My son had his first driving lesson today, his instructor was Giovanni. He had a great experience because Giovanni was professional and respectful to him. We will definitely book our next sessions with him. Thank you Giovanni for your help and patience and for answering all his questions. read more

My sons instructor was very professional and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend scheduling as soon as possible cause they seemed to be booked up a couple months out. Since we live in 29 Palms we have to meet the instructor out in Yucca Valley. read more

Do Not Trust Miller's Driving Academy--They Set Students Up to Fail and Refuse Accountability Miller's Driving Academy in Palm Desert has been the worst experience we could have imagined. They charge premium rates and provide incompetent instruction that cost my daughter her chance to pass her DMV test. We paid $420 for three lessons, thinking my daughter would be well-prepared. Instead, their instructor gave her blatantly incorrect information about one of the key parts of her DMV test--a right turn from Kenner Ave onto Jackson, where there's a narrow bike lane before the main traffic lane. The instructor told her to pull into the bike lane first before merging into the main lane and had her practice this move 9 to 10 times during her lessons. My daughter even questioned this instruction, but the instructor insisted this was the correct and legal way to pass the test. Well, it wasn't. My daughter failed her DMV test because the bike lane isn't even a legal driving lane! Miller's instructor trained her to fail, and when we brought this to their attention, they refused to take any responsibility. The owner wouldn't even call us back--we could only speak with his admin, who offered no solution other than a discounted additional lesson. This dismissive and condescending response was a slap in the face after we already spent hundreds of dollars on training that sabotaged my daughter's test. Their refusal to admit fault or make things right shows they don't care about their students or their success. What makes this even worse is the emotional toll on my daughter. She's 16 years old and worked incredibly hard to prepare for this test, only to have her excitement turn to devastation because of bad advice from a driving school. Now we're stuck waiting two more weeks to retake the test, paying the DMV again, and trying to rebuild her confidence after this completely avoidable failure. This is more than just bad service--it's negligence. Miller's Driving Academy provides incorrect instruction, refuses to take responsibility, and shows no regard for the students they claim to serve. They're unprofessional, unapologetic, and untrustworthy. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Miller's Driving Academy will waste your time, money, and your child's hard work. read more

My daughter passed her behind-the-wheel driving test recently, thanks to Miller's Driving Academy! Thomas has been great and really helpful. My daughter liked his calm demeanor and he gives recognition when it is due. He guides his students on the important things to remember for the actual test, so my daughter was confident and relaxed on the day of the test. Thank you and more power to your company! read more

We have used Millers for both of my sons to get their license. Although the communication for our appointments and the rules changing wasn't always clear and having to pay in cash only seems odd. I can't say enough how kind, patient and what an excellent instructor Mike is. He completely made my son feel at ease and confident in his driving abilities. He was by far the best instructor that we had with Millers. read more

took two days & two messages to get a call back. already found another company. non responsive; would not use them.

She passed first try . read more

Terrible School--They Taught My Daughter to Fail Miller's Driving Academy completely let my daughter down. She took three lessons, costing $140 each, to prepare for her DMV test. The instructor taught her to pull into the narrow bike lane when making a right turn from Kenner Ave onto Jackson, even making her practice it 9 to 10 times. He insisted this was correct, even after she questioned him. When she questioned this, he even went as far as to explain to her that once you get into Indio, the lanes just get narrower, as his explanation for her questioning of the narrow looking lane. In fact their first time practicing this route she instinctively turned into the CORRECT lane and he immediately "corrected" her and told her if she did not first turn into the narrower, bike lane, she would get points deducted. When she followed his instructions during her DMV test, she failed because driving in the bike lane is illegal. This wasn't a small mistake--it was repeated, incorrect training that led directly to her failure. The owner refuses to take responsibility and won't even speak with us. We were left dealing with an admin who brushed it off and only offered a discounted lesson. After spending $420, this response is unacceptable. The instructor clearly now knows he gave bad instruction which one would obviously not own up to. What's worse is how much this hurt my daughter. She worked so hard to pass her test, only to fail because of bad advice. Now we have to wait two weeks, pay another fee, and rebuild her confidence. Do not trust Miller's. They teach incorrect methods, refuse to own their mistakes, and show no concern for their students' success. read more

Great school, professional office staff. My son was treated well and learned from a competent instructor.

Parent review: I HIGHLY recommend millers driving academy as they were always on time, friendly, and reliable. Their cost is also very reasonable. Student review: Millers has some amazing instructors. My instructor, Giovanni, was extremely patient, attentive, and helpful. I was often nervous, but I able to remain calm and focused while driving because of his patience. read more

Although I still would recommend Miller's, we had a lot of issues with communication and even the driver running over an hour late with no communication what so ever. A lot of texts confirming the wrong days and times. I don't know what happened towards the end there but they need to get it together. read more

My African American son had a lesson in March. A number of inappropriate things happened during this lesson. However, the most concerning issue that occurred is that the instructor called my son the "N Word" twice during his instructional drive. The instructor also told him how to look at his phone so that no one could tell. My son was also instructed to drive on the freeway. This was his first driving lesson and first time behind the wheel. I informed the administrative staff of the incident and received the attached nonsensical response. read more

Avoid a DMV driving test failure for your child and look elsewhere for driving instructions. Millers Driving Academy repeatedly instructed my granddaughter incorrect turning and lane merging instructions by having her turn into a bike lane. When my granddaughter questioned this repeatedly, the instructor verified this egregious information as correct which caused her to fail her DMV driving exam. This left my granddaughter devasted and a major blow to her confidence. To add insult to injury, the owner of this business will not answer to calls or take ownership for this error. Do yourself a favor and look around for another driving school and avoid a devasting blow to your child's confidence, not to mention $140 per lesson that they refuse to refund. read more

Absolutely a great experience! My son had 2 great instructors: Larry and Mike. They took him through the steps to get a 100% on his test and taught him how to be a safe and good driver. Millers made the whole process so easy. read more

He's just starting to venture out on his own and I'm glad he got this instruction beforehand. Highly recommend for new drivers *bonus: they come all the way out to 29 Palms! read more

Millers is an outstanding driving school. I have 2 students who went through them. Kim is amazing and super friendly. Mike at Millers Driving Academy was fantastic! He thoroughly prepared my daughter for her behind the wheel test by telling her everything she would be tested on and taking her through two practice routes. He was very detail oriented. My daughter had her first two lessons with a different school and there was a marked difference between the instruction. We wholeheartedly recommend Millers. read more

We recently moved to CA and needed to get our CA driving licenses. We were looked after by Kim in the office who was amazing and got us booked in straight away. We had lessons with Giovanni and Ernie. Both had different but complementary styles, throughout we felt like we were in excellent hands and were made to feel confident and assured. We did two lessons each before taking our tests and both passed first time. Kim even came to the test centre and oversaw the checkin process and interaction with the DMV. We cannot Recomemd this company enough. read more

Amazing driving school! Thomas when above and beyond and made sure to teach me every little detail! Passed with no corrections at the DMV!

I have used our other local driving in school in the past and was going to use it for my new driver but this place blew them out of the water with their amazing customer service! Not only did they respond to all my calls, they also had flexibility with the trainer my daughter was comfortable with. Thomas was knowledgeable and gave my kid the best advice. They practiced things I had forgot and even repeated the test route to ensure she was successful. A big thanks for this team who ensured my little girl not only passed but walked away with some great knowledge of the road! read more

I called this morning to inquire about driving lessons for my teen. Kim was very courteous and then she asked me what city I lived in. I told her Indio and the conversation continued. I asked how far out she was scheduling students and she stated she was scheduling out a couple of weeks. She said, "you guys must have all gotten your government checks at the same time because everyone wants to be scheduled at the same time" the conversation continued and I thanked her and told her I will call back with more information regarding my teens' permit, but honestly that comment didn't sit well with me. It was offensive and degrading. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I needed to find a driving school in the Palm Springs area to finish the driving portion of my CA drivers licence. I took a chance on the internet, found Miller's Driving School and what a wise choice that was. Kim in the office is great. Kim organised everything right from the start, set up times, appointment with the DMV etc, took all the stress away. Greg's the Bossman, a really nice guy, knows his stuff. Greg picked me up each day from my hotel and dropped me back, so no need to go finding their office, they come to you. Greg takes you around the suggested driving route and shows you all the potential obstacles. They supply the car for the test and Greg goes with you to the DMV, so dont even think about stressing out, these guys are good, very good !! A big thanks to the team at Millers !! read more

Outstanding coaching by Greg! My husband passed his DMV road test today. $60 for an hour driving lesson, a fair price.
