After browsing the online menu, I called to place an order for a large thin crust pizza with beef meatballs and extra cheese. Within half a hour, my pizza was ready for pickup. The restaurant doesn't seem to be setup for dining in for its a cute spot with ample parking and near a Main Street, so very convenient for ordering takeout. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of the gorgeous, cheesy pizza - but prehaps I'll post another review with photos the next time I order from this pizzeria. The pizza was delicious, glad I requested extra cheese and the toppings wed evenly distributed over the pizza so each bite was great. I don't know what it was but it's like no sauce I've ever had. I like a good spicy red pizza sauce. This was not that. The toppings were OK. Overall, the pizza was somewhat dry. My friend had added garlic bread onto the order which is fine. They somehow decided that we were also going to have cheese on our garlic bread which added another three dollars. We definitely felt like outsiders when we entered the bar...and not in a good way. That all changed when our waitress arrived. What the barman lacked, she had in spades. She was friendly, took our complex pizza order quickly and answered everyone's questions. She seemed glad to have us there. The pizzas arrived fairly quickly and our pizza was fine. I didn't read the item description before ordering since I assumed they were just garlicky dough, so I was pleasantly surprised that they had cheese on/in them and a little crunch from the baked cheese. The pizza was ok. The linguista didn't stand out like I hoped it would and the amount of cheese on the pizza is what I would have expected it normally have, so I don't know if they added extra or not. That said, I'd rather have their pizza than Domino's, Pizza Hut, Toppers, or Little Caesars. Papa John's is still my preferred chain pizza store though. Two things that may hurt this Mountain Mike's chances of succeeding: price and location. Their pizzas are pretty expensive (for example, a 14" cheese pizza is $25). I definitely recommend signing up for their rewards to get discounts rather than paying full price. As for location, this particular strip mall is always packed, making parking very difficult. Being in a busy area not far from Southridge Mall is fine if you want a lot of potential customers, but that location might be a turn off once people try to visit.
