My hubby and I have gone back to SoCal Supermoto a couple more times since our first visit in 2024. They have since relocated to Apex Kart Racing out in Perris, CA, and it's been an upgrade. Brian, the owner, and his team of instructors and staff, are just the best people to be around and learn from. I am always a beginner who is full of anxiety, and there is no judgment here! The track and dirt section has evolved over time since they permanently transitioned to Apex. The dirt area is now completely integrated with the road track, and there's even a more beginner-friendly section in the dirt that Brian and the team carved out. If you're a more anxious (like me) or beginner rider who wants less people, I suggest booking the semi-private days. They are a bit more expensive, but totally worth it because there are far fewer people during the class. The structure of the day is just like how it's always been (class time, track time, class time, track time, class time, pizza time, track time, class time, swag time, track time). The restrooms here are still difficult for ladies wearing full suits. Make sure you wear thin under layers so that it's easier to get in and out of your suit if you want to take it off to use the restroom. Having a moto license is not required, but unless you want to be miserable, you really need some sort of riding experience. They have mostly DRZ 400s, but they also offer a good selection of bikes for shorter riders. You're guaranteed a good time here unless you choose to do something stupid. read more

Cannot recommend Socal Supermoto enough! I heard about this place from MotoJitsu and decided to road trip from the Bay Area down here for a class. I had so much fun that I want to go back for another class now! Everyone will learn something new and have fun doing it, guaranteed! It's located at Adams Motorsports Park in Riverside. Be careful turning in as it's a huge intersection and when it gets busy, watch out for other cars. It's a long unpaved dirt road down to the parking lot where you sign in at the shop to receive your wristband. Tell em you're for Socal Supermoto class and then you can head on through the gates towards the bungalow. Brian is an amazing coach that puts a huge emphasis on safety. He isn't joking either; crashing early in the day will get you to sit out the next session. Doing so, the main message he wants to convey is to have fun on motorbikes but have fun doing it. Regardless if you're a seasoned supermoto or dirt rider, or one completely new to supermoto (me), Brian is very friendly and inviting. His instructions are clear, concise, and one can tell his passion for riding through his jokes and camaraderie. I learned a lot about supermoto riding that can be applied to my street riding. The lessons learned help one build confidence in their own riding and these skills can be transferred even on the street, such as in low traction scenarios like oil spills, puddles, or rain. For a little bit over $300 for a full day on the track, bikes and gas provided, free rental gear, and included lunch? It's a steal folks! Not to mention the cool photos they take for you, which are all free! Brian uses these photos to provide specific rider tips and point out improvement points for everyone. Now At Apex Motorsports!!!! First time coming out for a lesson and I sure am glad I did. Brian the owner and one of the instructors, is an awesome guy, super chill and knowledgable. Very good at cracking jokes and making everyone feel included even if they did something kinda stupid. Both him and Krino, another instructor, were extremely helpful on and off track. The onsite mechanics were also great (even if you brought them a bike you bunged up). They provided lunch and free swag at the end of the day. The track experience was great, after every session they give you something to work on then send you "right" back out to go work on it. In the afternoon they opened up the dirt section. This is not a beginner level dirt track, if you have no prior experience it will be very difficult, but its still super fun even if you can't keep the bike upright. They provide free gear and bikes. The gear is not fitted and they don't make any promises if your size will be there. If you have normal street gear with pads that was totally fine for me personally, and I went down a couple of times. The biggest thing is the boots, if you don't own a pair, go down to a shop and find your size so when you get down there you can try to find some, street shoes are not recommended since ankle injuries are very common especially on the dirt. If you are a more inexperienced rider like I was, go for a smaller bike, personally I rode the KLX and it was a bit much, it also dose not crash very well, the TTR is your best bet if its your first time. The restrooms are 2 metal boxes, not quite porta potties but similar in nature, when I was there one of them had its door stuck so we could only use one most of the time. I am sure this will be fixed as they get more accustomed to the new space they are using. The main problem I had was that when I went they had no track map of either the asphalt or the dirt. On the asphalt it was ok since we did a follow the leader and it was pretty simple. However the same can not be said for the dirt, going in basically blind was not the most confidence inspiring thing in the world, even a walkthrough would have made a worlds difference. I would recommend this course to anyone who is looking to improve any kind of riding at all, everyone was super friendly and awesome, the price was right at just around $300-400 for bikes, lunch, swag, and a solid 8 hour day. And also some pretty awesome free pics. One thing to keep in mind is if you go down on the track they will sit you out until they feel you are ready to go back out, they are more lenient on the dirt section unless you do something really stupid. It's a you break you buy mentality, so if you break a part when you go down you've got to pay for the replacement before you leave. But ultimately, just keep it upright!! read more

Normally you'd have to invest in gear, and a bike - truck it to the track and figure it out. The fact that they're able to provide gear and bikes and basic instruction at low cost is a huge value to our community. The training is introductory , if you're looking or more experienced then you may try private lessons with one of the local coaches. Around the track, they have "x" which designate the turning points , and help new students find the lines. We also have a dedicated Mini crew, who many are former students. So people who are interested in community can transition from the class to becoming a local rider. Writing this in behalf of my husband. This place is located somewhat near UC Riverside. My husband made an appointment and it's pretty much an all-day riding class(?). When I dropped him off, first thing that I saw was a lot of dirt and a mid-sized track that I think they not only use for bike riding but also for kart riding. One thing to keep in mind if you do sign up and end up going is to try not to drop one of their bikes. If you do, you sit out on one of their lessons (I believe there's a total of 8) and you join in on the next lesson. He absolutely loved it and is planning on going back again. I took a semi-private class and it was great. It was my first time on a track and first time doing supermoto. I found myself as the lone AFAB student in a pack of swinging Richards all with previous supermoto experience and most of whom had also ridden the track the day before. Any woman/AFAB person knows the drill, dudes in general and certainly moto dudes in a pack, can often be gaslight central. Which is hella distracting to say the least. So why was the class great? Coach Krino. He recognized my situation, pulled me aside and told me two things: 1) the group of dudes that I as a beginner was riding with was one of the fastest groups they had seen in a while. 2) I paid my money and I get to ride too. Where another instructor might have just ignored the noob and appeased the swinging Richards. Krino gave me encouragement and great tips for improvement throughout the day. I rode my line, learned a TON, and had a blast. I'll def comeback to learn more. read more

I absolutely love Socal Supermoto. I was introduced to Supermoto a few years ago and this school has helped me develop my skills to become a safer and better rider. They have bikes for you to ride, gear, instruction and take pictures of you to see your body position. The instructors give you individual instruction. I was worried about clearing the doubles and had one of the instructors tow me in. I cleared the double with no issues. I've taken this class a few times and learn new things everytime. It's fun and well worth the money spent. Now, I have a suzuki DRZ400SM of my own, but I sign up for a class on occasion with friends that I have encouraged to take the class. A terrific experience if you're either a) looking for some low stress fun on a motorcycle, and/or b) trying to get better at riding. 5 stars doesn't describe how satisfied I am with my experience, I'll certainly be back If you have the option, I'd recommend looking for the "no karts/moto only" days as it was great to have the track mostly to our selves (there were a handful of fast riders we alternated on the track with). We also had the benefit of only 7 riders in the group (it was hot af), so the level of instruction we got was fantastic, although it would have been fine with double the number. If you're worried about track time, don't be. Everyone in my class called it a day by 3pm they were so tired, despite the fact they could have gotten as many more laps in as they desired before the track closed at 5 Listen, don't go to this thinking it's the same as California Superbike School or other high end class. There are reasons it costs less than half as much: the bikes have seen their fair share of thrashing, there isn't a stable of instructors, the facilities aren't fancy, etc etc. But despite all those things, the amount of learning you can do is massive, and you can have more fun (all at the same time!). I would highly recommend anyone serious about getting better at riding does both advanced track riding courses & supermoto school, each improving the rider in different ways Even after just 1 class day, I know I'm a better rider on the street (and will be the next time I'm on track). If you dont know what a Supermotard bike is, it's when you take a normal dirt bike and put on big wide sticky tires and race it on a track that's normally for cars or sportbikes. I have been looking for something like this for some time and I was so excited to find this place. Brian runs the show and he is a super cool guy with an excellent approach to teaching motorcycle skill. It's a very non intimidating, laid back environment that makes it actually a blast to go out and ride the track. I have been riding for 20 years and I was able to hit the track on their bikes and I was learning new things within just a few laps. I cannot say enough good things about this. The price is good, the bikes are well set up and ready to slide, Brian is a super nice guy and makes it fun for everyone. Not only that, he goes out and takes pictures! So the next day you'll get an email with a bunch of pics from the day at the track....all the pictures I have posted, he took. Seriously, if you are still a new rider and want to learn some new things in a controlled environment, this is perfect. I'm not gonna lie- I'm hooked. My first time out at Supermoto, about half the day I felt nervous and antsy. Brian's patient instruction with personalized suggestions for each rider was so helpful, and by the time we hit the dirt in the afternoon, I felt pretty good. The ultimate came the other day though, when Socal Supermoto offered LADIES ONLY DAY. That's right- women only. It was such a great experience, and I truly hope they offer this again. I feel like, as promised, my street riding skill has increased, I've learned something every time, and I've had a great time. They keep adding bikes and fixing up the older ones (looks like they have a bunch of new techs since some of these older reviews were posted)- and the minis are super fun too! FYI- they offer a group rate for 4 or more riders if you book together, and they'll even do private track days if you work it out. I've already invited a ton of out of town friends and will definitely keep doing this. It really is a good value for the money (track fee, bike, pics, t shirt, and class included- plus gear rental if you don't happen to have any, which I find kinda gross but whatever). I've done at least 4 days at Socal Supermoto. I can't recommend it enough. I've been riding for 46 years and I still pick up new things every time I do a day there. It's really improved my off road skills even though I'm more of a off road rider than street. Brian sets the perfect tone for the day, fun but always keeping and eye everyone, schooling everybody during the between sessions. The three of us did an asphalt only day with Stuart Smith and had a blast. The atmosphere is relaxed, the lessons progressively add on things to do and above all, you have more than enough riding time to practice it all. If all of that is too much for you, enjoy being lapped by the track regulars or watching Stu take corners one-handed demonstrating to you why a clutch and rear brakes are overrated (disclaimer: do as he says, not as he does). Stay for the end to ride the mini's, ask the instructors "anything" and help clean up. Pro tip: Bring extra water and get to know your classmates so you can get more out of the day. read more

Brian and the other guest instructor were both nice guys but some key issues almost ruined a day that could have been a lot better. Sharing the track with the go karts almost ruined the experience. They got way more track time than the supermoto bikes and the extended period of waiting caused the already crappy tires to cool down to a point where you were really wanting for more traction. The bikes were in varying states of disarray. One bike had a severe rear wheel wobble and caused a crash. This is lazy maintenance at best and negligent at worst. The last issue is subjective but the other riders were mostly experienced, which caused some of us newbies to feel intimated on the track. For others - this isn't really a class. It's more of a trial by fire introduction to riding an ill maintained DRZ on a go kart track. read more

Hands down, one of the funnest days I have ever had on a motorcycle. You split time with the karts, but you need to rest anyway. You ride their bikes, and you can ride them as hard as you please. Don't worry about if you'll get adequate riding time. The majority of riders bail before the riding is over, because they are worn out. Regarding instruction, don't expect a ton of personal evaluation of your riding style. There are instruction session and you have plenty of opportunities to ask questions. The instruction emphasis is right where it needs to be. It is about picking the best line. You walk the track and turn entries, apexes, and exits are reviewed. And those are the points you need to hit to make your best lap times. Cones and duct tape help you to remember. I would gladly attend again. read more

This class was outstanding! The instructor was great, bikes were setup well, and the track was a blast. I think he could be charging twice as much as he does for this service and would probably still get plenty of customers. HIghly recommend this to anyone that knows how to ride a motorcycle. You do not have to be a racer or even a great rider. Just know how.. This is a blast for newbs or people with lots of experience.. on a side note: I bought a t-shirt while I was there and that thing is a CHIC MAGNET!
