This is a different menu than your usual fried seafood offerings. If you like fresh ingredients and an international flare, this is an excellent option! Loved my evening out with hubby last night at Slicker's. The staff was SO welcoming and seemed to really appreciate us being there. The food was delectable at a very fair price. They also have cocktails "to go" during Covid and their cocktail menu looked scrumptious, although I can't partake because of my alcohol allergy. I wasn't nervous about the other diners as it was very easy to social distance. We received our food with a noticeable short wait. The restaurant was roomy, clean and bright. I plan on returning at least once per month. My favorite menu item between the two of us was the Beef Carpaccio. My filet was cooked perfectly too and seasoned well. read more

We were in town for a few and Slickers was one of the few that took reservations. We have 3 kids and have NO business waiting 2 hours for a table, for everyone's sanity. We came here Thursday night for dinner. We had beef Bradenton, ahí tuna, spicy octopus and shrimp gambitto. I am not a huge pasta person, so didn't have high expectations. Well, it was fantastic! I kept raving to my husband about it. I also had two key lime martinis, and they were amazing. We went to the beach Friday morning and ended up coming again for lunch after. Me and my husband got the shrimp gambitto. Consistently delicious. The owner was there, and such a kind person. Sat us in front of the fish aquarium, fed the fish for our kids. One of our kids was having the worst meltdown over a flower he didn't get to pick from the beach. It was embarrassing, to say the least. The owner came over with a big faux sunflower for all three of our kids. This place is not pretentious and has amazing top notch food. Try it! read more

Our first time here and slightly disappointed. The appetizers are the best thing on the menu and while they are a great concept and somewhat flavorful, the portions leave you wanting more and not in a good way. We had the beef carpaccio, slickers sliders, spicy octopus and the ahi tuna. The beef carpaccio is slices on a plate instead of the typical fine chunk tower you get at most fine eateries but overall good. The spicy octopus portion was incredibly disappointing for $16, one medium sized tentacle when you can purchase an entire octopus for the same price at the seafood market next door. The ahi tuna was only an inch long and maybe a half inch thick. The theme of small portions, with the exception of arugula, continues throughout all the meals. Our server Katelyn was inattentive and left us waiting for long periods between visits of stacked empty glasses and plates with only two tables in the entire place. For $82 there are a lot better choices nearby but I give them an A+ for presentation and effort though. read more

As a result, I had some items that I probably would not have ordered, and to say I was extremely impressed would be an understatement! We first had sunny side up oysters. Very flavorful and unique! Next came the Banh Mi. I'm always a little tentative when it comes to cilantro as I feel most places overdo it, but it was perfectly done! The last sample I had was the spicy octopus. We just had dinner and we really enjoyed it. Instead of entrees, we ordered two "small plates", about the size of appetizers and a flat bread. The grilled polenta was pretty, spice we couldn't quite figure out, but it is NOT spicy, it has just a small kick, which is good since I can't eat spicy food like I used to... The Beef Bradenton was pretty good, too. The phyllo dough was so good! Then let's talk about the pesto flat bread... OMG! SO FREAKING GOOD!!! Need a cocktail?
