Consistently pours some of the best wines in Washington. Their Conjurer red blend is a consistently great $30ish bottle with Neil Patrick Harris on the label. They have some excellent mid/high range Syrahs, and I even like their Chardonnay and I don't love Chardonnays. The place is a smaller room in a warehouse - casual with nice seating, vinyl always playing, and knowledgeable employees. We always have a good time dropping in. read more

Delicious wines, entertaining wine labels, and friendly staff. I first tried a Sleight of Hands wine at a local restaurant and was immediately impressed. Then I went out and bought several bottles of the wine I tasted. It was months later when I realized they have a tasting room in SoDo. I missed it on my previous visits to the SoDo Urbanworks because it's on an endcap. The tasting room has a music-focused decor with a bar area, indoor table seating, and an outdoor patio. I was able to taste multiple wines and liked them all. Will be returning often. read more

Stopped in to this winery on our way to pizza. Music was thumpin' and vibe was hoppin'! Wine room is large with lots of seating, which was almost all taken up. Bar stools at the counter, various barrel inspired tables throughout, outdoor seating and a lounge-ish area where there were a couple of sofas and love seats to sit on. If you like magic and music, this place is for you. The wines have magic inspired names such as the popular Illusionist (red wine), The Conjurer (red) and The Enchantress (a Chardonnay). There are many others as well. The best part? The wine is delicious. So delicious we decided to join their wine club! The decor is that of various musicians, many of them locals. Posters, paintings and various items from different bands. There are two shelves full of vinyl albums that you can pick out and request them to be played on the turntable while you're there. It's really fun and the variety is great! The servers are really nice and very helpful in picking out a wine. Or you can always go with a tasting flight. There is a lot for parking, since it's located in SODO Urbanworks, but it's usually full. If you're not lucky enough to get a parking in the lot, you can also park on the street. We enjoyed a lovely impromptu tasting at Sleight of Hand. It was fun to learn more about Washington grapes. The tasting is red heavy, so keep that in mind if you're into lighter wines. The reds are good, heavier bodied than I normally drink, but a range of flavors to suit your palate. The tasting room is comfortable and spacious. Fun Fact: Neil Patrick Harris is a wine club member and featured on one of their labels! read more

Decided to start our little Wine day at SOH today. We decided to bring out little buddy Archie (included in pics) with us. I must say, this was some of the best customer service I've had in awhile. They greeted Archie every time they walked by, and gave him multiple treats + water as needed. Wine is also very good and I'd suggest coming here to start your wine day off. Went here with a few friends & it was so much fun! Just started drinking wine recently so wine tasting was a pretty cool experience. It lets you taste all the different types of wine they offer without fully committing to a full bottle. The Riesling was for sure my favorite, which is why it sells out so fast! I cannot recommend this place enough. We ended up here by happy accident and will definitely be going back. Great ambiance, fun retro concert flyers that made me forget how long ago they'd actually been printed... Pam was our warm and welcoming sommelier who was just as amazing as the wine. Her recommendations, service and company were the perfect compliment to the truly excellent wine. We were blown away by the Psychedelic Syrah and the Enchantress Chardonnay was delightful. Sleight of hand is funky, eclectic and a fun place to relax and taste some really delicious wines. I paid $10 for several tastings, somewhere between 6-8 and it was worth every penny! With each taste you're shown how carefully the wine has been made and the array of aromas, notes, acidities etc ...of wine made right here in Washington. I think I have a new found understanding of what terroir really means and I've got sleight of hand to thank for that! I though the Riesling was amazing and even more so once I saw the price ($18) for a wine this quality is phenomenal. Grenache was a bit higher at ($28) but again super worth it for the quality. Highly recommend and may even join their wine club! read more

The wine was ok, nothing special. I've been to their location in Walla Walla before and I like that one much better. At that location you can choose a record to play. It's smaller, more cozy and welcoming. The SODO location is large with very limited seating. They should turn up the rock music so that people can hear it. That might give the place a better vibe...and add more seating! read more

This is by far my favorite winery!!! I thought I had just found my favorite one and then I came here and wow!!!! Let me start first with the wine. Because this is a review of a winery! So we did a tasting and my taste buds were beyond amazed with every sip! The Riesling was amazing with out be overly sugar sweet, the Chardonnay was magical and I am not a fan of Chardonnay but I was a major fan of this one! The reds were everything I love! Amazing bold flavor without being crazy over powering! I fell in love with the Syrah! Everything was just perfect on the taste buds!! And the price point for the wines was exactly what you would expect for such delicious wines!! Now for the room, it was super inviting and not pretensions at all. Super friendly, amazing music, great lightening, super great environment to taste wine! Now the staff we interacted with was what really helped us enjoy our tasting. He wasn't stuck up wine snob like I have meet before in my wine tasting days. He was fun, super knowledgeable, had amazing taste in music and wine! This is a really cool winery. Very different from any other place you may go to. Named after an R.E.M song sleight of hand is winery you can't miss. Great art and merchandise all done by there artist and he will definitely tell you all about the wine as well. All the wine is named after a magician and one of our favorites the conjuring has Neil Patrick Harris on the label.
