Quick follow up. Happy to say La Colina is as good as ever. Went with friends last night. We all had the table-side Caesar to start...spot on. We had eggplant parm (my wife's favorite anywhere), gnocchi, strozzapretti Norcina and my personal favorite here the cacio e Pepe which is as great as any I have had in Italy. Such a simple dish yet few can make it properly. Highly recommended!

I went to this restaurant for the first time on a Saturday night to celebrate my birthday with my girlfriends. We had made reservations the day before.First thing that gets noticed is the beautiful ambience. There were fresh roses at each table. Next thing to note however was how long it took us to even place the drinks order. The restaurant was packed and the servers were spread a little too thin. Our server took our drink orders after around 15 mins and rushed off before we could add appetizers to the order. On the plus side she was quite polite and also apologetic for the delay in service Luckily we were in for a slow catching up dinner and didn't mind the delay too much. My friends liked the filet tips pasta and the Cacio e Peppe which comes highly recommended. Burrata Caprese and Pollo La Collina were good but not remarkable as such. For drinks, I had ordered the Cosmopolitan which was a bit syrupy for my taste. The dessert - Italian lemon cake was yummy and they gave it complimentary for my birthday :) For such a busy night, there was ample parking at the square. Overall it was a mixed experience but I may go back to give it another shot probably on a slow week day.

Celebrated my friends birthday here. Ambience was cozy, service was little slow but would not blame as it was operating at full capacity. We had drinks, burrata caprese in appetizer. I ordered cacio e peppe, had read good reviews about this dish, turned out well. Serving size was good as well. Ordered lemon cake in dessert and they made it complimentary for birthday. Overall enjoyable experience

Second time here and still so delicious. Cacio e Pepe is an absolute MUST. The chocolate soufflé at the end was also great!

It is indisputably the best restaurant in town. Ideal for groups, couples and singles. Took my wife here in October. We enjoyed the ambience, we appreciated staff's caring professionalism, and yes, we loved the food. Food was excellent. I had Filet Mignon. It is unassuming yet delightfully perfect. I observed the clientele that evening. A two beautifully dressed girls enjoying dinner before homecoming dance - a couple in their thirties escaping their toddlers, indulging in a meal prepared for them - a family of five asking for a bottle of wine, having great food, immersed in deep conversation - bartender surrounded with men and women full of energy. I highly recommend anyone visiting Main Street to venture north to try La Colina.

We thoroughly enjoyed our night at La Collina. Service was perfectly timed between seating all the way through dessert. We will be back. A few of our meals included. We also loved the calamari with shrimp and the beef carpaccio.

Fabulous dinner outside on the patio! Wonderful server, Fabio. It was like we were in Italy. The food was so fresh and delicious. In addition to the cacio e Pepe -the creamiest and freshest I've ever tasted-the buratta was just as delicious! WOW. Caesar salad, prepared tableside, did not disappoint. Highly recommend.

Everything tasted super fresh and the menu leans more "snacky" in the best possible way -- perfect little plates that are clearly meant to pair with wine. We ordered a few things for the table and it felt like the kind of place where you just keep ordering one more thing because everything sounds good. Nothing heavy, just really well done bites that let the wine shine. Speaking of wine, the selection is awesome. It's not the usual predictable restaurant list. There are some really interesting bottles and styles on there, which makes it fun if you actually enjoy trying different wines instead of just defaulting to the same thing every time. Service was great too. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming, and you can tell the owners are really hands-on and working hard to make the place special. That always makes a difference. And the ambiance... chef's kiss. Moody lighting, cozy, stylish but not pretentious. Just good vibes all around. It's the kind of spot you want to linger at with friends and a second bottle of wine. Already planning my next visit :)

I love the concept- wines from wineries around Michigan that usually we wouldn't even know about. Maybe they're way up north or wherever, but this place brings it right to the neighborhoods of Metro Detroit so you can try a few to see what you like. The flights were bit pricey, 3 of $16, but the pours were generous. I actually would've preferred half-pours if I could've tried three more instead for that price. I didn't find anything I couldn't live without, but my wife and I each ordered 3 different wines in our flights, so we could actually both try 6. Therefore, we went with 6 dry reds, because that's what she drinks. I liked a few of them. I'd definitely return to try some more. A good date night. This is the second location we've tried, Shelby Township being the other.

You could also get a glass of wine or a bottle (corking fee is $12). I feel the prices are somewhat high for tasting and bottles. Lots of seating inside and some outside seating. Public parking parking lot very close by. They have some food and you can order paninis from the brewery next door.
