They gave my son a quote for $800.00 which is reasonable for a complicated fix. To quote a price before they even see what the work entails they show up and have you sign off on the work. I've never had a company do that. I had them out last year to do a quick job on my water heater. They have a $50.00 call out fee and charged for time and materials. My total charge was around $250.00 which is reasonable. This was not an emergency call which is usually a bit more. When I called the company the manager wouldn't even talk to me, they had their receptionist relay the message. This girl was so rude and their only resolution they offered was to come back and undo the work they did. They should be ashamed of themselves. Buyer Beware with this bunch! Don't take their quote until the work is done. How does anyone know what the job entails unless they have seen the problem. Total Scam.

But they contacted the manufacturer and found out that it was. While they waited for the new factory part to arrive, they temporarily installed a used part so I'd have hot water right away. When the new factory part came in a few days later, they called and made an appointment to install it. Again, they showed up on time as promised. I've had no problems with my hot water heater since. I hate to leave a less than positive review as we absolutely feel Alcorn does high quality work for…read morea reasonable price, but in this instance we simply feel ripped off and will likely not make use of their services again We had Alcorn electric out here (as we have several times before) due to no power to a couple of our outlets. As always, they were professional, polite, and able to get us on the schedule quickly. (One of the outlets that was not working is the one that provides electricity to our tankless water heater). We are first time homeowners and admittedly unfamiliar with all things electric (hence the call to an electrician when we could not determine why several outlets were not working). We had tried the breakers but did not know/think to look for a tripped GFI switch. In less than 10 minutes, Alcorn head located the trip to GFI and push the button. We were then sent an invoice for $150.00 To say we were shocked was an understatement we absolutely appreciate that time is money and have no problem paying for peoples time and professional services.... but in this instance to maintain $150 callout fee when the work required was simply to locate and reset a GFI switch left a very bad taste in our mouths. Even a reduced fee would have been more decent in our opinion. As I mentioned, this is not in any way a reflection on the quality of work and professionalism that Alcorn provides. They have done substantial jobs for us in the past and we have been nothing but pleased. Unfortunately this last encounter has left us searching for a new electrician for future jobs. Alcorn appears to have many positive reviews- all deserved. I am certain this won't impact their business, nor should it. We were just caught off guard by the charge and after asking others in the community their opinion- all were in agreement so we opted to share our experience.

DaWayne, the owner, came out to our property and the Engineers report and go went over what would need to be done. He made us aware of the permitting process and told us it would take at least 30 days before the permit would be approved. Within a couple days of receiving the permit we were put on their list to begin work. His crew was professional and we are very happy with the work that was done. We hope to enjoy the same kind of responsiveness and professionalism in years to come. Update to my initial review for the service received at Air Experts from Friday. Today I spoke…read morewith Casey, and as I expected, he is still arguing that the contract says "such and such" regarding discounts applied and that they are not willing (actually he stated that he CANNOT change the refund) to refund the remaining $76 of the money that was quoted to me by Alyssa ($298.50). I am also aware that the discount Casey is refusing to return to me is something that HAS NEVER been done in the past, when a customer cancels the service contract. So this is inaccurate that Casey cannot refund the remaining $76, I called last week and checked with them before I decided to cancel the agreement. I know that Casey is new to this position and he is unfamiliar with how previous transactions have been handled. I asked Casey why is he arguing with me about the $76 difference, he stated "I am not arguing with you". Okay if he wasn't arguing with me, then why is he not writing me a check for $76, because of the quote given to me by Alyssa? I sure hope that the $76 that Casey is refusing to give me is worth the loss of business. I let Casey know that my poor review would remain because HE REFUSES to return the amount that I was promised. A quote is a quote, so beware if you are quoted numbers in the future, you might want to get it in writing or either record the conversation. They do not honor verbal quotes! Thank you.
