What a great venue. Six of us came to see the dueling pianos. We had a blast. Looking forward to seeing more shows here

My family has been going to saint 1881 mostly every Sunday for probably close to a year now. We…read morereally enjoyed it, but within the past few months, the service is not as good as it used to be. It seems that every time we've gone in the past few months, that something was missed in our order. My dad has always gotten the same thing, but it's been messed up so many times that he decided to change his order today. For instance we've ordered the breakfast burrito, and the eggs had been forgotten in it like 3 different times. It seems that when we ask for small changes to our order that maybe the cooks are overlooking it. It's kind of frustrating when you start to enjoy a place, and it's not consistent anymore. I'm not sure why it changed. But when you have regular people, that don't have a problem with any staff, start saying things I think it needs to be noticed. I hope what is said is taken as constructive criticism, because I do want this restaurant to do well.

We thought it looked very similar to RBH, but after talking to our server she explained it was owned by the same owner. Like its sister restaurant it is a restored church with high ceilings and chandeliers, with an elegant yet comfortable feel. It's larger and a little more upscale than RBH with much more outside seating at the front entrance, near the street, and at the side (where we sat). Looks more suited for cocktails and wine, than food forward. The brunch menu is scaled down from RBH, but similar. I ordered the Chicken Omelette (omelette version of the Chicken Scramble at RBH, which I enjoyed the day before). It was noticeably smaller and less flavorful, but still was ok, though priced the same. Be prepared as a cup of coffee is $5. Yikes! We sat outside just after opening and hoping to have a beautiful relaxing breakfast. However, they seemed to have chosen a club like playlist from some pretty loud outdoor speakers, which felt very out of place, Maybe it was purposeful to get people revved up, but still, just felt off. Our server was warm, friendly and said some very kind things about the owner. She even told us how the restaurant got its name. Apparently there was a huge fire which destroyed several churches in the area and in 1881 this church was the first to be rebuilt. Saint 1881 pays homage to their roots. Very nice tribute. Our food took a little longer than expected since we were the only customers at the time, but not overly excessive. Between the beautiful outside seating, friendly service, interesting history, we will be back - maybe for cocktails or a nice glass of wine.

I sat at the bar where Mae very thoughtfully helped me navigate through the extensive been menu. I was very impressed at the selections! She brought me three tasters and, honestly, each of them were fantastic. It seems fitting that I chose a pint of Conflict of Interest in the midst of a difficult decision! The food menu is just as impressive. I'm certain anyone can find a favorite. I ordered the blackened chicken gnocchi and found myself in flavor heaven. I've made and eaten a lot of gnocchi and this is easily the best I've ever had. Mae agreed with me and suggested it's because there's cheese in those potato pillows. I dunno but I would eat this every day if I could. If I thought they'd keep, I'd buy extra and take some home. Meanwhile the bar crowd was friendly and chatty as we watched soccer on a few TVs. It was pretty chill, everyone just kicking back with great beer, tasty food and a worldwide sporting event. That said, I'm not waiting four years to come back!

Sat outside most recently and brought our toddler. She got to run around and explore. The fineapple cider on draft is my favorite and so refreshing. Menu wise has so many options. We went with the beer bites and cheese. The food cane out hot and the cheese is so good with the pretzels. The kids grilled cheese was a big size and tasty. Love the shoestring fries. So impressed with all of their drinks they make in house. Came another time for dinner with a friend to catch up. A large group took over the dining room. Stayed way past they were done with their food and drink. They stayed 5 hours and disrupted the restaurant. Our waitress gave us a small discount for how annoying these people were. She said staff were even over them.

The menu is vast and features a lot of traditional Irish inspired options and they are famous for their signature boxties. I recently had their Burrata Caprese salad and it was delicious! The tomatoes were fresh and the balsamic glaze was well balanced with the baby greens dressed in a light vinaigrette . For my drink I had the Dragonberry Mojito and it was refreshing, but could've been a little stronger. The staff was friendly, but service was a little slow and our waiter didn't check on us as often as we would've liked for water refills. I ordered the Irish potato skins and the corned beef is brown and crumbled like ground beef, which was not what I was expecting. Although I didn't order it this visit, I have enjoyed their donegal chips and dip. I'd be interested in attending a live music night in the future.

The location at Second and Main Street with open air dining on this beautiful June day in Michigan was very inviting. I took a seat in the dining room and was quickly greeted by a friendly server (Gabbi). I ordered the Salmon Sandwich which included a Teriyaki glaze and Asian slaw with a side of sweet potato fries and a Labatt pilsner draft which was served quickly in a cold pint glass which was enjoyable on a warm afternoon. The sandwich is a little sticky to eat, so maybe not on a date night unless you really want to be stuck with the person you're accompanied by, but it was very tasty and I would order again. Another lady was kind enough to drop off a special sauce to complement the sweet potato fries that was delicious. It seemed was a combination of yogurt, cream cheese and cinnamon possibly. The restaurant was about 30% full on this day in the early afternoon which made for an enjoyable quiet stop. It really reminded me of being Up North in Michigan on this day as this experience included several families enjoying time together on a beautiful Michigan afternoon in a nice downtown.

Had the appetizer steak bites which are very tasty (just wish there were more for the $18 price) and my husband had a burger which he loved, perfectly seasoned and an actual burger that was more than a 1/2 inch thick. I ordered fish and chips. It was probably some of the best I've ever had, lightly breaded but not the usual tempura batter (you know, the stuff you bite into and it's soft and white on the inside or completely falls off the fish). They were crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. We will definitely be going back there.
