They asked real questions about how we live in the space instead of steering us toward whatever they wanted to move, and the recommendations were better for it. We walked out having spent more than we intended, and I don't regret a dollar of it. That's what happens when the experience is good enough to change your mind. Then the delivery team showed up and matched it. George, Tony, and Griffin were professional and careful from the moment they walked in. Everything was unpacked, wiped down, and set in place properly, and they took every empty box with them on the way out. Nothing left for us to deal with. Compared to Pottery Barn and RH, the furniture is built better and the service isn't close. This is our furniture store now.

Shelly did not and in fact tried to tell us that we couldn't wait on hold to speak to a supervisor even, it was aganist "the rules". This company that Arhaus has aligned with is a complete scam. Beware when buying anything from this company and what you will have to deal with (and pay for again) on the backend. Extremely disappointing to position yourself as luxury when you get better service and likely product from a more affordable company.

When I did get to the store and purchase the item (right before the store closed) another employee helped me carry the very bulky furniture piece out to my car. I saw an announcement for the grand opening of this furniture store in Mission Valley. I called and expressed my interest in buying a vintage looking couch in a bright raspberry-ish color. I know; that seemed like a stretch for the furniture stores here in SD. Paul assured me that his coworker Sandi had experience in both retro design and color, and that he'd be happy to send her over to my home for a consult. He told me that there was a fee for the service, but it would be then applied to anything that I purchased. When I told him that would be fine if I could be guaranteed of said design and color options, he said he'd be happy to send her over without a fee. That was a nice first impression! Soon thereafter, bright and cheery and ever so knowledgeable Sandi arrived with a big smile that matched her positive attitude. She measured, looked at the current state of my living room for color, texture and style, as well as asked me for color/style ideas. After providing her with those things, we made an appointment for me to go to the showroom. In the next couple of days-- even before my appointment, she had sent me a couple of sofa shape options as well as a spot on fabric color. Oh my goodness-- a miracle worker! At my meeting with her in the store, she had me test out the sofas for cushion level comfort and depth. Then, it was easier to narrow down my choices. I was there for a couple of hours. I was thrilled that we were pretty much on the same page about what would work-- as well as our collective philosophy of "thinking outside the box". Accordingly, we came up with a fabulous design-- incorporating design elements from 3 different sofas. As if that wasn't enough, the next day she came over-- again, to fine tune both the shape and dimensions, to assure that it would work wonderfully in my home. We were greeted by Michael Burlaza who offered us a warm smile and a cold bottle of water. We quickly realized Michael was the real deal...Knowledgable about the product, professional in his demeanor and honest if he couldn't answer a question on the spot (but would follow up later...). He gave us his card and we were on our way. Our search for upholstered pieces at other retail stores (and a few other RH galleries) led us right back to Michael. Even after relocating to the Central Coast, Michael was always available via email or phone to discuss our furniture needs. We ended up selecting a few more pieces at RH than anticipated, but the fabric selection, upholstery quality (the seaming was the best we have seen out there) and summer sale pricing proved too great of a force! We recently traveled back down to San Diego and spent a very detailed three hours with Michael to place our upholstery order (RH was also able to arrange a delivery date that works with our construction schedule). Heading back to Paso, we couldn't help but feel confident about our purchases and excited about seeing the finished pieces in our new home.
