Best chicken place hands down. Nott only is the food great the employees must love their job. They are ALWAYS helpful and very friendly. They have a great selection of dipping sauces. Why would anyone chose Cane's over this place is beyond me. read more

Terrible customer service the food is still good but customer service is horrible starting from the owner to the general manager, and finally the employees that work in the store. If you have a concern about anything dealing their service, they will contact you by email and promise you a giftcard, but you will never receive it,I guess they are trying to keep you from complaining to others about your experience. Here is a email I received: Hello there. My name is Lady Redding and I am the General Manger at this location. First, I addressed this with Jataria as soon as i read it and I am very sorry you felt unwelcome at our Drive Thru. That is not the impression we want to give, regardless of time, amount of business, or any other factor. It is one of my more personal aggravations to drive thru any location and not get a simple "hello." I would be happy to discuss this with you if you would like. I, personally, take a lot of pride in what we do and am very appreciative when someone takes the time to tell us when we get it wrong so that I can do everything I can to make it right for you and any other customer who comes through.  I also would like to give you a gift card to make up for our shortcomings and in the hope that you will return to give us another chance or even visit our other location in Tyler. Please feel free to call me at 903-258-0902 or sctyler2@bblholdings.com to discuss your visit or to leave an address for us to send the gift card. Please accept my apologies and thank you again for sharing so we can make corrections.  But after 9 days I never received anything so I contact corporate and then I received this email. My name is Greg McKay, I am the owner of the Slim's on Broadway. Thank you for reaching out to us about your experience at or store, I am very sorry to hear this, sure is not how I want our guests feeling when they spend their hard earned money with us and our team knows we expect them to provide great customer service. Let me contact my GM and see why you have not received your card yet. i will be in touch. Please feel free to contact my cell at any time if you have a issue in our store . 903-277-7481 But as you guess I still never heard anthing or received a giftcard. So take it from me never complain about their services because nothing will get done. Greg McKay read more

Love the fried mushrooms but everything else was super greasy and flavorless. I've tried this place three different times- not impressed.

Always love a good slim chicken strip. Went through the drive thru to pick up some lunch which took a while but those tenders are worth the wait. Got kinda anxious about ordering but the people were friendly and wiped away my nerves. Fries... A+. Toast... A+. Chicken... A. I personally prefer Canes but this place is a close second. read more

Chicken is ok. I haven't tried the waffles yet but heard they were good . Tenders are better than the wings and I'm a wing person. Not cheap by any means by not expensive . Runs about $7 for the 3 tender meal. There are 2 locations in Tyler. Have been receiving lots of coupons lately so look out for those . Lots of dipping sauce options read more

Please please please make sure the chicken is fully cooked. Medium rare chicken tenders are not only gross they are a health hazard. Also when I order a side and pay almost 5 bucks for it I expect it to be in its own container not substituted for the fries that I ORDERED. read more

Wanna declare Jihad on your arteries? Better hit your Doc up for an Rx for cholesterol after a meal here. I opted for something semi-healthy and went with the buffalo chicken salad. Glad I didn't add any dressing, as the salad was very "wet" from the blue cheese and wing sauce. Speaking of wing sauce, the first bite was good but quickly turned very salty. I tried the wife's chicken strips. The were dripping with grease. Same thing with the fried pickles. Guess I don't get all the hype about this place. Is it simply the novelty of it being new? Chick Fil-A has better chicken sans the grease. I'll give this place another shot. Perhaps when I'm suffering from a hangover and in need of some grease. read more

my husband and i love slim chickens(it is our favorite chicken place to go too). when i drove 30 minutes to the nearest slim chicken restaurant to get dinner i was very disappointed when i drove another 30 minutes home to realize my order was rung up wrong which then reaulted in it being prepared and served wrong. (i went thru the drive thru window) the lady at the window said she got confused on an order like three cars ahead of me and now they are trying to get everything figured out. ok i get it mistakes happen (no big deal). my problem is i ordered a 5 piece meal shaken in honey bbq sauce with sweet red chili dipping sauce. when i got home i had plain (way over cooked) strips. no bbq sauce at all. no straws for our drinks. so disappointed in this trip to slim chickens. read more

If you have ever been to raisin canes and said things like I wish they had more dipping sauces or sold more than just chicken tenders then Slim Chickens is the place for you. Basically a raisin canes but better. read more

Will never go back. I order very big orders when I do go. I usually order at least twice a month from this location. I have always received great service from this location but the last few times have been short product when I order. Either from tenders or sides previously. The last two times that I went I was giving the Mac and cheese sides half full. I didn't say anything the first time but the second time I pointed it out to the staff and asks if they could be full like the first 25 times I ordered this product. Well I was told by the manager that the appropriate portion sizes were in the containers and I was wrong. So I guess the price of 4.99 for a total food cost of .90 cents was only for half full containers. Thanks but no thanks. I will bring my 70$ orders somewhere else read more

this place was surprisingly great. it had great customer service. great quality food. and overall a great environment. this place almost reminds me like a raising canes but about a step above quality wise but same price wise. I can't wait to come back to the place and try the chicken and waffles!! the tenders was amazing. And the Mac and cheese was the greatest I had since.. Well ever! read more

See all

Chicken and waffles is a favorite and the hot wings are as good as any around. This place has quickly became a staple in our teenage daughters' diets. Having the option to get grilled chicken strips is important with a house full of women who are conscious of nutrition but picky. Location is a huge plus since we live south of Tyler read more

I enjoy eating at Slim Chickens. The food is alway fresh and the employees are so polite. I enjoyed the grilled chicken buffalo salad tidy and will be back for it again. A must stop when in Tyler and looking for great food fast read more

Love this place!!! It is just like Raising Canes but way better! The food comes out hot and fresh which I love! They have a whole bunch of different side items to choose from as well as many different sauces. If you like fresh fried chicken you will love this place! read more

They don't know anything about chicken and waffles. The food is okay nothing to brag about. Tried it won't be back.

There is literally nothing bad to say about this place. I LOVE their food. All the sauces are bomb. I definitely recommend to anyone who loves some good chicken. read more

I did not care for the chicken at all. No seasoning whatsoever. I need flavor!!! The sauces were nothing special either.

Excellent chicken tenders at a good price. Almost like a Raising Canes, but with way more options. I like having a big selection of dipping sauces to choose from, because i'm not always in the mood for the same old flavor. The fries were seasoned just right and the chicken tenders were plump and juicy. They were also good size. This was my first time there, but it will definitely not be my last. I'm putting it into the rotation. read more

My new favorite Wing place, the fries are pretty awesome too, have been several times and will keep going back. Great food and always friendly staff! read more

Always great customer service! I'm honestly not the biggest fan of their chicken but the mac & cheese is amazing!

Great chicken tenders and wings. First time I tried it was hooked. Tenders are always the best and the wings are wonderful. You have such a variety of sauces to choose from. Can't go wrong. Great price for all the food you get. read more

Wings were impressive for the Tyler area. Service was as expected at a fast casual dining restaurant. But the sauces were not up to par. There is a definite lack of creativity in the sauces. In my experience, more options with new flavors will bring me back again. read more

Be sure you check your order. Just got home with my food and was short chicken. That's a little frustrating and too much trouble to go back for. Chicken is good and sauces are good. Chicken like most of these places are pricey so I expect to have the right number of strips and even a nice surprise of an extra would be nice. Teach your workers to count carefully. read more

Staff are very friendly and patient with you and your order, food was brought to table fast and hot, restaurant is very clean, even people walking around asking of customers needed any refills and asking if the food was good. read more

Great, quick place to grab a bite to eat. Food came out piping hot and fresh. I love when you get fresh, hot chicken at a fast food place. Prices were reasonable. The employees were super friendly and went above and beyond to make our dining experience an enjoyable one. We will definitely be coming back here for a quick bite to eat. read more

The lady who is the manager is one of the nicest people I have ever met. We won a catering party for our office at the library and I fell in love with this place. Their potato salad is unmatched and their macaroni and cheese is the stuff of dreams. Their fried pickles were the best I have ever tasted. Their dipping sauces are so good!! And of course, their chicken is good too. We have used them since then because the prices are good and the good is so good. Am really a big fan if their peach tea too. Thank you Slim Chickens for the good food and service and attitude. :) read more

Delicious fresh hot juicy chicken and hot fries! Great dipping sauces! Love the ambiance, they play blues music and show football and other sports on the TV's. Best chicken strips in town in my opinion. read more

I have eaten here about five times. Love the grilled chicken. Nice staff. Waited a while in the drive thru for an order last time, but I'll be back. Clean inside and out. Like the menu like the options. read more

Slim Chickens - Delicious. Enjoyed my meal! Second trip this week - Chicken Wings Near Me - Tyler, Texas

The best hot wings in town by far! I love their food and go at least once a week while on my lunch break! I always have excellent service and their toast is so good! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for amazing hot wings! :) read more

I moved here a few months ago and discovered this place. I LOVED it at first, but over the last couple of months I have been greatly disappointed in the quality of the food. I ordered an 8 wing plate and received 7 wings with a heaping pile of fries covering them. One of the wings had a really long hair wrapped around it... I decided to let it go, because it was busy. Well last night I got the same order. I got the correct amount of wings, but they were no bigger than my thumb. And there were only 17 fries, I counted because it was SO little. The sides of ranch were filled 1/3 of the way. I used to love this place, but I definitely wont be back to this location. read more

Stopped at this location as I came into town for work. The name and new building drew me in. I agree with other posts the restaurant reminds me of Raising Canes or PDQ in terms of taste. On the plus side the restaurant was clean, had plenty of beverage selections and coloring utensils for kids, and the extended dipping sauces. I tried the sweet and spicy and found it to my liking. The downside was the disappointment in the size of the tenders themselves. Overall was pleased with the experience and would go back for another meal. read more

For a fast food joint this place was great! I've had the grilled chicken buffalo wrap, chicken salad and tenders which were all great. Mac and cheese was also fantastic as another reviewer said. The fiancé absolutely loves it so we go quite often! read more

Excellent Food and Service! I've been 3 times in the past 2 days and that says alot! Everything is fresh and delicious and my family loves it. read more

First time we've ever eaten at Slim Chickens. We loved it. Surprisingly better than Raising Cane's and we go there often. The chicken basket was very filling. The chicken and waffles were amazing. Very flavorful chicken strips. The food was fresh even though we came in late. Friendly staff. Great price. We will be back. read more

This place is amazing!!!! I would recommend it to anyone! The chicken at first really did seem slim, but then I took a bite and it was awesome! The sauce is some of the best sauce I've ever had. It was the mild kind to and it was actually mild. The service was amazing, and the place itself is very clean and nice! Next time I'm in Tyler I'm coming back to this place! read more

My first (and last) visit to the new Slim Chickens on Troup Hwy in Tyler Texas was 09/19/2016. I ordered the tenders plate with fries. Service was fast & polite. The tenders were overpriced, had almost no batter of any kind, were not seasoned in any way, the blue cheese and the ranch dipping sauce was thin & watery, and the fries were soggy. I wish them well, but with over priced & under seasoned food I absolutely will NOT return. read more
