It's funny the atmosphere here reminds me more of a Southern Soul food restaurant that happens to serve bbq vs a bbq restaurant. I ordered the Bourbon Sirloin Tips dinner ($28). I got Baked Beans and asparagus with it, both premium sides so extra. The Sirloin tips were good, however the Bourbon sauce was unlike any Bourbon sauce I've had before. In this case that's not a good thing. It was saved though by the tables Slo's bbq sauce. The Baked Beans were excellent and slightly spicy. The asparagus was a big pass. I would have expected a bbq twist on it, however they were very plain. When you're seated they bring a generous slice of cornbread. It was excellent. They serve honey butter with it, I'd add cinnamon for a nice addition! The service was good. Friendly and helpful. Overall a 4 star review. Would I return? Yes, but I'd get a different dish. I was surprised it wasn't busier for a Memorial Sunday lunch.

Place is super close to the gift shops, love that they have a outdoor patio! We had a pretty large party and we were seated pretty fast. The complimentary cornbread they served before our meal was a bit dry, even with the butter it was just okay for me, not a huge fan of it. I tried the giant burger that I kind of regret lol, I wasn't able to eat it only maybe 1/4 of it. The brisket in it was amazing tho! Next time I'll stick to a brisket meal. Also tried the spicy chicken sandwich and it was delicious, perfect spice and the chicken stayed crunchy even with the sauce on it.

Get off Main Street and grab some GOOD food at Slo' Bones. This place is the bees knees for sure! Great food, exceptional service, very casual, plenty of parking, full bar and good prices. Not the tourist prices with crap food they are calling German downtown. I know German food and Frankemuth doesn't have it so don't waste your time or money to be disappointed. Slo' Bones is where it's at. The lunch specials are a great price for portion and done very well. We started with Burnt Ends. This are brisket pieces smoked and cooking in sauce (sometimes). I loved the flavor and portion was a great shareable for the three of us. I order the korean smoked wings. Mom had a combo and bonus dad had the meatloaf. The Korean wings were in a sweet Korean BBQ sauce - they are NOT traditional Korean wings. which was fine. I would have been shocked if they were anything but what I received. Slo' Bones is where we typically end up when we visit town, after a long day of walking around and need food. Get your protein load here!

Good BBQ place in town. We came on $1 wings night and the wings are amazing. We also got ribs beans, greens, and sweet mashed potatoes. Everything was good. Wasn't super Smokey flavor but decent barbecue. Our food came out quickly. The waitress was nice and helped us order the right amount of food for the best price. The sauces were ok. My favorite was the Carolina mustard. They didn't have a "sweet sauce" and had 2 hots in the 5 sauce selection. I don't eat cornbread but my 5 year old liked it. Cool atmosphere and love the lighting. The pricing isn't horrible considering it's a restaurant in a resort town. Our meal was $40 and we had food left over. We'll definitely be back again.

All I gotta say is come here the service immaculate and the food 10000/10

Personally did not care for the food. Also very small portions for what you pay. Maybe I'll try again.

Ran out of brisket at 1pm.. Only reason I drove here. How does a bbq place run out of the main attraction? 50$ later and I am still hungry

It was hard to get the grill hot enough as we were provided butter (low smoke point) to cook our food with. It was extremely hard to eat. The mushroom broth was sadly bland to my taste. My Wife is a huge pizza fan. She could eat it every day. So I mentioned in passing that this might be a different type of setting. And it was indeed. Super clean. Red and black all the way through. We both ordered a beer and My Wife got a personal pan pizza. It was eight dollars with two dollars per topping. I ordered the Michigan chicken, cherry salad. We had got there around five and the place was steadily filling up as we sat. Mary, our waitress was very knowledgeable and kind. We felt fairly good about what we had ordered. But let me tell you once we got it, it blew our minds. My wife's pizza was outstanding. She said maybe the best she's ever had. I rolled my eyes and then she offered me a bite. And it was. Truly. A lot of times when you order pizza it's falling off of the crust. It's uneven. This was perfection. She couldn't believe it. Frankly neither could I. The crust was soft and you couldn't tell it from the toppings. No separation nothing falling off and cooked so well. My chicken cherry salad is a favorite in Michigan and they did it right. Each portion was great and more than enough for the both of us. We talked about it the rest of the night. If you have the chance, make sure you visit. It's one of a kind and one of the best experiences we have had for old favorites made new.

A friend had recommended the brewery and said they had good pub food so we decided to dine here. We dined outside on the patio and had a perfect view of the river below. We even ended up seeing the paddle boat as it docked!! I had a mocktail which contained housemaid watermelon juice, and ginger beer and was very refreshing. My nephew ordered a pizza with pepperoni and cheese, and I ordered the fish and chips. Both of us were shocked when the pizza arrived as its size was far from personal pizza size . It was at least a medium! You could tell it had been made in a pizza oven. The crust was nice and crispy and golden brown with a little bit of char on the back. Yum.!! My nephew who is somewhat of a pizza connoisseur said it was very good. It was loaded with cheese and plenty of pepperoni too. My fish and chips were supposed to be beer, battered in one of the ales that they make here but in all honesty it really didn't taste like it to me. It tasted like a standard frozen cod that had been pre-battered so I was disappointed. It wasn't that it wasn't tasty. It just was not what I expected. The coleslaw was also quite interesting. I'm not sure what it was made of, but it was not the shredded cabbage style, but I am used to -the french fries were french fries - nothing spectacular and did not taste like they had been fresh cut. I had asked our server what was more popular between the fish and chips and the schnitzel and she had advised the fish and chips were more popular and her own personal preference. We were both too full to even take a look at the dessert menu and again had plenty of food left over. My nephew took his pizza with him. Service was very good being outside. I know it had to have been kind of a pain to come and check on us periodically but our staff member did so with perfect frequency. I think I'd definitely return here to try a burger, but I can't recommend the fish and chips. My nephew definitely recommends the pizza.!!

The Dunkel wasn't as good as the mass-produced version I had earlier in the day. The other type was fruity was got sickening as it was too sweet. Still better than the standard American beer people drink but not good for this type of brewery. The Christmas Town Pretzel was okay. I prefer a standard pretzel, but others enjoyed it. The mustard was very good and the cheese wasn't bad. The Big Dipper was average. The shaved prime rib was rather dry, so the au jus came in handy. Overall, it was an okay sandwich but not one I would rave about. Overall, this town does not have good places to eat, so this could be your best offer.

He was friendly, attentive, and kept everything running smoothly despite our larger group. The decor was a lot of fun and really made us feel like we had stepped into Germany. It added to the overall experience and made it much more than just another dinner. We tried several different meals, including the Frankenmuth chicken, chicken schnitzel, chicken pot pie, chicken tenders, and a soft pretzel. The portions were generous, the food came out hot, and overall everything tasted very good. The fried chicken was especially crispy and flavorful, and the soup and fresh bread were also excellent. The only real disappointment was the spaetzle. It had way too much butter and ended up being very greasy, which overpowered the dish. Overall, we had a great family dinner and really enjoyed the experience. Between the atmosphere, excellent service from Mitch, and the quality of the food, it's definitely a place worth visiting while you're in Frankenmuth. We'd happily come back.
