I had them come re-sand and reseal, and the sand filled in is falling apart on one side of my patio as well as the edges in only a few months. They came a second time to try to fix it. Told them to let me know when they come because I want to be there whey they start so I can see what they're doing. I did not trust they were doing it well. They came out but didn't let me know and only after they had started, they came to me. That pissed me off, because I explicitely told them to wait until I am outside with them because of that and that I had questions. That request was blatantly ignored. Now about a couple months later, that sand is falling between the cracks and soft to the touch, I can literally compress it with my finger and I now have sand missing between cracks all over the place on one side of my patio again. There's no way they sealed that because that sand wouldn't be soft to the touch and able to compress with your finger! It's not only soft, they don't even put enough sand in it let alone forget to seal the damn thing. The second time they came out, they try to blame it on water, as if I'm an idiot (sure after a few months I expect this to all fall apart). There's nothing that would cause this. Regular rain shouldn't cause a $2k+ job to fail after a few months. The prior company who sanded this patio, the sand was not falling apart like this anywhere. Even after 5 years. Now I'm going to have to refill that sand and fix this myself. Maybe learned a lesson, just do this stuff yourself. Do it right the first time and you won't have reviews like this. Or customers that annoy you because you can't do your job well. They claim "warranties to match our underrepresented workmanship!". What warranty? I got no warranty and even when they come to fix the mess up, it still falls down. Anyone gets rain, even down pours. It's very clear what areas they did not do properly because the rest of the patio is holding ok. I expect a job to last a few years not a few months. Rain and nature happen, we expect this to hold up at least on average 3-5 years. I'm just going to seriously go back to Menards, there's a mexican guy there who knows a lot about this, and he's told me how I can just fix it myself and save money. He explained the different sealants, etc. and the pros and cons. That's exactly what I am going to do. No more hiring people for this. The ants are even crawling into the cracks now. Good times, right before it starts getting cold outside. So glad I have to spend a couple hours fixing this sh** now. I don't normally go out and rant like this but any moron can see this is not done right. Their recommendation was an educated guess rather than a proper diagnostic process to ensure the two cracks were the actual source of water intrusion. I was trusting their professional service to provide an accurate diagnostic. When I requested a refund of the overtime fee only (given the cracks were not actively leaking) and a goodwill discount (given the damages I incurred due to time wasted, since this was not actually the problem), they offered to remove a $100 late payment fee I didn't even know existed and a $50 goodwill discount. The offer is something, but it fell short, especially because the director was curt and seemed more interested in closing out the conversation than actually resolving a legitimate complaint. Get a second opinion before agreeing to any foundation work. EDITED IN RESPONSE TO COMPANY DOUBLING DOWN... I appreciate the response but I would like to expand on a few of the comments made. While Saturday was accommodating, it was only necessary due to the incorrect diagnosis. Your team tried to schedule me a week and a half out. I asked if they could do better. They also took special care not to damage our roof as our house has a curved cedar shingle roof and the shingles are thin and fragile. Derek also picked up three very heavy clay chimney pots from the supply yard for us, saving us the hassle of having to haul these cumbersome items. He would always pick up his phone or call back shortly and answer the myriad of questions I had, despite probably being busy with his hands full.
