My sister asked to take my girls to this place because my little one LOVeS slime. This location was inside the mall. It was a little lackluster, but the good part was that there was no one else there when we arrived. Other customers arrived later and we could hear passerby's kids say, I want to make slime when they'd look inside. There were lots of little tables and chairs for kids to mix their slime. The kids are provided with aprons to wear so they didn't get their clothes dirty; great touch! There were steps labeled on the wall so that customers knew what to do. We asked a staff and they walked us through each section. There were a few higher bar stool type chairs for adults to sit at near the inside of the windows. Kids get to choose their slime base, the scent, glitter, and charms, etc. then they get to mix it all together. At the end they get their newly made slime put into a small plastic container to take home. We were also provided with some take home activator to spruce up our slime at home in a few days, as needed. Overall, the whole experience lasted about 30 minutes.

Had a fun Auntie and niece day at Slime Kitchen! Location: A newer location in the Oakridge Mall! Lots of space for the kiddos as we came while there was a birthday party and we were still able to have a table for ourselves. Pricing: The experience itself is a decent price around $25 but an additional topping for $1 - it's literally a speck of something instead of a spoonful of something - eh not worth it lol. Service: Pete helped us out! He was very friendly and explained every step of the way. He was very attentive when we needed more activator! Tips -Make a reservation ahead of time to ensure you secure a spot with your kiddo! -Bring earplugs if you are sensitive to loud areas bc the kiddos are all very excited to play with slime! -They have an option to add scents! If you are sensitive to fragrance, a little goes a long way!

Such a cool little activity for kids of all ages! We decided to come here last minute but were happy that they had walk-in activities. The staff here were friendly and helpful. It was $25 per child for one slime activity that included 10+ steps. My kids were very excited and were kept occupied with the slime-making for almost 30mins. They have stations set up and the kids choose the type of slime, scents, color, texture and add ins. Overall, it was a fun and engaging experience. The kids now have a cool slime they can continue to play with at home.

I came here with a group of friends for a birthday party, and yes we are all adults in our mid to late 20s lol. The staff was welcoming and accommodating to our party even though we are obviously not the target audience. They had tons of options for add-ons.

Such a fun experience! My daughters loved customizing their slime and the staff was so patient and helpful. The space was clean, organized, and super kid-friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Our two kiddos (3 and 4 year old) loved it! We've been here twice now and both times were pure joy and joy excitement for the little ones (and, by extension because of that, us parents as well). Love that that they walk you through each step/option if you are new to the experience. Allowed plenty of time to play with the slime mixtures, and wrapped things up pretty quickly when the kids were ready to leave. They continue to play with the slime at home. Fair warning though: the take-home slime can get nasty moldy after a while with repeated use, and will ultimately need to be thrown away. Not a big deal in the short term, just something to watch out for. read more

There was multiple choices to make for slime. My niece got to chose the scent and color of the slime. Next she got to pick the color of glitter, then texture. Next she got to chose the mix ins. Last she got to chose three toppers. The slime Kitchen had ten easy to follow steps and it was created to her taste. We highly recommend the Slime Kitchen to make slime. January 2023 Note: If you have a couple minutes, read the review, if not, just skip it. Nothing sinister here and no demands trying to be made. Just detailing an experience. I really don't like to leave less than positive reviews on yelp because I feel like there's enough negativity that saturates this app already. So this review is mostly regarding the clarity of how to maintain the slime once you go home. As a novice slime maker, I have to say, it's a bit disappointing to have the slime almost entirely unusable by the end of the following day. I don't think this completely falls on the employees, but really reflects the system that's in place for them to operate off of. Again, I had never been here before, but my 4 year old daughter had. We decided it would be a fun "daddy/daughter" date night activity. She had a blast! What kid wouldn't?? So regarding the experience, nothing to complain about. She had fun. I wasn't really planning on making a slime for myself because, well, what am I going to do with a glittery gooey tub of slime?? But I figured my daughter could play with it. I really think this business would benefit by having some sort of "scale" when talking about the level of sliminess/stickiness you want your slime to be. Instead of just leaving a bottle of the borax mix and letting it be up to the customer to know how much is too much, or not enough. If there were something along the lines of "1 being the stickiest and 10 being the firmest they recommend", the employees might be able to easier assist. If that makes sense. Fast forward to bringing this slime home and having a little bag of the borax activator (which totally looks like a drug deal just took place... so keep that in mind if it gets lost in your purse) the little instruction card says to "add drops" of the activator to firm it up, or warm water to make it less firm. Well, being a novice, I thought it meant to sprinkle the borax on, like seasoning some food with salt. Only to read on the bottom of the card that I was supposed to mix the borax with water first. Needless to say, I added too much borax and turned the slime so firm that it breaks apart and doesn't blend back together as slime should. Like cutting a styrofoam box and... we'll, you can imagine the outcome. My daughter's slime seems to be doing well so far, so that's good. But mine... it's gonna be one for the garbage can. Not easy as this is not an inexpensive activity. Being someone who grew up with good ol' Gak slime, I was disappointed to have spent the money on this only for it to be totally useless by day two. A little more education for the customer and clarity on how to maintain it after would be great. Also, the previous slime she made a few months ago has mold growing on it. I'm not sure how long these are meant to last, but a reasonable expectation would be at least half a year. And no mold if it's mostly kept in the container. (I'll update with a picture of the mold) I'm curious if that's a common issue? Like I said, I grew up with Gak and don't remember it ever molding. And I had that slime forrrreeeeever. Came here with my kid and was our first time here. Liked the idea of how you can pick your scent color etc for the slime and toppings. The gal that was in charge seemed nice but was just hosting a party, and this guy that worked there wasn't really helpful plus he kept touching his nose, ears, face etc didn't see him use any sanitizer or wash his hands and then touched my kid's slime was kind of gross. Then had to ask multiple times for things and was told to go do one step and then "wait". Not sure what we were supposed to be waiting for but all the things were annoying and didn't seem sanitary, then had to pay $30. Oh and when we were told sorry for the wait inconvenience we got a "free" bag which was just a paper bag to put the slime in. Probably so we wouldn't complain, yet here we are. My kid liked it besides all those issues hence the extra star. I wouldn't go back. read more

If you have a kid who loves slime you have to check this place out! They have pre made slime, take home kits and in person custom creations for purchase. The process of designing your own custom slime is very fun and exciting because you get to choose the consistency, color, glitter, scent and mix ins/toppings. Children get to play with their creations in tubs at their table and can take it home in a container afterwards. They do use borax in their "activator" solution so if you are concerned about skin sensitivity, limit your child's time when playing with the slime and have the child wash hands thoroughly afterwards. read more

This is our 4th or 5th visit, as a parent I'm no fan of slime, however my kid loves playing with slime. The slime from the kitchen seems to last awhile, I'll say it's money better spent than the store bought brands. The staff has helped her through the process, ensuring her satisfaction with her slime to take home. But most of all the kid says "Slime Kitchen offers me a chance to experience different textures of slimes that I wouldn't be able to do on my own. Definitely something to reward a kid while walking through the mall. read more

The studio has a great backdrop wall for photos, and they even added custom birthday graphics on their TVs. There's plenty of space for adults to relax while the kids paint and game, plus lots of room for food. Which is saying a lot for a kid that hates school and would much rather be whiling away his summer playing the Minecrafts®™. *eye roll* The Good: *Great communication from the staff, as they send out plenty of helpful emails to keep parents informed of what's going on. *Easy pick-up and drop-off *Extremely cautious 'Rona™ measures that include masks; socially-distanced pickup and drop-offs; as well as temperature checks. *A bit overly cautious but safe pick-ups as they check ID and the pick-up person *must* be on the list. *They offer tons of classes with easy sign-ups online The Bad: *Make sure you sign-up early as their classes fill-up fast. We lollygagged and waited too late and were only able to sign him up for one class. :( TLDR: We've always been big fans of YSi but now love them even more! Honestly not sure if he learned anything--as it's tough getting an answer between all the mining and the crafting--but if he liked it, then you know it's good.

We recently attended a birthday party at Slime Kitchen, and it was a fun and unique experience for the kids! The staff did a great job demonstrating the slime-making process and guiding the kids through each step. They were patient, helpful, and made sure everyone was engaged. Slime Kitchen is a great addition to Oakridge mall. It's between macys and build a bear. This location opened up in July 2022, but it's still missing from the mall directory. I took my daughter here and she had a blast. Kids are allowed to make their own slime, which is a super fun activity. She got to touch different types of slime before picking her base. There were so many different scents to pick, but my daughter decided that she didn't like any of the smells. It was great how kids can customize the color and add more things to the slime. Overall, I highly recommend slime kitchen. read more

Visited Slime Kitchen with my two kids, and it was such a fun experience. The space was colorful, organized, and easy to navigate--even with kids in the mix. There were tons of options for colors, textures, scents, and add-ins, which kept both of them engaged the whole time. The staff was friendly and helpful without hovering, which I appreciated. The process was simple, not too messy, and actually pretty relaxing. Both kids loved their final slimes, and they turned out great quality. We visited the Stoneridge location of Slime Kitchen and had such a great experience! AARyN was incredibly helpful with our kids. My daughter accidentally got some slime stuck on her apron, and AARyN was so attentive and kind in helping us fix it and even made sure she had a little extra slime to enjoy. This is such a fun place -- my kids absolutely love coming here! We always have a wonderful time, and the staff really make the experience special. Great place for the kids to have fun. They have a lot of choices ;from textures, colors and scents to cute little charms. My daughter loved it.
