Maybe it was the heat (I went on a beautiful 95 degree day) but the chicken caesar wrap was just good. For about $15 it is a sizeable wrap, packed full of a really good salad with a fair amount of chicken. I liked the crispy texture of the wrap that it was in, it was different than anything I've had before. I could only finish half, and when I went to finish the rest later the wrap was softer but still good. Would I drive to this location specifically again for this wrap? I don't think so but would definitely stop in if I was close by so I could try the wrap again fresh with some fries or try something else from the menu. September 2025 Parking: on site. Shared lot with other businesses. It's a "one way" parking lot. We had to drive down and come around because we turned too soon. Location: near SMU. Several other food spots in walking difference. Cleanliness: they were cleaning when we walked in- but this was one hour before close (9pm) Pretty clean. It was cold inside so we went to sit outside. The bar seats outside though- I was in slacks so I was sliding all over that seat. That wasn't very comfortable, but I managed. Staff: the lady taking our order was very sweet. So was the food runner. The cooks -- I looked up two -three times during this visit, and they were looking at me. This was another reason I wanted to eat outside. May have been harmless buttttt it was enough to note, and enough to want to not stay seated indoors. 4/5 for the smash burger. I made it a double for $3 more. The size was perfect-- we've been trying smash burgers for the last three days and this was the biggest, so far. Ordered a side of curly fries for $3. Quality of the fries wasn't there. Delicious Cesar wraps in a really cute diner setting! The wraps themselves were pretty small considering the price ($15). I was definitely expecting more in terms of quantity, but taste was delicious. Took a little bit of time for the wraps to come out and it's an order at the front type of situation. I used to love coming to Sliders and Blues -- it was one of my go-to spots in Dallas. The Philly and the loaded fries were my absolute favorites, and I'd always recommend them to friends. Unfortunately, both items have recently been taken off the menu, and with them, the main reason I kept coming back. It's really disappointing to see signature items like that disappear. So I was in Snider Plaza and thought I would call them to place a pickup order. The phone number is either wrong or they just don't care, or so I thought. When I got there I understood the problem, they are woefully understaffed. The guy at the register was taking orders, making drinks, he was basically doing the job of three people, he couldn't have answered the phone if he wanted to. They people that do work there, I feel sorry for them, they are working their tail off. Foods pretty good, but they have to hire more people. Worst experience in a long time. I grew up on S&B. Called ahead to pick up a burger for nostalgia's sake. When I got to the restaurant my order was not ready, nor did they have any record of it. I waited another :30 for a burger and fries to go. What they handed me was nowhere near what I ordered, but that's not really surprising since I had to ask the girl at the counter to listen to me...twice. I called to ask to speak to a manager and was handed off to someone that claimed to be the manager but only spoke Spanish. Then he handed the phone to the girl who initially rang me up, and she said: "Actually, I am the manager." What a zoo. This place is slipping, it used to be great, great burgers, great retro vibe. We live close by and recently we came here once a week. Service is friendly but slow because it's understaffed, often the guy taking the orders is also cooking burgers. The milkshakes are often watery because it's not frozen enough. The burgers used to be great now they are over-grilled to the point that they are largely charred. Of our latest pick-up order 3 out of 4 (!) food items were wrong! I feel a lot has to do with proper management, I never see the owner anymore at night. It's very frustrating and we'll probably get our burgers from the Burger House going forward. Looks like this will be a hit with the neighborhood crowd. Only a matter of time till there is a line of golf carts towing kids there. The burgers were good. Not the best I'd ever had but a step up from fast food. Strangely, the meat patty was almost paper thin. I get the "smash burger" concept is in right now. Mine just might have gotten smashed thinner than usual. Almost to the point where I could not taste any meat. The thickness of the meat aside, the grilled onions were good. The onion rings were ok. Basic but nothing special. Kids were all over this place and I can see this being popular among the little ones. For me, if I'm really hungry for a burger I might have to find another place or order more patties to make it substantial. The vibe here took me back instantly to the Slider & Blues of my childhood. The music and memorabilia were spot on and it feels like a perfect neighborhood joint. We got a pepperoni pizza which was really good, paper thin crust and good toppings. We also got a little league combo. The slider was great but too greasy for my liking. The entire bottom bun was soaked in grease. The fries were really disappointing, too thin to serve with hamburgers like this. Assuming they are using the same fry recipe as Hudson House but they didn't translate well. Mine were stale and not warm. I was most looking forward to the seasoned curly fries that they served at the original Slider & Blues so it was just disappointing. People taking orders and the servers were great. The dream of the '90s is alive at Slider and Blues! Slider and Blues used to be a favorite among people my age when we were kids. So, I was surprised to find out that it had been resurrected by The Vandelay Hospitality Group and given a new location. Setting foot through the door was like being transported right back to 1996. The amount of vintage sports memorabilia and old movie posters in conjunction with the sounds of alternative rock from the pre-millennium days of my adolescence was more than welcoming, I felt at home instantly. There's even an arcade in the extended portion of the establishment, complete with air hockey table and basketball free throw game. And I could literally spend hours in the bathroom looking at all of the old trading cards that plaster the wall. I ordered the Sandlot Burger, because yes, I love The Sandlot. It was actually a lot like Burger House's. It was a smashed patty that was so good and well-proportioned, I actually ate two. I have my eye on Kevin's Cheese pizza for next time I go, because Home Alone is also one of my favorites. While we're on the subject of films they even had 3 Ninjas and Happy Gilmore posters adorning the walls. Oh, but I also have to mention the autographed photo of the 1978 lineup of the Cowboys they have in the back. Sorry, now I'm just geeking out! But of course what Vandelay restaurant would be complete without some Seinfeld references? I'm looking at you, The 'Big' Salad! There were also quite a few nice flatscreen TVs showing MLB games, so I'll definitely spend a lot of time here when the NFL season starts up again. I really love this place. I'm going to end this with something I overheard a kid say here earlier today, "where has this place been all my life?"
