were open. DONT GO HERE IF YOU WANT A GOOD VALUE!! They say they have the lowest rates but that's Bull shit. I have been taking my bike to HBR POWERSPORTS and they have been amazing with a shop rate of 80$. Sloan's said they did not want to price match even tho they said they have the lowest around. Bunch of money hungry people!! I paid 280$ just for a chain to be put on alone. Outrageous prices. I bought my '04 Kawasaki Vulcan Classic 1500 from Sloan's. Nice selection of bikes here... both new and used. I'm partial to Kawasaki cruisers, but they carry Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha and Polaris as well. Full range of cruisers, sport bikes and ATVs. I get all my repair and maintenance work done here even though I have 2 other dealerships closer to my house. Sloan's takes care of my stuff and does excellent work in their shop. They also have a store on-site for any gear you may need in a pinch. Clothes, helmet, glasses, jackets, leather, bags, etc. Of course they can order just about any after market or OEM part you can think of. They've also matched prices I've found cheaper elsewhere! Bought a brand new 2020 Vespa 300 GTS Super. Added a windshield and they said they would charge 1 hour labor to assemble and install because they claimed that you had to disassemble the front fairing on the handle bars - over $400 with labor. But they ordered the wrong windshield and my delivery would be delayed another week. I said forget it and just deliver the bike. I ordered the correct windshield online for $200 and installed it myself in about 20 minutes - no need to disassemble the handlebar fairing. They refunded my money and finally delivered the bike. On an unrelated topic I am not 100% confident that they did a very good job on the predelivery inspection as I have air in the front brake line and will have to have it bled. I have a warranty but the dealer is 150 miles away. I guess I'll try to find a local shop to do the work. read more

Sales staff is pretty typical, ranging from clueless to excellent. I've talked to sales people that tried to tell me a bike had chain drive while we were both looking at the shaft, and others that could tell me everything about the bike I was after. The competent seem to last longest, so try and talk to someone that has been there a while.. That's generally who you want to deal with. Wide range of cycles on the floor, so plenty of choices to be had. Parts/Accessories staff is competent, if often spread a little thin. It can be a little annoying waiting to get a part if all the staff is helping with people shopping for gear. They usually have the parts in stock, though. Selection of gear (especially gloves) can be a bit limited, but I've got weird sizing, so that's something I just deal with. read more

Outside the bike being a bit old years wise everything else screamed brand new. The price was so fair to me that i didnt even try to fanaggle on the price i just asked that they throw in a brand new ICON helmet.. easiest negotion in the world. Even after deal was done they threw me a 50 gift card for whatever... 2 days later i got a nice handwritten note from owner thanking me. I go here for mostly maintenance products like oil, chain lube, and other stuff, as well as apparel. I've always had a good experience, prices are fair, and they are quick to look up stock for you. Once I needed a new visor for my helmet, and they didn't have one in stock, so they let me purchase the visor off of a helmet on the shelf. My only problem is on their jackets, the larger are priced higher after the 2x mark. I'm 6'4" and 350 pounds, so I wear 3x and up motorcycle gear. Paying 30 extra dollars on a jacket that doesn't have that markup online feels kind of unfair,but they have always been happy to give any discount they had to me no questions asked. read more

I brought my 95 Goldwing with 90K in as it would not start. The previous month it wouldn't start so Sloan's was "nice" enough to fix it and I asked them to change the oil while in the shop. The second time they told me the head gasket was blown and the block was full of water and would cost 2500 - 3000 to fix. I didn't have the money so I wholesaled it to them. A month and a half later I found my bike (custom paint -- very identifiable) on Craigslist. I contacted the guy who buys Wings and converts them into Trikes. He has been working on Wings over 15 years and doubted the gasket was indeed blown. He drained the oil which was black (makes me wonder about the synthetic oil they claimed to put in a month ago) but there was NO water in the oil - so I am supposed to believe the rings on the piston were so good to block water draining into the oil, yet the gasket was blown? Because of their CRAPPY service (though they were very nice when talking to me) I lost my bike which I rode every day and now I have to come up with more money (that I don't have) to get a bike back. I won't change the air in my tires at this establishment. They cheated me!!!!!!! read more

I ordered a helmet from their online ordering system. It was less expensive than other sites so I went for it. I waited for three weeks for the helmet to arrive. After that I started calling the company I had to leave two voicemails and call a third time to talk to a person that would take my situation. He called back promptly telling me that that helmet had been discontinued. In the meantime I had been waiting way over the estimated shipping time for my helmet to arrive. They had explained to me that an email should have been sent stating that the helmet had been discontinued maybe it was in my spam. I checked and it was not. I called back explaining that maybe there was a problem with their email system. They did not seem to care and told me to have a good day.
