Their sales guy came out and gave us a quote of $11k for our replacement roof. We begin the process and the insurance comes back and said they would cover $18k. Slaughter comes back and does the crap bad companies do and submit to the insurance for $18k. Except the insurance wouldn't cover it because they quoted $11k. Long story short we ended up having to pay out of pocket $7k. Do not trust them. It might be "just the insurance business" but they are all crooks. To top it off they gave us a "coupon" for $800 and wouldn't honor it at the end of the work. read more

All I can say is--get it in writing, what they tell you they do not stand behind. I was told at time of a repair that it was covered for a 1 year period, had a leak in same location at 10 months. I was told, "we would never put a warranty on a repair", when I called to report the leak the office personnel even acknowledged the time frame but denied saying anything once the repairman came over. Pretty sad that a company with such good ratings won't stand behind their work. Just get it in writing and you'll probably be okay. read more

I had a new roof put on my house and it could not have gone better. Very professional, timely updates, when they say their are going to be at your house at 6:30am, they are at your house at 6:30am! When I got home you could not tell they had been there except for my beautiful new roof. They clean up every part of the old roof. We got a new roof on the house we bought. This company was chosen by the seller. They damaged a tree on the property, probably while maneuvering their trailer into position. They never did anything about it. The good: They did a PERFECT job of tearing off the old roof and installing the new one. I couldn't find a single nail on the ground after they were done. They didn't leave any garbage behind at all and the new roof was put on perfectly and looks great. I would have given them five stars if they didn't damage the tree or at least came forward and offered to try to fix it. That being said, I would use this company again because they did an excellent job otherwise. read more

It was all in pretty bad shape but the roof was by far the worst. One of the neighbors recommended Slaughter Roofing. I wanted to wait to post a review until the job was done. Now that it is here you go... My initial conversation and bid with a guy named Andy was great. He came and checked everything out. Clearly knows what he's doing, and seemed like a great guy. We had Slaughter Roofing reroof my parents' home in Fort Collins; they were recommended by our insurance, State Farm. Several years had gone by when I noticed that the back porch might have a slight lifting in a couple of places along the edge. Mike Slaughter came out, checked the situation, determined that the original porch construction should have used longer nails. He not only put in longer nails, but did so at no cost. How refreshing to have such an "old school" approach to one's business. I fully expected to have to at least pay a mimimal amount, but they said, "No, we appreciate your business and trust." We contacted Slaughter roofing at the recommendation from our insurance company State Farm to put a roof on our new construction shop we are building. This was nearly three months ago and contact with them was made weekly only to hear they will start the job next week. They have sent someone by to do an "estimate" three times but they only say they'll start next week. The work has never been started again, after nearly three months. I would not recommend Slaughter if you actually want the job done in a timely manner or in our case, at all. read more
