Lacking personal connection . Waiting for an appointment for three months is too long !

Unfortunately, the customer service was very rude and unprofessional here. Would not recommend.

My partner had an at-home sleep study where the equipment was broken, so no data collected or service rendered. She had to miss work to both pick up and bring back the equipment, and was told she'd receive a call to reschedule the whole thing. She never received a call. She received a bill for $120. The billing department is a voice mailbox. Neither of us have literally ever spoken to a human at the billing department after multiple calls The actual humans I have spoken with have been incredibly rude. DO NOT come here, if you were referred here ask for a different referral. read more

I've been a patient at sleep insights for about 8 years. Even though I'd much rather not have to go-to a specialist for sleep issues, the doctors and staff here have always been very friendly, warm, and welcoming. Always I have felt like my questions and concerns were answered. Always I have felt like I have received great care... and probably the most important thing, I have always felt like my doctor has spent more time than most doctors spend with patients these days. I've had about 3 sleep studies done and each time was a pleasurable experience. They go above and beyond to make you feel as comfortable as possible. The rooms you sleep in are like hotel suites, and the beds are firm but comfortable. There is access to bathrooms and showers. Also a fully stocked kitchenette in the lobby with a plethora of caffeine free drinks in the fridge, as well as decaf teas and coffees with a Keurig machine. There is also many snacks. I don't think anyone likes having sleep studies done but if you have to have it done, sleep insight's is top notch! read more

Readily apparent that this is a money making churn operation, from the demand for upfront payment before services were even delivered, to the barely adequate overnight elastic band monitor, double billing for seeing a single professional, to requiring patients keep coming in (and paying) to 'refresh' their sleep apnea diagnosis. I also suspect they may be committing some shading insurance practices and are definitely billing for a Drs time plus a PAs time when seeing only the PA. Talked to my insurance company about it, who pushed back for me to handle it , with Sleep Insights telling me that was the way they did it and it was all legal. They were polite and courteous. However, they apparently only focus on sleep apnea and trying to get you to take as many expensive tests as possible. It was the worst medical experience I have ever had. I've seen other sleep specialists who actually tried to help and who discussed various approaches to treating insomnia. Sleep insights was a total waste of time and money for me. I had to make significant effort to even get my records. I cannot recommend these people. I wish had gone to another sleep specialist. I never saw an MD at Sleep Insights, but was billed for the services of one. I suggest you read the reviews carefully of this organization. read more

I got behind an accident on my way to my appt this morning...I was 10 mins late which I profusely apologized for. It's very unlike me. I was told (after driving from Macedon to Jefferson Ave) my appt would need to be rescheduled. I was very upset, to which the receptionist said "well, your appointment was at 8:40" I replied "no, I just spoke to the woman yesterday to confirm, and my appt is at 8:45" She just shrugged her shoulders. I walked out and I will never set foot in sleep insights again. In the nearly two years I have been a patient, how many times have I sat and waited while they are running late??? It would have been nice to be given (at the minimum) the same courtesy. read more

Update: ended up with pneumonia. No offer to meet with doctor. Incurred a lot of medical bills for pneumonia, yet they charged me $200 for the 15mins setting my Cpap so that it was unusable. They Sent my bill to collections. Even though the only thing they did for me is make me I'll, and likely to have ongoing problems with pneumonia. They didn't even try to help. read more

My husband had difficulty using the CPAP all night, they did the bare minimum to help him which resulted in our insurance denying his claim. Now we're stuck with a bill of $400 more than they said it would cost. They're response - "sorry we quoted you the wrong amount". They are out to make money, not help people! read more

I've been a CPAP user since 1997 and have experienced many service providers. Sleep Insights seems to be a good one. The people I've interacted with are professional and knowledgable. They treat me well. I would recommend them. read more

No appointments after 4pm and no actual help. Can't get a mask that fits after my old one was discontinued. New head gear broke because it doesn't fit... Not their problem. Have to wait a month to get a new one. Tried 3 times (each time taking time off work because of their hours) to have a mask fitting to get a mask that works. Hate full face mask but told no other option. Guess I wear my 2 year old one til it breaks. read more

After the interview (never saw a Doctor) and the sleep study, they scheduled my results appointment a full month away. I was initially excited to have this problem resolved but this has definitely dampened my enthu Decided to go ahead and give it a try. After six months and four severe sinus infections even though I carefully cleaned it per instructions. I finally decided to take it back. Carefully cleaned everything (looks new) and gave it to the receptionist who said she will take care of it. Within weeks, I received a bill for $500.00 for damages to the machine. They claim something was sprayed all over the unit and cannot be used. Believe me when I say that truly looked new and nothing was ever sprayed on it ever. After discussing it with the receptionist, she said someone would call, nobody called and I just keep getting a bill for $500.00. So, I have to pay a lawyer now or they will send the bill to collection and ruin our good credit ratind. Updated; Sleep insights said they would retract the bill and discard the unit to avoid a dispute. Problem solved! read more

I have been using cpap for four or five years. i've always been with sleep insites from the beginning testing until now. I went in today to get new supplies and was told I must make an appointment to see their doctor and get my equipment checked and to make sure I still needed it? What?? Of course I still need it. I snore like a grizzly bear without it. I'm going to contact my insurance company to find out if they require that I see sleep insites doctor If not, bye bye sleep insites. I can buy the equipment on line at several different sites and my insurance will cover it. I really liked this place at the beginning, but now they have grown and I'm not to sure anymore. read more

I feel the need to share my experience so far after reading the negative reviews. I didn't think waiting a little more than a month for my study was shocking. I wait longer than that for a mammogram appointment. That wasn't an issue at all. The night of the sleep study, someone promptly let me in and led me to my room. I had to wait for a while in the room, but I sat in the big comfy chair and watched TV for a while. My tech was AWESOME! She was very professional, very friendly, very attentive, and made me feel very comfortable (please thank her again for me). If I woke up and stayed away for 5 seconds, she was right there on the intercom making sure I was okay and asking if I needed anything. I couldn't have asked for a better tech. As for the room, it was great. It was very clean, didn't have a strong odor, had good lighting, great TV, mints on the pillows... I don't have any complaints at all. The only weird thing is that the bathroom was outside the room (but it's not like I ran into anyone other than my own tech when I had to leave the room). In the hall near the room, they provided snacks and drinks galore! I'm still waiting for my results, but I'll try and write again to say how that went. I took away one star for my first appointment (the initial consult). While she was very nice and seemed very knowledgeable... the order in which she asked questions and made comments, made it seem like... since I had met my deductible, she was recommending a sleep study in the facility vs. one in my own home. I just couldn't shake the impression that the decision had more to do with financials than me personally. If I hadn't met my deductible, would I bet getting a study in my own home instead? These folks are the WORST at keeping appointments. Twice they failed to set up a link for my telemedicine appointment, and when I called to alert them to this, there was no one answering the phone. Both times I missed the appointment because when I finally go through to a human being, "It's too late for her to meet with you now." Ugh. Looking for another provider. read more

Dr. Murray was extremely rude to me and refused to speak to me about my health issues when I called to talk to him. He told the receptionist Conny who was also extremely rude to me that he would not speak to me until my appointment 3 weeks later. I was struggling with sleep issues that were very disruptive to my life and did not have time to wait for a simple question about medication to be answered 3 weeks later. I would never recommend someone to go here. I ended up going to a different doctor that was actually able to help me. read more

Upon receiving an appointment, seeing the doctor, scheduling an appointment for the sleep study, I was truly elated that it could happen as all my doctors are convinced my issues may stem from a sleep disorder, only to receive a call Thursday evening to inform me the technician was not available that Saturday evening. I was astonished that a medical facility would have only one Technician, no subs nothing nada. Chalk up another terrible experience with these voo doo sleep study, the other was U of R. Being that this is the second sleep clinic I have been to, this one was far better than the one at Unity who misdiagnosed me. Everyone was very professional, pleasant and knowledgeable they are just painfully slow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in getting appointments. I started this in July or August and it is now almost January and still waiting to receive an appointment to be set up with my Cpap! read more

I chose to go to this place as it was the first place to have an appointment. I completed the sleep study, attended the appointment for the follow up and expected to walk out with a cpap. No, i need a cpap but they wanted to "run it through insurance" and I would pay monthly and that fee is based upon where I am at with my deductable. This "payment plan" rubbed me the wrong way so i request a copy of my perscription. They failed to give it to me. I called and requested a perscription and was told by an incredibly rude Respiratory Therapist that I would not understand it so no. When I explained I don't need to understand it they explained they only send them directly to suppliers. When I said i will be traveling and need the perscription in the event i need a replacement. I was yet again declined. They have fully left me with the impression that they don't give you your own perscription so that you are forced to buy all your supplies from them. I received the services that were asked but nothing above that . I guess the best way to describe my experience is , it was not up to my standards when it comes to a medical facility and experience. My initial appointment was with the doctor , dr. Dominic. I was impressed with him he was reassuring, pleasant , professional everything you would want in a doctor. However , after my first appointment I never saw him again. When I went for the sleep study the room was like a hotel but I still felt like the cleanliness was not up to par. The first thing I smelled when I walked in was a heavy febreezed room. This for one is dangerous especially if a person has asthma. I don't , but it made me extremely uncomfortable and did so through the night. I got comfortable in the first room only then to be moved because of faulty equipment. The tech was again fine but just did not seem professional and the beds headboard was splattered with dried goo they use to secure the sensors. I didn't feel like the linens were hospital quality , they were trying to make it homey but for me I would of preferred more clinical because it seems more sterile. Other people might prefer the other aspect. It took over a month for me to get my results and have an appointment. Then I had to wait another week to see the tech to get setup. The tech I was suppose to meet with called me and set the appointment, when I got there he claimed I was suppose to be there at 2 , not 10 , I never ever make appointments in the afternoon. Therefore even though I realize he didn't have another appointment, I saw an assistant. She was good but again not very professional. Lastly I came for a follow up appointment and did not see my doctor but met with two very young , and what look to be doctors in residence. I might try another clinic to continue my treat ments in the future. read more

-- Part Two of my Sleep Insights experience : After my initial visit at Sleep Insights I thought it was going to be my last. But for the sake of my health I knew it would be important to go back and have my sleep study conducted. I was apprehensive about going back but decided to continue the process for my overall health because of how long it took to get the first appointment. Once again I had a terrible experience with Rebecca. My mother and I arrived at the sleep facility and waited at the door for about 2 mins. Rebecca met us at the door and led us to our room while saying : " Don't worry I wont be sleep tech tonight , I saw the review you put up about me online". At this point my mother and I are in shock by the lack of professionalism and disrespect , yet again. Keep in mind that I am a teenager and she is an adult that is suppose to be providing me with a service. My mother then proceeds to step in the hallway with her and explains in detail how disturbing her behavior has been for now a second time. Rebecca then starts to repeatedly apologize and says" this is why I wanted the other sleep tech to answer the door". After her and my mother are done talking she says that my mom will have to sleep in a chair and that a trundle bed wont be provided. However a trundle bed was offered to us last time. Overall , I found it very hard to get comfortable and fall asleep during my actual sleep study because of how uncomfortable she made me feel . On a positive note , Maureen was my sleep tech and was absolutely amazing! You could tell that she truly cares about her patients along with her job. I personally would not recommend sleep insights but if you have an appointment already for a sleep study I recommend asking for Maureen or Justin . They are true professionals and are the star players of the Sleep Insights team. read more
