I tried to love this place. I really tried. Maybe this style of pizza just isn't my thing. I do like thin crust pizza, but for some reason Slice Parlor's version just isn't my proverbial cup of tea. My first visit to the new location, and I sat at the bar. I had an IPA, Elevated, of course. The bartender(Michael) was attentive, interested in my selection choice, and nice. The patio was packed(Friday ~7pm), I'll sit here on the next visit. I also ordered a special: salad & a slice. This place is deserving of more than the average stars listed. I was greeted right away from the bar tender. Typically I have to be blown away by the service to give it the 5 star rank. Pricing was higher than most other pizza parlors. Flavor was very good. Ingredients were fresh. One of the factors that I take into consideration in pizza is how is it when you reheat it. The owners very obviously do not care about their place. I am a regular at this place and I can say the food is amazing. Although the only reason the place is still up and running is because of it's cooks and wait staff. They are never given supplies when needed, many aspects of the restaurant need to be fixed or updated. Whoever manages or owns this place needs to respect their employees needs and wishes more. It doesn't seem like you car anyway so provide them with what they need to keep functioning your business. read more

DO NOT patronize this restaurant! I orderd a pizza tonight and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. When I arrived at the restaurant it was obvious that my order had not yet been placed as the waitstaff rummaged around to find my order - which they did, on a hand written note pad. They hurried to the kitchen to place the order. When I asked if they were just placing the pizza order their reply was "no, but it might be another few minutes." 55 minutes later my pizza FINALLY arrived. The staff apologized and offered a small soda in compensation.... like a small soda (which I don't drink) would make any difference. When I got the pie home I discovered that it was not what I had ordered. However, two bites into the pie, I realized that it was THE saltiest pizza that I had ever eaten - I couldn't eat any more and just threw out the pie. I suspect all that salt was the chef's way of telling me that I shouldn't complain about his tardiness. This is an awful restaurant and, as silly as it may sound, I would prefer Domino's over this horrific establishment. I'm voting with my wallet and will NEVER return. read more

We have eaten a few good pizzas from Slice Parlor; however, our last two visits the pizza was not as tasty as it has been in the past. One order was a whole pizza and the other was for two slices . Both pizzas barely had sauce and the whole pizza lacked the extra toppings we ordered. I've always liked their sausage but they must have changed vendors because it does not taste the same . The slices had the topping thrown on top of a cheese slice and they were not even warmed in the oven . Merely a slice of pizza with cold veggies on top and they gave us the incorrect order. The pizza is good and filling also have good salads and calzones The staff is all pretty cool, especially the bar tender, Jessie. We regularly go to the Nob Hill location 1-4 times a week but convenience was of the essence the night we visited this location. Our server made sure that we had waters right away but took another 5-10 minutes to get our drink order with two other servers working. The food came out heat-lamp warm and dry, as opposed to the Nob Hill serving fresh hot slices consistently, even when we show up in the last hour of operations. Needless to say we have given the Northeast Heights location a fair run of trials and we remain convinced that there is not the same flavor and love put into the food here as their Nob Hill counter part. I wish I would have read all the reviews before we went! We sat on the patio with one other table, it took over 45 minutes to get our 3 slices of pizza. There were tables on the inside that had sat down and were eating before we even had our server come out and check on us once! We had to go order beers from the bar ourselves, refill our own drinks and really disappointed all around. My slice was okay, my husbands was cold and undercooked so the 45 minute wait for a piece of pizza wasn't worth it. If we had been checked on even once during the unreasonable wait by our server it might have made the experience a little better. I have been meaning to review this place for awhile because it is one of the few places that I have not been happy about. My family and I went here last summer and the experience was awful. We were at Mable Brewery in the NE Heights on 9/8/17, with a large group. The Slice Parlor menu was on the table so we ordered the huge ZIA from the patio at Marble. Our pizza was delivered very timely and it was piping hot. The only mistake we made was putting out on a table to share. This was the best pizza I have had in a long time. The green chili's were HOT and I had to pick some off, but the flavor was great. The pizza was so good, when ours was gone, somebody else ordered one. We will certainly be returning and we live 30 minutes away, the only dilemma is whether to sit at Marble because the patio is away from the street, or try your patio. All we wanted was to grab a pizza with our kids but ended up leaving disappointed. Albuquerque is such a great food town that it's not necessary to give these guys a second chance.
