Is there an option to leave zero stars?…read more I spent over $5,000 on flooring that was sold with a "lifetime warranty." After installation, I started noticing multiple cracks, eventually up to ten across the floor, so I filed a warranty claim. I followed their entire process, including having an inspector come out, only to receive a report that made no sense. The claim was denied based on "improper installation," specifically stating the flooring was installed flush to the baseboards. That's simply not true. A proper half-inch expansion gap was left, exactly as outlined in the installation guidelines. Frankly, once they sent out their inspector, it became clear the outcome was predetermined. Instead of standing behind their product, they looked for any reason to deny the claim, and they found one. What's most frustrating is that I had flooring installed in the same home, using the same method, for five years without a single issue. The only thing that changed was the product color and brand, which strongly suggests this is a product defect, not an installation problem. Bottom line, don't put much faith in the "lifetime warranty." In my experience, it doesn't mean much, and the company will not stand behind their product when it matters. The flooring brand was NuCore. I will not be using them or this retailer again.

Art is the owner and sadly communications of agreements to his workers varies tremendously. We looked the other way a few times because he was willing to partner with us helping the project budget stay closer to true costs and we have just enough know how to step in to fix if necessary. Unfortunately, quality control has dropped severely causing our partnership to part ways. Art says all the right words but the product result doesn't match those words and when you try to explain he puts the cause on you for not micro-managing the process. In our entryway there are only 9 total tiles - yet his "best installer crew" placed two exact tiles side by side. When we pointed this out he said it's up to the customers to place the order of the tiles as his teams are paid by jobs so they can't be bothered with such tasks (not those exact words but the summary is very close) In the kitchen was the issue that broke partnership. The tiles were measured allowing for full pieces corner to corner. The installer didn't layout the spacing ahead of time and wanted to leave each corner with a sliver tile - this area is where your eyes see each time you are at the kitchen sink. It's an insult to the trade profession and there's no way this was his best team. We reworked the job but it really sucks to not have had this reality. I hope your story is different should you give them a shot.
