I absolutely recommend this place! I've been here 3 times and every time the food has been magnificent. Plus the service was good, even though it was a packed house and felt like I was being taken care of. I have had plenty of chicken wings from around Chicago and the wings from Sliccily are in my Top 3... they aren't 2nd or 3rd place either. Beautifully made and filling every time. I'm glad a friend of mine introduce me to this place because I've been back many times ever since. The owner of the pub even offered to Sponsor our men's league basketball team, how nice & thoughtful! Whatever I could do to introduce this place to others, I am going to do. They deserve it. Food poisoning on 2/20/25 at 2pm. My daughter and I had chicken Caesar salads and a chicken sandwich. I've been a regular customer, but this time the romaine was brown and not fresh. I still ate it, but soon after leaving, both of us experienced vomiting and diarrhea. I called the restaurant to report it, and the owner, Vishwa Patel, called back. Instead of offering concern or empathy, he was defensive and unhelpful, offering no apology or compensation. His response showed no care for public safety, which is why I'm sharing this review. We called the restaurant to let them know and the clueless manager Mr. Patel was very rude and said he didn't know what to tell us because his "kitchen is clean." Our server was very nice. We ordered couple appetizers and drinks. Drinks were good.. wings and mozzarella ap very good. Didn't care for our pizza, patty melt, and combo so much. I've been here 3xs, the 1st two times I didn't eat, I just sat and drank at the bar. Drinks are good and strong and the bartenders are very friendly. On my last visit I was out riding my bike and was nearby so I stopped in for pizza. Ordered a 12' sausage/pepperoni/mushroom, well done with extra sauce. The pizza came out prepared perfectly. The ingredients were delicious. The crust wasn't that grand. I would try the pizza again though. I would like to try other menu items as well. Some random guy made it awkward to sit next to me at the bar when he has been sitting at the end of the bar. When asked if the lobster grill cheese was good, the waitress response was that it was great. I doubt she ever ate the grill cheese before because it look basic and Ghastly. You'd never expect the quality you get when driving by this place on Cermak. We came in later on a Sunday for lunch with the kids and were thrilled to see they had a kid's menu - it seems like all bar when you walk in. Kids got spaghetti which comes with a yummy homemade sauce and breadstick for $5. We ordered a pizza with sausage and mushroom and enjoyed that as well. Just stepped in for a quick lunch. Much more than Pizza with lunch and drink specials every day. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich with cheese and a slice of tomato. Wow was it good. It came with a cup of homemade pepper soup and I don't like peppers but tried it anyway. The soup flavor was amazing. I can't wait to try other stuff on the menu. In an attempt to keep things local, we decided to try the newish pizza place that had opened down the street despite some less than stellar reviews. When we arrived, the only people in the restaurant at 7pm on a Sunday were staff. For the hour we were there, only one other couple entered or left the restaurant. The restaurant was pretty much dead. The waitress/bartender seemed a bit inexperienced in pouring drafts as my boyfriend's beer was overly heady. (I think that is the right word but I'm a beer novice. Either way, half his glass was foam and I watched her dump it twice before bringing it to the table) She was also unsure of the drink specials and what was included but was happy to find out the answers and help us. We kept our order basic and stuck to a pizza. We tend to have standard pizza orders to judge new places on a.k.a our favorite toppings. He does his half, I do mine and we each judge on our own tastes. The crust was very bland and flavorless. There was almost no season to the pizza itself. I actually at one point asked my boyfriend if there was sauce on it. It almost like just tasting melted cheese. I really hope they work out the kinks of their recipe and market themselves better. Change the pizza please!!!! Like other reviewers have said it tastes like a frozen pizza. The crust is as thin as it can get and the flavor is lacking. I am a pizza nut and am not picky when it comes to my favorite pie but I would not try it again unless there is a change. The staff was mediocre but at least the owner came up to us and asked how it was. I gave him my opinion (he took it well) and he said to try the wings. Maybe next time I will but I want some good pizza or maybe add a good breadstick dish. (I use to get Dr. Sticks at the place that was at this location before and REALLY miss it) I live right down the road and had high hopes for this place. I won't count this place out but the pizza needs some work. I'll end up trying it again in a couple of months. Hope it works out. We have been to this establishment several times in the last couple of weeks. The burgers are actually made from steak & are grass fed. Pizza is great. Jalapeno poppers excellent as well as the avocado bruschetta. Chicken breast sandwich was outstanding. We have had 8 chopped salads and are consistently freshly made with lots of ingredients. A definite disappointment. The best thing I can say is they had a good beer selection. We were really hoping for a great place we could walk to, but we weren't impressed by their overpriced pizza at all. We tried them out when they'd been open just a week or two. They don't have any "set" pizzas, it's basically a la carte. We ordered our pizza with feta, olives and something else, I can't even remember - probably spinach or garlic. Thinking we'd have some to take home, we ordered their largest size. When we ordered, we were informed that since we ordered feta, there would be no mozzarella. So I'm paying $4 for feta, but then I don't get mozzarella? We reluctantly agreed. The pizza came fairly quickly (there was only one other table of people and a couple people at the bar on a weekend night). The crust was thin and didn't have much taste, the pizza sauce just tasted like tomato paste. There just wasn't much substance to the pizza. Despite that fact that neither of us loved it, we managed to eat their largest pizza and still not be stuffed. Eating an entire pizza is unusual for us. We had three beers and the pizza and it was $56 dollars! WAY WAY too much money for what we got. The space could be nice but it seems it's trying to be a cross between a restaurant and a sports bar. From where I was sitting I could see three different games on the TVs and couldn't figure out which game the sound (which was turned up far too loudly for an empty place) was coming from. One thing I could not see from where I was sitting, was the beer list. Nothing was printed, it's only on a chalkboard over the bar, so when I wanted to see the menu, I had to walk across the bar. Kind of annoying. The service started out ok, but by the end we were waiting quite a long time for our check, then for our credit card to come back. I hope they can work on their issues. Stopped in here for lunch. They had a sign that caught my eye $2 pizza slices all day. So A co-worker and myself stopped in for lunch. I had two slices of sausage pizza and a cup of their broccoli cheddar soup. The soup was really good and the pizza for $2 was great. The slices were actually pretty big I ended up taking one slice home. The service was really good I highly recommend this place. Cool space. Great ambiance. I know the place is new but it's refreshing to see a staff that actually smiles and jokes around with you. The place was busy but the staff seemed to handle the rush well; we never wanted for anything and I could never see the bottom of my glass, which was a plus. We went with a group of people and the pizza came out quick. It took about 25 minutes, which was way quicker than some other places considering we ordered 6 pizzas at once and there was a decent sized crowd. I really enjoyed their pizza and so did the girlfriend. They have an interesting dough, crispy yet pan-thick. You can definitely tell the pizza was homemade. Well done. The beer selection seemed well researched and balanced. I'd love to see Paulaner, Tuchor, hoegaarden or some other hefeweizen on the menu at some point because those beers just pair nicely with pizza and spice, but not too many places carry those beers in Chicago, so maybe I'm asking for too much. As for the food, they haven't rolled out too many items on the menu yet, but that's probably a good thing. What they do make, they make well. The jalapeno poppers were brilliant, a little on the spicier side, but they were baked to perfection. This place was a great little find for us, we will definitely come back. read more

Came here today on reviews. Horrible experience ever. First I ordered 16" pizza and waited for over 25 mins. What came out an 8" pizza! I asked the server and told them I ordered an 16". Response was like oh sorry I heard 6" pizza. What? There are four of us at the table first of all the menu doesn't even show a 6" pizza. Shows an 8". If that wasn't bad enough our waitress told us the special was $3 margaritas. Get the bill surprise surprise it wasn't $3. I got charged $16 for two. What happened sliccily? Well I used to always order a pizza for takeout and I never had a problem even met the owner and we would chat here and there. I'm vegan so he let me know his sauce contained milk but not the marinera sauce, I always swapped it out, said no cheese and got some veggies on top. This place was always delish! This wound be my second time eating in and sadly my last. I raved about this place to my friends and made my friends come and eat here. I was so embarrassed when our experience was just terrible. It started out small and ended badly ok so first of all the waitress brought us our app plates. One of the plates had something on the bottom hmm what could it be? A piece of bread! (Pictures will be included) that means our plates where contaminated by someone else's old food, gross! Ok next, the nice waitress takes our orders WITH OUT writing anything down. It made us a bit weary but she did repeat everything and asked questions. Me being that one person lol made me especially weary because my order is a bit too much to remember w/out writing down. I said, a personal pizza, no cheese, marinara sauce instead of the pizza sauce and then the veggies I wanted. Ok so the drinks come, by the time we need a refill the waitress was nice enough to bring us some without asking. We all had an iced tea except for my friend who had a Coke(mind you they look identical) well she brings him and ice tea that was kinda funny so we shook it off and asked for the right thing. Here's where I got mad. EVERYONES food came out but mine. The waitress then asked me for my order again saying she just wants to make sure they get it perfect. 20min in and my friends are all done with their food! She comes to me and really does look apologetic and says just a few more minutes and she's sorry that the cook put cheese on the first one -_- ok it's fine.... FINALLY my pizza comes out! It's basically a pita bread with big chunks of veggies on top WTF!? I was hungry! I waited! I watched my friends eat and I ended up not even eating! Sooooo disappointed. I told the waitress where was the sauce!? She said oh I'm sorry you said no cheese no sauce. NO I DIDNT THATS WHY YOU ASKED ME A FEW TIMES TO REPEAT MY ORDER! she was so sorry. She offered to make another but I was done by then. My advice, just write things down next time. Was there on Friday for the happy hour. Ordered the special which was $10 bucket of beers and $5 appetizers. When we got the bill we didn't get the special. They said it's only on select appetizers but those "select" appetizers weren't specified on the happy hour sign or the menu. The waitress didn't even tell us when we ordered: I asked if we could get them for $5 each since it never explained what appetizers were included but the owner only gave us 10% off, so about $2 off our order. The avocado bruschetta app is absolutely amazing I highly recommend it to anyone. The avocados are always super fresh and it's a great concept. And the sticked garlic was amazing as well it was so creamy and garlicky. I had the chopped salad with chicken and it was a HUGE portion. And if you know what "they have the good ranch" means you'll get why I was thrilled with their ranch. I also got the honey mustard dressing too and that was really delicious as well. Good Local place prices reasonable, food for a pub variety is good, large beer selection. The place looks good and welcoming to hang out, big screen TV's to watch games. We decided to keep it local since it was snowy outside and gave this place a try. Our waiter was welcoming and attentive. Good vibes. We ordered a pizza was pretty standard not bad but not exciting we thought it needed more flavor although it was cooked well not bland, tots you cant go wrong with tots anywhere, and the Sticked Garlic it was pretty good considering I love garlic. My rating is mainly on the service and atmosphere of the place. We haven't really tried anything else on the menu. Good place to come and hang out we will definitely come try again.
