Rick provided excellent support for my sleep number bed. When I moved to a new house he was able to answer questions about disassembly that really helped. He's worked at sleep number as a service tech and salesman. His knowledge is extensive. BTW my bed has been great. I love the ability to change the firmness when I'm having issues with my back or sometimes just to help improve my sleep. The tracking on the app is great too. I have had sleep number beds for many years, since at least 2008. I recently purchased two IEL XL twins to replace my old California King. I previously had P5 king. The IEL model is not worth the extra money. No matter what I do I can't make my bed comfortable. Do not buy an IEL. App isn't working well. Sleep number confuses me with my daughter. DO NOT GET A SLEEP NUMBER BED!!! I hate writing bad reviews, especially one like this b/c the experience at the store was fine & the salespeople were great, so they don't deserve the bad review. But Sleep Number is terrible. I got a SN bed a little while ago, & it was fine for the first few years. But after a while, the air chamber developed a leak & I had to call to get it serviced. I called & spoke to a customer service representative (after a 15 min wait time). The representative had me troubleshoot the problem over the phone, which wasn't easy & actually made the problem worse... So I had them schedule a technician to come out to fix the problem. Here's the real issue. SN will NOT just send someone to fix the problem. It's actually a 3 step solution... (1) They will send someone out to diagnose the problem, (2) you then order the part, & (3) they send someone out to fix the problem. And they charge $150 for each time they send someone out out, so that's $300 to fix the problem, not including the cost of the parts... But why??? I just spent 15 minutes on the phone with a representative diagnosing & troubleshooting the problem... So we had the technician come out. He literally spent 10 minutes looking at the bed, did stuff I already did, & said, "looks like there's a leak in the bed chamber..." Uh, thanks for the news flash... We already figured that out. I'm glad I had to pay $150 for someone to come out for 10 min. to tell me something I already knew. Now we ordered the part... And SN's warranties are extremely limited. It's only 4 years old, & we're paying 1/2 the full price value of the part...which is exclusive to SN. This isn't like buying a car (which is almost the same price as a bed) that you can get serviced by 3rd party vendor or fixed using 3rd party parts. You're stuck with SN as long as you have the bed. The part itself was like $300, so we're getting it for close to $150. The technician was great, & very apologetic for the situation... He said that, once the parts arrive, we can try to replace it ourselves, that it wasn't that hard. We may end up doing that to save ourselves another $150. If we do, it'll be $300 total to fix the problem. If I end up having the technician come back out to replace it for me, then it'll be $450. read more

We walked in to purchase a new bed for me to replace the old one. We were impressed that they kept records of our purchase. They knew what kind of bed we bought over 12 years ago and more. So, they knew what we were ready for the newest and upgraded version of the bed. Cipriano the salesman was very personable, friendly, and helpful. Of course, the cost from 20 years to now sure surprised us. Gads! Beds sure cost a lot. I believe this is going to be worth it. Sleep Number bed lasts for a long time for us. BEWARE...Shady and untrustworthy company...So much to BE AWARE OF... It was time for a new mattress. My sister had just purchased a sleep number bed and just went on and on about how much she loves her sleep number (especially her new foot warmer). She had us convinced. Just for reference's sake, we purchased the i8 with foot warmers, lighting, etc. While my sister and other loyal customers may rave about their experience, it is important to recognize that this bed IS NOT FOR EVERYONE....(and it wasn't for us). Because of this, I wanted to enlighten those considering buying Sleep Number beds to be careful about many of the things they don't disclose when purchasing. The good: My experience at the Sleep Number store in Torrance was good. The gal who took us around to try out the beds was very helpful and knowledgeable. At another visit to returned some items, I had good service once again. The only bad thing was they didn't mention a return/pick up fee of a whopping $250 to pick up the bed should you decide it's not for you. Oh, she said she told us, but my husband and I are 100% that she didn't. What we heard was "You have 100 days to return your mattress for a FULL REFUND should it not work out for you and there is NO RESTOCKING fee"....Nothing at all was mentioned about a $250 pick up fee. And no, you cannot bring it to the store yourself to avoid that cost. "But it's in your contract".....Please show me......????? Yes, the paperwork that we signed does say there is a charge, but it DOES NOT give an amount...which begins our nightmare with the Sleep Number Company and its sketchy schemes and hidden prices and outright lies. The Bad: 1. Like I said already, it's going to cost you $250 to pick up the bed if you don't like it. They really try to delay the pick-up. They scheduled ours over 6 weeks out. There is no mention of this price in the contract. 2. Know and understand that the bed frame is NOT RETURNABLE. This was made very clear to us, so we knew this, but what we didn't know is that the $4,000 bed frame we bought with all the bells and whistles doesn't work on other adjustable beds. The bed frame will work, but the bells and whistles WILL NOT. Our advice - Go on Facebook marketplace or OfferUp and buy an adjustable bedframe that someone is trying to sell for pennies on the dollar. Any adjustable bedframe will do if you don't care about the bells and whistles and, in most cases, you will find someone like us who has wasted $4K and want to get rid of theirs. We chose to keep ours and bought a mattress from another place. If you are dying to try out the Sleep Number but you are unsure that you will like it, I would suggest you buy the REFUNDABLE bed (knowing that it's going to cost you $250 to return it) but don't buy the frame. You can always get that later once you know that the bed is for you and you are going to keep the bed. 3. Keep in mind that when you go to the store, the beds feel completely different than how they feel at home. They try to tell you that it is because of the break in period but it's more than that. At the store, the mattress had a combination memory foam/air feel....at home it was all air....just like sleeping on one of those guest mattresses. Complete misery for us. 4. When you call to complain at Sleep Number, they do their best to get you to keep their mattress. They even sent us a foam topper, which we really liked, to try out to see if it would help our sleep. It did, but only temporarily. At the same time, they gave us a $900 discount, whether we kept the bed or not, which they said would be evenly applied to our balance (the bed and frame) - but this was NOT TRUE. They put that $900 balance on the bed, therefore reducing the amount of the refund. Two supervisors later and after hearing the recorded call of what we were told - THEY STUCK TO THEIR GUNS and did not evenly distribute the discount. This is what we call a lack of integrity by the company. With so many mattress places to consider, I would steer everyone away from the Sleep Mattress company solely based on their lack of integrity. From our experience, Sleep Number is just a $300 glorified air chamber wrapped up in cheap foam that sells for $5K + from a company who lies and doesn't honor their word. I visited the Store to take a look at their King Size i8 Flex Base Bed. The Sales Associate Sammy was the best. He's not a hard sell guy. He provides you all the information you need to know, asks what your needs are and accommodates you at every turn. I guess those people who wrote a 1 Star Review for this business for a purchase they made online does not reflect their experience with this location. I highly recommend this location. Sleep Number has me losing sleep!!! I placed my order on 10/23/22 with a delivery date of 11/15. I moved the delivery date to 11/19 and took the day off. On 11/19, I missed an 8:30am call and received a text moving my delivery to 12/6! Who does that! I called the 800 and they could not explain what happened. They gave me a delivery date of 11/23 on the 11/19. On 11/21 they changed the date again to 12/6. After speaking with an account manager, they texted me a delivery date of 12/2. Somehow they split my order, I'm not sure if this is a delivery or disposal date. I have spoken to 3 different representatives on the 800. They still have not confirmed my delivery date. I missed my Birthday, Thanksgiving and maybe Christmas. I called Rick my salesperson who was very helpful and friendly during the sale but now he is distant and referring me to the 800. This is very poor customer service. They should have made a call to the 800 to gather the facts in the same manner they would during the purchase. Stay away from any sleep number. I bought pillows online and they cannot be returned. I took their pillow quiz and bought the recommended pillows. Since the quality was very poor and not firm at all, I tried to exchange them. You can only do one-time exchange within 30 days but the shipping took 1 week. The store nearby is closed (due to covid) so I was not able to drive 15-20 miles for exchange. Now they wont let me exchange so I just wasted $200 and end up with the trash. If you need bedding - go to other stores. read more
