Rude and unhelpful front desk employee. Quickly deteriorating condition. If you can stay anywhere else, you should.

We opened door to room and was hit with the most noxious fumes from what I guess is industrial cleaner it was so bad it made my wife and I nauseous eyes burning even my dogs were trying to get out. The room itself was dirty beds were suspect carpets extremely worn and dirty just a nightmare. We had to leave. Worst motel I been in cleanliness specifically as an issue in many years. Also as a footnote if you use a booking service please don't just take the reviews do some extra checking only takes a short time and also make sure you spend a little extra for trip protection, I usually don't because I'm familiar with most places I stay when traveling but regret not doing it for this trip.

This was the last room for 50 miles of the Pendelton Round-Up, and the price was jacked! This place…read moreis disgusting - trash everywhere, room was filthy and smelled like a wet dog, water comes out of the tap with sediment in it, room service hadn't cleaned or vaccumed before we checked-in (potato chip crumbs and dirty tissues around the bed), sheets were threadbare and felt like 50 grit sandpaper, windows did not open and no fan in the bathroom, A/C did not work, and despite the big message board on the sign at the road ("FREE WI-FI and NEW HD TV's) there was no remote for the TV so we could not even turn it on. When we asked the staff to help us make the TV work, 3 times in 2 nights, they were rude and did not care one bit (too concerned about chatting with their friends in the lobby and whatever they were all doing on their phones). Don't stay here, you've been warned. Keep on driving or sleep in your car - you'll be better off!

However we were woken very early at 06.15 with deliveries/staff arrivals occurring beneath our room (204) which was an issue. However when we requested a room move the staff could not have been more efficient and obliging and the following night we slept until 09.30! The whole hotel is spotlessly clean. I ate in the bar one evening (interesting and tasty non typical bar food - very positive comment!) and my server was a lovely bubbly and chatty lady who took an interest in my conversation. If only she had not been at work I would have loved to keep chatting with her for hours......

When I booked the reservation they had a full brunch menu not a buffet. I had to go pour my own cup of drip coffee and they had the nerve to charge me $6 for it. 4 adults and 2 kids and the total was $425 because they included a compulsory 22% "catering fee" and then had the audacity to ask for more tip after being ignored and forgotten by the waiter. We will not be back and definitely not recommending to anyone.

The mansion itself is gorgeous along with the salt water pool and botanicals. There was an accident that had caused some water to come into the room. Not a big deal to us at all, it was very minor. The owner was so kind and gave us an additional night for free! We got to really enjoy the mansion since we had another night. We took bubble baths, watched movies, played ping pong, and ate dinner at The Vine fine dining restaurant (my review for how amazing it was is separate from this one). We loved how calm and quiet everything was as there were no children allowed either. The wake up service was great AND the coffee was so good which is unheard of at most hotels. ;) Breakfast was indescribable, OMG!!! Top shelf chefs are employed here! Michelle and Jessica were very kind and accommodating during our trip. Overall a much needed stay that was absolutely perfect.

The property is stunning -- each room uniquely styled with international flair, from Italian and Spanish to French and even Dubai-inspired décor. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with a pool area that instantly transported us to Tuscany. There were plenty of loungers for relaxing by the sparkling swimming pool, plus a generously sized hot tub to unwind in. The staff truly elevated our stay -- warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. A special shoutout to Rosalina, who was an absolute gem. She made us feel so welcome and even surprised us with a homemade tres leches cake to celebrate one of our friend's birthdays. That personal touch meant the world. We dined at the property one evening; the meal was enjoyable, though not quite exceptional. Still, the ambiance of the mansion more than made up for it. Located about 20 minutes outside downtown Walla Walla, Cameo Heights offers a peaceful retreat -- serene, secluded, and blissfully quiet. The only trade-off is the drive to and from wine tastings, which can feel a bit long at times. But once you're back, it's pure tranquility.
