The tasting room has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and makes for an easy Woodinville stop when you want to sit down and enjoy a tasting or a glass of wine. What really stood out, though, was the service. Our experience was made significantly better by how warm, attentive and genuinely hospitable the team was. It's one thing to enjoy the wine, but exceptional service is what turns somewhere you enjoyed into somewhere you actually want to return to. Another thing worth knowing: Matthews also offers offsite events and tastings, which is such a great option if you want to bring the experience to a private event rather than hosting everything onsite. There were a few little things about the overall experience that probably would have landed Matthews at a 4/5 for me, but the hospitality completely won me over. Great wine and welcoming hospitality will get me back every time.

However, the host that we had was not very helpful, and was quick to reject any choices that we had made for our flight, without even offering any suggestions. This experience was definitely below the standard of any wine tasting I have been to. The ambiance was very aesthetic & lovely, and although it was pouring rain outside, the heaters were efficient in keeping us warm. We still made the most of our time here regardless of whatever the host's problem was. I love that we were welcomed with a complimentary pour, and there was plenty of parking in the lot outside. Also, plan on eating before or after because the food options are very limited here.

We ended up spending the most here... Bought too many bottles and at $50 a bottle! Then we also had dinner and two wine tastings. Ambiance - A beautiful location. Again, the best of all the wineries we visited on this trip. A huge location. See my pictures. Beautiful, clean, modern, etc. See pictures. 4 floors, generous enough to let us have the 4th floor outdoor patio for our tasting (but the 4th floor tasting team did not seem to appreciate it). This probably would have been a 5 star visit if we stayed on the first floor outdoor patio. Plenty of private parking. Service - As first time customers, the best service was when we checked in at the winery thinking it was the restaurant. And because we got here early, she offered us a few samples of their signature D2 wines. So welcoming and generous. Too bad the restaurant and our tasting here after dinner was NOT as good. Wine education classes available; see their website. Price - $221 + tip. This does NOT include dinner we had next door. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 1992 and at all your locations. I am a loyal D2 drinker!

05/24/2026 TASTING…read moreROOM I loved visiting this winery and can't believe I didn't the few other times I traveled to Seattle. They do a summer concert series, and it was the first one of the season. My friend and I got there early, and only one other group had started lining up for VIP. So we went to the tasting room and grabbed seats at the bar. They were offering a $30 "Take Away Flight" with both red and white wine options. I got three reds and the white that they promoted for the summer concert series. All of them were pretty good. I loved how the wine flight was presented (see photo). I would definitely go back just to hang out at the winery next time and drink more. SUMMER CONCERT SERIES I thought the concert would be well organized since this isn't their first time. However, the staff seemed lost when it came to when and where the VIP check-in would be. We had Soundcheck VIP tickets for Yellowcard, and didn't get to go in until like 45 minutes after the scheduled time. So that cut into the VIPs' early entry time. Fortunately we got to the merch tables right before they let general admission in. There were plenty of porta potties. A decent amount of food options. We got a burger and chicken fingers & fries. Of course they offered wine, as well as beer. You also had the option to buy wine bottles at the winery and bring it into the concert area. We sat front row, which had a great view, but it was also right in front of a walkway, so that was a bit annoying. Watching soundcheck and the concert itself was very fun. Overall a good experience, and I would go back!

The food was actually great, but our server even asked us to go to the front to order it. Overall, the service felt very rushed and unorganized. The place was packed and seemed overbooked. I would skip it if you're looking for a relaxed, enjoyable wine-tasting experience.

There were 5 of us, all present at the table. Our server took two people's orders, then walked off. We were so confused. She did come back, but it was weird. Throughout the visit, she never seemed to know when to come to our table. I almost wish we could have just gone to the bar. We only had strange interactions with her and it got to the point where it became frustrating. I had a strict 90 min timeline before I had to be somewhere and was only on my 3rd wine at about 80 min, so I asked to skip ahead to the last one. I still paid full price and tipped, but I didn't feel like what I paid was aligned with the value I received. The tasting room is lovely and the member lounge is fantastic. The setting is absolutely gorgeous--one of those places that feels magical once the sun starts to set. The décor, atmosphere, and overall attention to detail created a wonderful experience for our group. The live music was lovely and so much fun. It truly brought the spirit of Mamma Mia to life and made the entire evening feel festive, joyful, and memorable. The Mediterranean food was outstanding: delicious, plentiful, and beautifully presented. Every course felt thoughtful, and it was clear that a great deal of effort went into creating a full, celebratory dining experience. I also want to acknowledge the winery for reaching out afterward and handling my concern with such unexpected generosity and kindness. Their response meant a great deal and says so much about the people behind the event. It is rare to find a business that genuinely listens, follows up, and goes above and beyond to make things right. This was a beautiful evening with great food, wonderful music, a stunning setting, and truly thoughtful hospitality. I wholeheartedly recommend this event to anyone considering it next year. Gather a group of friends, enjoy the wine and the scenery, and be prepared for a very special night.
