The place is very open, so of course it's pretty loud. There's plenty of sports on the TV to watch and plenty of sitting around the bar to watch it on. Our waitress was Eva. Very friendly and sweet. Service was kinda slow but not enough to be mad about. I'm not picky but some in my party are. I started with the parliament soup. Ofc for a super cheap soup how couldn't you get it!! It's always delicious and a favorite. We ordered an appetizer for the table. The Ale Cheese and bread. Again you really can't go wrong. The cheese is delicious. There's an assortment of bread to accompany it. My dinner was chicken pot pie. As to be expected it tasted like a pot pie should. It's not over the top but it's good. Served with cabbage and more pumpernickel bread that I use for the cheese. They did finish out the night singing happy birthday with kazoos.

Excellent Smoked Wings and Great Happy Hour Spot…read more Stopped by Broken Barrel Tavern at Palm Bay Road and Babcock and had a great experience. Service was prompt and friendly, and the happy hour specials made it an even better value. I ordered the wing basket with 8 smoked wings and onion petals. The onion petals were crispy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the spicy remoulade sauce. For the wings, I tried both the Carolina Vinegar and the Hot Garlic flavors. The smoked wings themselves were outstanding, and the Hot Garlic sauce was especially memorable because it featured real garlic, which added incredible flavor. These are definitely wings I will come back for and highly recommend to anyone visiting. My partner ordered the BBQ pulled pork quesadillas with seasoned fries. The fries were more like freshly cut chips, nicely seasoned and delicious, and the quesadillas were excellent as well. Overall, Broken Barrel Tavern delivered great food, quick service, and a relaxed atmosphere. If you're in the Melbourne area and looking for outstanding smoked wings, this place is absolutely worth a visit. We'll definitely be back.

This is an old establish and it shows. Really it a bar that serves BBQ…read more I had heard about this place from my previous job was just down the road. Popular for team building events. Went for lunch on a Friday and they had two servers and only one working the dining area. We sat in the very dark dining area. Every surface was painted black. Lighting was pretty poor and it was hard to read the menus. Ordered a pulled pork platter and a pulled pork sandwich. They both came with "fried chips" and the platter had another side and we chose beans. Bourbon Bbq sauce was our choice. The pork was good. Good portions on both sandwich and platter. Beans had some "heat" which I don't favor but my son really liked. The chip fries or fried chips - whichever they call them were seasoned with a garlic salt it tasted like. However they could have used about another minute I the fryer. The bigger ones were raw in the middle. May have been a byproduct of a large party in their event room throwing off their timing. But if cooked a bit more they would be a unique side for the area and good. Server was stretched thin. Freshens my son's drink but not mine until he brought the check. By then meal was over. I had water. Not difficult. Rib special looked good from a distance and I heard they are known for wings. Maybe next time. Noticed there is a private room for events that most restaurants do not have. So a point to consider.

Wish there was a tad bit more avocado on it since it was in the name of the sandwich but overall pretty good. Fish and chips is always a good choice here with a large fillet well breaded and fried to perfection. The fries are a good portion too. My son had currywurst off the seasonal menu (changes every week) and he said it was very good. I have noticed a trend here though. Absent servers. Take your order. Maybe check on e food shows up brought by the expediter and that's it. No drink refresh unless you flag them down. Not sure if sections are assigned or I have been the victim of tables assigned being far apart. Either way seems like they think their job is done once food hits the table. The pretzel must be food service sourced not home made. They are inconsistent in size visit to visit and the beer cheese is runny. Sadly only three stars this visit.

I've never been to this restaurant before at this specific location, but I can see why everyone picked it As is to be expected different people arrived at different times, but we were all able to sit comfortably in a group and the weight staff accommodated our amount of guests by exhibiting adaptability and patience I personally enjoyed a classic cheeseburger with a double patty and a side of steamed vegetables. Not only is this place military friendly but the quality and quantity of food I got at that price point doesn't feel like it can be beat. I will say that I glanced over at the Pizookie which looks fantastic and saw a drink with a duck in it that is going to ensure the next time I come by I try it as well Sharon was our waitress and she did a fantastic job making sure everyone's order was on point and circling back often not only to check on our food but to refresh our drinks accordingly. Another thing I liked was that people's orders were brought out virtually close to one another despite being ordered a different times. We had a fantastic time. The place was super clean.
