I see 2 different locations of Hamlin Pub in Rochester Hills so I'm posting this on both because this is a very serious matter that the public needs to know about and be handled immediately. Are you guys going to respond to the alleged sexual predator issue going on with your head manager Jacob Wutka or what? A post (the text in quotes below) is circulating around, there are plenty of comments from past employees corroborating your guys hiring of and keeping predators employed and these comments talk about this issue being existent years ago. Time to address this regardless of what is going on. You cannot run from this. We will not let it happen. The circulating post: "Meet Jake. Jake is a current registered child registered sex offender who is a current employee at the Hamlin Pub in the downtown Rochester area. Jake was charged with having sensually charged contact with a minor under the age of 18. Jake was involved some time back in a sting operation ran by none other than Chris Hansen, which led to his initial charges and current status as a child sex offender. As a former employee of hamlin pub who worked closely with Jake for the last couple of months without any knowledge of his past crimes, I am very well informed by the fact that, since he is employed as a head manager at this Hamlin Pub location, has minors from high-school around the surrounding area (adams, rochester, stoney creek) currently working and employed under his care. Even though I gave them 3 stars, I still do recommend Hamlin Pub because it's a good location, they have good food, large beer selection and lots of screens. I had the smash burger which was very good and juicy. Service is always pretty good there. But on this visit my server overcharged me for 2 things: the burger was supposed to be on special during a game, and I asked for broccoli instead of fries which I got, but was charged $3 for the broccoli. I unfortunately did not notice it till I got home. Just be sure to check your bill before you pay and leave. read more

Went to lunch with some friends. Had an area reserved for us. I ordered the Pub Club it was rather bland. The tomatoes were pale in color. The bacon was crisp at least. The fries were crisp. Walking in, it immediately felt like we were an inconvenience. Both the host and who appeared to be the manager were at the host stand but took quite a while to acknowledge us and even then, the manager didn't greet us at all. Once seated, our waitress seemed less than enthusiastic to serve us. As a minority couple, we couldn't help but wonder if that played a part in how we were treated. Well, went back to try again. Our server was great and the food was good...but they overcharged us! When I brought it up to the server, she said it's $8.99 but I showed her the menu that said $7.99. She didn't do anything! I flagged down the manager who was walking by and brought it up to him he said the price went up, I said it's against the law to advertise one price and charge another, he said "fine if you want a dollar I get you a dollar" , no apology or anything! If I could give 0 stars i would. On Jan. 14. 2026, my three year old daughter and I 5 and a half months pregnant walked into the hamlin pub at 5:50 and walked out at 6:35. After not being greeted, drink order taken, served, NOTHING. I had to flag down someone who finally walked by our table, and ask for a waiter or waitress. To which they came over with two other people and told me it was going to be another minute as they were trying to find my server. They did how ever ask what we would like to drink, but at that point we wanted to eat not just get a drink. After 45 minutes of no one coming to our table, me asking for a waiter, i decided to pack up my toddler and leave.... I have had some bad service before but this exceeds anything I've ever dealt with. My SIL called the place for me (as i was to upset to) after the incident and spoke to a manager named Kyra, to which she informed me her hostess have been gone for a while, and she was behind the bar and didn't even notice ie our table. Which a couple points I have to make on this. If your hostess have been "gone for a while" and they are the ones who sat us, think of how long we were waiting. And two as a manager, you should know every guest and table in that place. I cant even give you the grace of saying you were busy, because it was a snow storm, and there were people at the bar and then three other tables besides me. Maybe it was the pregnancy hormones, or maybe i was just overly hungry and beyond done but my toddler and I walked out of that place still hungry, and both crying. I've been a fan of the other locations of the Hamlin Pub and I finally got a chance to try this newer location for dinner on a Saturday evening. If your looking for consistently solid bar fare (hamburgers,sandwiches,salads, and pizza) you've come to the right place. Their fish and chips is some of the best you'll find anywhere. I ordered the Cajun penne pasta (added grilled chicken) and it was outstanding. Wonderful garlicky cream sauce along with the Cajun spiced chicken...very good. Had a rough day, decided I wanted to decompress, have a beer and a bite. I decided to try the New Location of Hamlin Pub, great decision! It's in the old location of Bar Louie in Rochester, Michigan. I walked in, loved the decor, was immediately greeted by a smiling bartender, Rachel. I sat at the bar (I love to chitchat), the group next to me had ordered food, their orders came out and everything looked delicious and picture read!!!!!! We decided to stop in for a quick bite and drink on a Thursday early evening. It was pretty busy! Snagged a couple seats at the bar right away. We were greeted almost immediately by Patrick, as well as another bartender after he took drink order. SO many TVs!! It's awesome. Honestly nothing that special. This was my first time there. I had the chicken dumpling stew to start and the buffalo chicken sliders. The stew was amazing but I have to say the sliders were beyond disappointing. They were literally a half of chicken tender covered in what seemed to be franks red hot and put on a stale bun. There was some sad and floppy lettuce shavings to "dress it up" but if anything made it worse. There was no cheese no pickles no anything. It was SO bad. On top of it the fries were cold and they didn't give the pickle it said it came with until I asked. Others in our parties pasta was cold enough to consider sending back. Another member of our table really enjoyed the southwest chicken salad. Overall the service was good! Came back plenty of times and got all of the things the kitchen forgot (soup, pickles, side dressings) without getting annoyed. I liked the patio and the atmosphere. BEWARE OF CARRYOUT FEES. I am working in the area and needed a quick carryout lunch. I ordered onion rings and a bowl of chicken dumpling stew. When I arrived, the bartender gave me my receipt (see photo) and went to the kitchen to get my order. For each item, I was charged $0.85. EACH ITEM!!Then taxed on top of all those fees. I asked the bartender why were fees attached to each item. I was told it was new and manager said it may increase. I was not informed of fees when I called to order and it's not on their website. I contemplated walking out without the food. I'm not a food delivery service. I just wanted a quick lunch. Why am I being penalized for doing carryout when all the patrons eating there are not? Came here while in town for the Detroit Marathon. Decided to stop in to watch the Lions game and refuel after the race. My SIL mentioned Hamlin's had some yummy veggie options, which is why we gave it a try. Sort of wished we hadn't... Don't get me wrong, it was a sports bar vibe, so you can't expect too much, especially during Sunday football, but we did expect more than we got. Seeing as the game was on, we figured we would have to wait a while for service, but the wait inbetween our waitress coming to check on us, take our order, return with things we had asked for, etc seemed a bit outrageous. At one point I think we asked for an empty glass three times and still had to walk over to the bar ourselves. The food wasn't anything to write home about. Come to find out the menu was updated about a week prior and they dropped all of their flat breads (which my SIL recommended). I got the garlic fries (weird... didn't seem to have much of a garlic flavor and it was just a drizzle of an aioli instead of actual garlic), hubby had the mac and cheese and a side salad, best friend had the sliders. SIL was meeting us, so we tried to place an order for her while she was on her way - which is when we found out the flat breads were gone. Then we tried to order her mac and cheese and were told my hubby's half portion was the last of the mac and cheese they had... She finally went with the veggie spring rolls. Now, I know what you're thinking, you gotta expect some of this from a pub during a football game, which is absolutely true, but what I did NOT expect or appreciate was being lied to by our waitress. My hubby and best friend both ordered a beer before dinner. Our waitress said that if they both wanted to drink the same kind of beer that she had a better deal for them. My hubby said "a pitcher" and she ignored him. They decided on Modelo and then she brought out a TOWER OF BEER - like 100 ounces! We were all shocked. How could 100 ounces of beer be cheaper than two glasses?! Once we were able to flag her down, we asked about this. She said that if both of them were going to get 3 short beers, that would've been $36 and the tower was only $32. We explained that they were NOT going to each order three beers, only one each, but she just laughed it off, said she wasn't good at math and walked away. Very disappointing. Ordered the French onion soup crock. Basically they put a whole bowl of croutons and poured the soup over it . Once i went to dig in , it was a bowl full of mush. Not soupy at all. I didn't even eat it and told the waitress how horrible it was . We ordered the nachos and honestly didn't even know you could make these bad . Just overall the meat tasted gross , they tried to add spice to make flavor which wasn't good. The white cheese had no flavor . All the topping were only in the middle. Here is a delightful place that does not have the standard bar food. They offer a plethora of different kinds of foods from sandwiches to pizzas, soft pretzels, different soups salads, meat, chicken and fish. The ambiance is not one would expect from a sports bar. They are clean and have a nice friendly staff. Their prices are reasonable and have numerous televisions throughout the place. Much like Cheers Hamlin Pub is where everybody knows your name, or at least the bartenders do after multiple introductions. They cheerfully greet everyone upon entry in a nice if not a bit corporate guideline sort of way and then ask your name when you're seated. I get it ish but I think they lay it on a bit thick. Maybe it's my East coast roots but trust me if it's good we'll get to know each others names over time. Ok that aside the place was pretty busy, and it's a cool if cavernous spot. Menu is pub + fare. My sliders were excellent, with onion and pickles in the side. The fries were limp and coated with faux crunch that didn't help. Why places just can't deep fry plain old potatoes to make french fries is beyond me. Ok so it's new I'm old and I would have preferred a lower key approach. Also some business people might not want it broadcast to the restaurant that they're there!! All that aside I'm sure a lunch or night out with the fam would be just fine.
