My 6 year old had a one on one training today with Brandon Z at the newly remodeled Perris Raceway. "Brandon is good and I like riding with him. I like jumping. I would do just about anything to get my 16-year old son away from PC games. For months, my boy had been nagging me to look into dirt bike training lessons for him. Finally, I caved and started calling around. (Note: It's not very easy to find lessons for people under 18!) Another for riding school for adults in the area had recommended me to Sean. Sean was very professional and helped walk me through the process of signing my son up. I felt prepared for the day to come! (Side note: you will need to pay a vehicle entry fee if you are going to the Lake Elsinore track.) Sean paired my son up with Dayton Briggs, who at just a year older than my son, had about 13-14 years of experience. He was really good with my son! He was very funny and patient and broke everything down easily and used techniques to keep my son safe at all times. By the end of the session, my son was on a manual-clutch dirt bike riding around and having the time of his life! This was awesome to witness, especially because my son had never ridden anything but a bicycle in his life! Since then we've had several more sessions and are riding with Ray once or twice a month. The kids improved by leaps and bounds, I can't keep up with them any more. I just rented a KTM 450 from Sean for my son for the World Vet Motocross championship, and I couldn't be happier, the bike was very well prepped, ice chest full of water, tent and chairs to stay out of the weather. Having private lessons through SLMX has been a game changer. My confidence and skill level has increased greatly. At first I was a little intimidated by my bike, but after hours of training with SLMX I feel way more comfortable riding.The amount of time we are able to go into the specific details of riding has helped a great deal. First thing is my son is 16 and has never rode a dirt bike in his life. Except Christmas morning when his dad was making him familiarize himself with his new bike. His dad had purchased a 3 hour lesson with Kevin. This was the best thing he could have done. Kevin was very knowledgeable and he went at my sons pace. He would give my son breaks and consistently ask how he felt on the bike and would push him a little farther as time went on. Kevin kept telling us how great he was doing . I found SLMX when I was looking for anybody that would rent a Motocross bike. I was surprised and happy to see that SLMX had a variety of current motocross bikes to choose from. I chose a 2020 KTM450 online added to the cart and checked out for future date. Sean contacted me to set up a time to meet at Glen Helen raceway. They texted me the day before and the morning of, that they were set up and waiting for me to arrive. Sean is super friendly and helpful, very professional. He went over the bike asked me my experience and let me go; the bike was almost new and awesome. The renal was $250 for 4 hours, which is more then enough time. I had a great time and would recommend SLMX if you are new and never ridden a Motocross bike or old like me and have ridden a lot in the past. It was a blast! read more

My son Caleb was at Glen Helen the other week with the sloppiest lines, andnnotnthe greatest techniquento begin with as a brand new rider on the track. My wife and I figured let's take it up with the Pros. We met the next week at State Fair MX with Trainer Austin with SLMX. He went over the basics with Caleb such as Body Positioning and where to look at in a turn. They got him on the track soon after. Austin was able to asses what he needed to work on after a few laps. Pulled him off to side a few times to explain to him a few things just so that Caleb gets the picture. A few sessions in Austin rolled out the Yamaha TTR and was riding around with Caleb on the Peewee track and showing him the lines. Closer to the end of the session, Caleb was riding around by himself along side a few kids practicing the for Sevens Mini Major event the week following. My husband found SLMX and told me our son would be having a lesson because he wants to start riding dirt bikes. Our son is only 6.5 years old and let me start by saying that his instructor Todd was truly the most kind, knowledgeable, beyond kid friendly, and just overall an amazing guy that we could have asked for. He took the time to teach and explain everything to my son in a way that a child could understand and register and it showed throughout the entire lesson because our son did an amazing job! You never know what to expect when you have your child learning something new with a complete stranger because you don't know that person and your putting all your trust into them. I can say with all my heart that Todd made sure we didn't even have to question that one bit he just bonded so well with our son and made the whole experience such a joy that we are already planning to come back for more lessons with him. No question a 5 star for this crew. I am a new rider. I had only been on a bike a few times before today's outing. I met with one of the trainers at the track his name was BRIAN. My lesson was at 9 am. I was there early and he pulled into the track not too far behind me. He was prompt and very friendly. He was very open and easy to talk to and asked me about my experience etc. He was an excellent teacher. He went over shifting, body position, speed and rules of the track. He was 100% safety first! I had a great time. I left the track feeling like I learned some really great skills that will stay with me for as long as I continue to ride. I paid $575 for four hours. That included bike, full gear and a 4 hr lesson. It was 100% worth the money!! I will be going back in a few weeks FOR SURE!! It doesn't matter if you are brand new or super experienced.
