The instructor teacher Moises repeatedly helped me keep my elbows high and my hand on the correct side of the wheel. He taught me how to turn at an intersection without braking and how to park inside the lines while parking. He taught me how to merge into the bike lane before turning into a street. IE Driving Academy is definitely 10/10! They honestly changed my life. This review is long overdue. I took lessons with them from December 2020 to January 2021. TL;DR: IE Driving Academy transformed an anxious nervous wreck who cried frequently from the frustrations of driving, into someone who passed the driving test and can happily drive on the freeway without tears now. Before taking driving lessons with IE Driving Academy, I was an absolutely anxious and fearful learner for years. Failed my driving test 3 previous times, had to keep retaking the permit test for 5 years since I kept failing! I tried other instructors, driving with family, driving with friends, driving in parking lots, yet kept falling short of passing my test. My entire academic life had not prepared me for the mechanical capability of driving. I had no idea how I would get employed after college or face adulthood without the skill of driving. I'd dread when job interviews would ask, "Do you have reliable transportation to work?", and I could not answer. I was at the point where I thought I could never drive and even considered moving somewhere with trains and buses. Read the reviews on Yelp and decided to try out IE Driving Academy. They taught me everything from the ground up! I had lessons with Chris, Moises, and one other instructor, and all of them were able to explain things in easy-to-understand terms. They went over all the basics and beyond, left/right turning, u-turns, traffic lights, traffic patterns, signs, steering, changing lanes, speed, reversing, parking, and even drew out ACTUAL TECHNICAL DRAWINGS AND DIAGRAMS. Did I mention parallel parking?! They also take you around the DMV to practice multiple areas, different exits/entrances, prepare you what to expect on the drive test, which was absolutely the best help. They were so patient, encouraging, calm, supportive, and their expert guidance and advice was priceless. In just several lessons, I went from being terrified to drive around the block, to being confident enough to drive on the freaking freeway. Had lessons during the pandemic, instructors were equipped with face masks, hand sanitizer, wipes, and prioritized students' safety. The office staff, Brandy, was also very helpful and patient in scheduling and setting up appointments. She even emailed me a detailed pricing and payment breakdown and lesson plan dates/times to keep track of everything! Great customer service. :) Call them. No regrets. I've already referred them out a few times. I hated driving, still am nervous sometimes, but I finally FINALLY passed my driving test on the 4th try thanks to IE Driving Academy!!
