Great crawfish! $4.50 lb on Wednesdays and $5 per lb regularly. These crawfish were so juicy, and the flavors were intense. Thank you Steve!

Hands down THE FRESHEST seafood I've EVER had in my 38 years of existence! End story! My BFF has lived in Louisiana for her entire adult life. She now raises her beautiful family with her husband in Slidell, LA and said if I wana bring seafood back home to Michigan with me- DUH which I did!, this was the place to get it from. Hot damn was she right! Just another reason for me to love this lady! Slidell Seafood is legit the freshest- BEST seafood I've ever had in my entire life. It's fresh off the boat that morning for you to purchase and cook as you please. If you don't wana do the work, like me, you can purchase already boiled. I went in around 5pm on a Thursday and Steve the owner welcomed me with a Huge smile, and we exchanged greetings- I knew I was in a cool place! He said, let me guess you want crawfish. I laughed and said yah. My "accent" gave me away. I had called earlier and inquired about prices. Apparently Michiganders have an "accents". We both smiled and chuckled, and got down to business- crawfish business that is. 10 pounds of boiled crawfish were coming back to Michigan with me. 1,088 miles, over 2 days back to MI so I could help my father cross something off of his bucket list. Steve, told me how to package and travel safely with this precious cargo. I paid the man and had the pleasure of shaking his hand. I thanked him and told him I'll seen him I'm about a year. He wished me safe travels and said, see you soon! I was glowing when I got in my truck- my husband asked "that good huh??" The crawfish??? Haven't you seen the pictures??? They were amazing that evening when I got back to my BFFs house and I ate about pound of them! I had to resist from eating anyone for fear I wouldn't have any to take home. They were hot and fresh outa the boiler. The seasoning was spot on! Spicy, but no so spicy that you can't feel your lips by the time you're done eating. They were HUGE too- but still super sweet and tender! You could also get the claw meat out too- which is sweet and delicious. I packed them just like Steve told me too, and they made it safely to MI. My dad was in his glory. I've eaten them for the last 3 days. Delicious every time. I have about 1.5lbs left that I'm saving for tomorrow. I'm nearly in tears that after that, they're all gone. BEST CRAWFISH EVER!! Not to mention, at a great price! 10lbs cost me $30. Steve, keep the fresh Louisiana seafood coming! 5 Stars and a Huge recommendation!!

You should know, this is an intimate space with only eight 4 tops and a dozen seats at the bar and that's all. We got here on a Wednesday happy hour, and the place was almost full, so making a reservation might be in order. The happy hour food and drink specials is most likely the reason why the place was almost packed. The dinner menu takes the prices to the next level. We started off with a couple of $10 martinis and decided on four happy hour menu items. My shrimp Po boy came on a crunchy French baguette and the Seabass was cooked to perfection. No wonder this place was packed. At six on the dot a pianist took the stage and livened up the atmosphere. The happy hour crowd trickled out, and the dinner folks strolled in. We added their bruschetta as the final piece and it was really very fresh. Some notes of interest that others may have missed: 3% credit card fee, no wifi and there's mouthwash for you in the bathroom. Definitely a place to revisit. 10 informative photos to get you through the door.

We had a really frustrating experience at Martinis in Fredericksburg…read more We called ahead because it was cold, rainy, and we were traveling with babies. On the phone, they told us they had availability and could accommodate us, no mention of any restrictions or special policies. When we arrived, everything changed. Suddenly, they said they couldn't seat us because our group was "too big." Then we were told that any group of 7+ is automatically forced into a $145 per person prix fixe chef's menu. We had six adults and three babies (babies who obviously are not eating a multi-course tasting menu, they are drinking MILK) and they still tried to apply this policy to us. Not only was this never mentioned on the phone, but it felt completely unreasonable given the makeup of our group. Meanwhile, we were staring at an empty table that was big enough to fit our group. We were fully prepared to spend a significant amount of money there, and instead were turned away over a policy that should have been clearly communicated upfront. If you have strict rules like this, communicate them ahead of time, especially when people call to confirm. Don't tell guests you can accommodate them and then change everything when they arrive. The lack of transparency and flexibility made for a really disappointing experience. Would not recommend, especially for groups or anyone traveling with kids. Don't anticipate this place will be in business long.

This is a popular place. I ordered the Filet which is 6 ounces along with a Baked Potato and Steamed Broccoli. The potato was pre-buttered plus there was a basket of butter patties on the table. The steak was delicious as was the baked potato. I cleaned my plate. The TV screen was across the room and the closed captioning was in a large font and easy to read from the other side of the room. So many times I've seen ESPN talking heads on a screen with no captioning and too small of a font making it hard to read. But this place was very accommodating.
