A must destination for every family coming to Lake Chelan. Easily a whole day. They are ok with you bringing your own food, but just as easy to order from the grill with healthy options like the black bean burger on the menu, but bring snacks as they don't really have smaller options like fruit or bags of chips for those sorts of needs. Park and locker room cleanliness gets points and the ease of locker use, which I appreciate. Get there early to snag. A shady spot, and if you can manage o go mid week, instead of the weekend, do it. This Waterpark is on the upper end of decent. I have to say, the prices are fairly low, and the slides are on the lower end of fantastic. This is an oasis in the semi-arid desert. The slides are really fun and the river is filled with lazy people :) The one thing that needs addressed is the inner tubes. Not all of the people relinquish the inner tube to the next person waiting and instead hold on to it and go up again with it. Not fair to any patrons waiting in line. The life guards should be observing this type of activity since they already have there eyes on them exiting the water. Needs to be policed to ensure all patrons get there monies worth from the day spent $. It should be utilized sliding not sitting on the sidelines. Have the team meeting with your employees. Tried out this park for the first time the day before Labor Day. The kids, even the teenager really loved it. They have multiple slides, a couple that require tubes and the remainder do not. There are small slides for the little kids and you can take the little ones on the bigger slides if they tandem with someone over 48" tall. There is also a "lazy river", giant hot tub and shallow play area for the little ones. The whole place is on a hill so wherever you go you do a lot of climbing up concrete sidewalks. Although I didn't see it as a problem some family members complained of sore soles from walking barefoot on so much concrete. Water shoes are allowed as long as they are "non-marking". I have never seen water shoes that stated they wouldn't mark. Here is the info for all you first timers. This place has lockers to rent, changing/shower/restrooms, a gift store and a snack shack at the lower level by the ticket office. The food is the standard mix of hot dogs, burgers, fries, chips, pop etc. and the prices aren't too bad. The also have a coffee bar and ice cream available. The wait can be the problem. We waited over half an hour just to order and then it took another fifteen minutes to get the food. After we got our food the lines really started getting long. If I would have know the layout of the place I would have brought my own food. You can get your hand stamped, leave the park and come back in. The parking lot is very close so leaving an ice chest in your vehicle and retrieving your lunch from it is no big deal. There is plenty of grassy areas to lay out a towel to sun yourself or eat lunch. Pretty much everything you could want to bring in is legal except for ice chests and glass bottles. Just leave the ice chest in the car and bring your food in when you want to eat. There are rules about not wearing metal jewelry or cotton shorts. Supposedly the cotton slows you down in the tubes and the metal can hang you up or scratch the fiberglass. My experience was that there was metal jewelry all over the place and I even saw one lady wearing denim shorts with rivets in them. Just how many rules did that break? Also all sunglasses are to have some sort of restraining strap. This rule I have to agree with. On several of the slides you hit the pool at the bottom going fast enough for your glasses to fly off even with a strap. I was using a neoprene strap that floated and always was able to retrieve my glasses. As with most parks like this, the earlier you arrive the less crowded it is. By mid afternoon it was wall to wall people and they had to make up their parking spots in the lot. Overall it's great for $18 per head. Much cheaper than Great Wolf in Grand Mound where you have to pay for a night at their hotel. To me the overall experience is better than Great Wolf. I don't like the 84 degrees and 100% humidity there. Slidewaters is all outdoors with a view of Lake Chelan from the upper slides. read more

I did not think that this park was all that great considering $17.00 each for admission. The slides are so-so with 2 that are for kids above grade school. The rest might be good for small kids, just not teens. The staff was a bunch of rude high school aged kids. I would not go back. read more

5/26 update: our return trip after last year's Labor Day visit. Went on the very first day it opened. Newest feature is the "Lazy River" where kids can slowly raft/wade/swim through a slow moving loop. It has some sprinkler areas for variety. It didn't seem too interesting to us but it's cute and people seemed to enjoy it and so did our kids (now 9 and 11). And our kids loved Slidewaters again and we were there for six hours. This time we brought our camp chairs along with beach towels to spread on the grass in front of us. It made it much more comfortable for us lazy adults to sit around while the kids went off and played. It's still very pleasant, very well-maintained, and very well-run. Still can't bring in cooler chests but you can bring in your own food and drink. Corn dogs or hot dogs are $2.75 each, they have some kids meals for $6. But around 12:30 the line gets very long and slow, and the food is just okay (pizza still comes in a box much bigger than the tiny disc). Most food is already cooked so the wait after you place the order isn't too bad. It's just the line to get to ordering. French fries are good. Tip: don't eat/sit near the front concession stand, even if those tables look convenient. Bees know what's there, and tend to hang around admiring your food. To complete the last review, I can confirm that in the men's room, the stalls do NOT have seat covers. Egads! Plenty of TP in the big dispensers, though. Four urinals, three stalls (one accessible), two (sensor) sinks, one hand dryer blower, no paper towels, one changing table. One more tip: bring aqua sox. They won't allow full blown shoes on the rides, but aqua sox are fine. It's much more comfortable as there is a lot of climbing up winding concrete ramps and paths to get to the start of a ride. Sometimes carrying your own raft. Last year the kids complained about sore feet. They do sell them there for around $12. One last detail: noticed that a concrete ramp that is frequently wet because of a nearby warm pool, has little slits cut across it to help ensure that people don't slip and fall. Very nice! Again, based on how our 9 and 11 year olds loved it, I couldn't recommend it more for a family. read more

I am giving this 4 stars due to the fact that their slide burnt a small hole in the bottoms of my new swim suit lol. This place was so awesome. My kiddies had a blast and got great use out of every water slide in the park. The only other problem there was these little gnats that would crawl on you and bite you. I was kinda grossed out by this fact and everytime I would apply my sunscreen it seemed they would bite me more. so be warned next time you visit here to bring off or something to keep them off of you read more

Absolutely, hands down worst experience! We went to Slidewaters with our two kids anticipating to spend the whole day, after 20 minutes in the lazy river, we were covered in small nit size bugs. I mean covered! They were in my children's scalps, crawling in our ears- it was disgusting. When I spoke to a staff member about it, he said I was the only one complaining. We gave our children showers there to wash them off and decided that maybe it was just the lazy river. We tried to go down two more water slides and after noticing a life guard at the bottom of the slide swatting her own skin, I asked her if this was normal and she said, "no" this is disgusting and everyone is complaining. After my daughter was bit numerous times I decided we were going to leave after only being there for 1 hour. We bought our GA tickets through Groupon and spent another $17 for my daughters entry. (Kids 2 and under were free) When we left I asked the girl at the front kiosk for a refund because we were so unsatisfied with our experience and she rudely told me that they do not give refunds. I asked to speak to a manager and was told yet again, "we're an outdoor venue, this is normal this time of year, and we do not offer refunds" Well, we went back to our hotel to play in the pool (where there were NO bugs) So as far as normal, maybe bug infestation is at their venue. We have gone to slidewaters every summer for the past 5 years and never had an bad experience like this. I would have considered going back if they had offered a refund for the day or a voucher to come back at a later date. However, given the rudeness of their staff- I will not return. read more

Some of these reviews crack me up. We had a great experience. Friendly workers, water is perfect temperature, and the bees just mainly just hang out in the beautiful lavender bushes that make this place smell so good.Food is really good, the place is extremely clean and has a great happy vibe to it. My family and I vacation the entire summer in Chelan and I get my kids the season pass bracelets so they can go as much as they want. This is really a clean, safe and fun place for the entire family. The view of the lake is awesome and the life guards run a tight ship. The only thing that might surprise some people is that everyone has to pay to get in...regardless of rather you plan to sit and watch or play on the slides. I get the season pass so it does not bother me, but just be prepared. read more

This place is great overall and my son really enjoyed it! The only suggestions I have are 1. They need a bathroom facility at the top of the hill. Doesn't have to be full blown, just a few plumbed toilets and a changing table would be great. 2. Lazy River. Would be great to have at least one point where water fell on top of you... even if its just an open pipe that pours out from the bridge area - that would cool you off. Also, maybe a canopy over part of it (run posts along each side for 10 ft. or so with some inexpensive netting over the top) just to keep some of the direct sun off of you as the bridges are pretty small and don't really add any coverage. Maybe some taller foliage in the center would help as well? Other than those few suggestions - this place is fantastic! read more

This is a fantastic place! First of all, it's actually immaculate as far as any outdoor water park goes, I really was impressed. The grounds are extremely well kept and the staff we encountered were truly pleasant and professional. I went with my two teenagers and they had a great time, plenty to do and they loved that there's no stairs or towers to climb. No stairs! This park is built into the side of the mountain so it's a healthy outing just walking to each slide. About halfway through I discovered the sun deck AKA relaxation with an amazing view of both Lake Chelan and mountains. I saw all ages here and my kids said they'd love to go back again. read more

The slides were okay. My coworker warned me before going, "watch out for the bees". That wasn't really a sufficient warning of the swarm we would encounter, at literally every area of the park. We got their early, before any food or drinks could be seen there was bees. Once the day went on and drinks and food were out it only got worse. My friend was stung and talked to atleast 3 people who had been stung as well. I can't believe there's nothing to be done about this. read more

BEST day all summer! Our kids had a blast and so did mom and dad! 5 stars for sure. So fun to see big smiles everywhere - from every walk of life, little wee ones to big daddies, everyone having a good time. I don't go to water parks very often but when I do I go to slide waters. I have a 5 and 3 year old and its perfect for them and the family. It's also nice that it doesn't cost too much to get in. I like the fact the weather in chelan is so nice.... read more

We had soo much fun, my 2 an 4 year old were blown away by the slides, and I particularly liked the very lax age restrictions on the big slides, if they can swim they can slide. read more

This water park got good reviews so I checked it out while I was in Chelan. In my experiences the life guards were very unprofessional. The only professional life guards are Kennedy and Caden. I felt the owner Robert was very rude when I had an issue with my payment. I would not recommend for anyone and I personally will never be going back. read more

This place kept my kids happy and entertained for ever. Perfect place to be on a hot day!! They had a nice variety of slides for all ages. I felt safe with my younger ones going up the hill by them selves. I was suckered into the refillable cups which when you have a few kids is very expensive . If you're tired of being nickle and dimed at 6 flags or whatnot, come here. Very family friendly for our 6 year old. Reasonable locker room rates (free in and out of them) though most people just plop their stuff on their towels in the surrounding areas. NOT a cement jungle - nicely landscaped with trees and grass. This was seriously a great surprise. Bring your own small bag of snacks or just walk 50 feet out the door to your car and get lunch from your cooler. Free parking and totally reasonable costs. Plenty of stuff for the little ones and also the bigger kids. Very family friendly. Was very glad to have made it! read more

Just left there. Few things my six year old was charged as an adult as he is over four foot tall! An adult and he's six! Get a clue ! There excuse is that they allow anyone above four foot to ride all rides ! We'll get a clue again in that he's six ! he's tall but maybe he doesn't want to ride the dark slide that is inappropriate for a six year old ! Maybe him being six he doesn't know how to swim which he does but what if ! Hope the savings of four dollars was worth a one star review ....anyone ? Spoke to the owner ( he was only a teenager like everyone that works there ) or his parents really are the "owners" but he didn't care instead he said that's what we change adult rates for tall six year olds and that was that ! Clearly doesn't haven much customer skills. Just the stupid policy of charging tall six year old adult rates ! Then my husband stubbed his toe severely on a concrete slap that was raised a good two inches clearly a full hazard. The big orange cone is not proper safety. We'll his water shoes literally are ruined but it saved his toe from getting ripped off like part of his water shoes! We'll if you find water shoes in your parking lot mr owner we left you them ! Your lucky he didn't break anything that's clearly unsafe and unacceptable ! I can't imagine any business would allow this to clearly In -danger anyone ! Mute point ! Speaking to teenagers clearly gets no where and not worth my time ! Get a clue I have been going there since It was opened in the 80s every single year ! I have no respect for this place ! This is our favorite summer getaway for our family. I personally have been coming since the summer it opened back in the 80's. The staff is friendly, the slides are fun, it's a great place to let your kids roam (8 and up I would say) and play without worrying where they are, or them getting lost. The new lazy river is awesome! The little toddler play area is pretty small and seems outdated compared to other "splash pad" areas around today. That is the only think I would update. Get there early to stake your claim to a shady spot. The food is pretty good too and they don't gorge you on prices. We have even considered a family summer pass even though we live in snohomish county. Well worth the drive a few times a summer! read more

Great for toddlers as they can play on top of the hill where the water is shallow. There's water spraying around and a big bucket that dumps water. My child is still not comfortable with the slides so we'll be back next year to try. Would be nice if they sell drinks around the grounds. This is a very small waterpark in the town of Chelan. Never feels abundantly crowded, very, very clean. Well staffed and guarded. Small enough that you can find a patch of shade and let the kids go without feeing you're going to lose them. This is a must do once a summer...may get old any more than that. read more

We went in lake June during the week. It wasn't crowded at all, we had minimal wait time at all areas of the park. All of the adults and kids (5 YO) in our group had fun. There were slides and activities for the kids and fast slides for the adults. The only complaint I have is the timing on some of the slides. On numerous occasions, we were hit from behind coming down waterslides. Luckily it only happened to the adults, but I could see this as being really dangerous if an adult hit one of the kids from behind coming down the slide. read more

Love it here. The kids have a great time here. I wish the food was less expe sive at their cafe but they let you bring your own so pack a cooler! I buy a seasons pass at Christmas time for the family because it is half as much as buying in June. This place accommodates large groups and donates/discounts a lot of trips and group passes to the local schools and sports' teams. They are a very community minded business! read more

I'm an adult but I liked it. Water parks are kinda old news but to my kids they thought it was the best thing every. The life guards were cheeery and helpful.
