When he asked simple questions, such as the wing count, the type of fries they serve, and the address. She responded with clear irritation and even blurted out, "Oh my God." I went into the restaurant and asked if she was the person who had just answered the phone. She confirmed that she was. I then asked her to cancel our order because we did not like her attitude, and left. It's unfortunate because we will never know what the food tastes like because we won't be returning. Small businesses already face many challenges, and customer service is often what sets them apart. Having someone at the front representing your business in this way does more harm than good.

We dined in and our server was Harmoni. She was very pleasant, upbeat and friendly and mind you the restaurant closed in one hour when we were seated. Because it was both of our first time visiting here it was hard to decide on what we should order. Harmoni made suggestions and gave honest feedback about the menu. I ordered a grill seafood platter with collard greens and broccoli. The food is prepared fresh to order, and it was very good without being too salty. My friend ordered a fried seafood platter with fish and oysters. I would like to come back here much more often but most likely I will just order on DoorDash. Harmoni and the young girl with braids had great customer service, but "everyone" else was just kind of subpar. The manager never walked around and asked us about our visit which I am used to experiencing with a dine in restaurant.

The case was full of cookies and a few petalcakes (aka cupcakes) After speaking to the nice young man behind the counter that said some batches of cookies had just come out of the oven, we went for two cookies. A classic chocolate chip and a fresh out of the oven s'mores. Prices were not listed anywhere we could see, but we were in for the sweet treat. I was, however, taken aback a bit that two cookies were $10 and some change, but having said that they were delicious cookies. Especially the s'mores. We're still pulling for Gibson Mill Market to make it because it's such a great concept. The atmosphere is great for meeting up with friends and hanging out with a beverage.

The one thing I am not a fan of is the way all restaurants (East Coast is not alone by any stretch) have you pay. They spin their screen towards me so I can add a tip. They give suggested tips on the screen but seriously why should I feel as though I have to tip when all they do is grab the food (if not already there) and accept my money. The suggested tip was between $5-6 dollars. Tipping the person who grabs your food should never be the same tip percentage as you would give if you sat down and someone waited on you.
